From Michael Carpenter:
Spoken to a friend of mine at Gwinnett Civic Center in Atlanta, GA, and she told me the attendance for TNA's Bound For Glory on 10/14 was 4,000 included comps.

Its pretty bad compared to WWE's sold out arenas that carry 16,000

How the hell is that bad for TNA? 6,000 is their highest number with their lowest being 3,500. OHHH THAT'S SOOO TERRIBLE FOR TNA .

The questions now are
A. How many people does the arena hold
B. How many of those tickets were given free by Pacman Jones

If their lowest is 3,500, 4,000 isn't great. So yeah, I would think it's pretty bad. It's only 500 more than their worst attendance. So how is it good?

1500 of those were because of Pacman Jones though... that's about half that were papered tickets -_-

Holy crap, is that right? Pacman gave away 1,500 tix? So TNA only had about 2,500 paying holders?

Who says the 1,500 tickets Pacman gave away even showed up? You don't know that. The arena can be set up to hold a max. of 13,000 or so with a minum of 4,500 or so.

You don't know otherwise though... 1500 tickets were given away (probably plus more with radio give aways or whatever) therefore it is a very safe assumption that a good chunk of the attendance could be designated to those 1500.

That's true. I don't see how 4,000 is bad for TNA when WWE drew 1,000 (5,000 in total) more in '04.

It doesn't matter how bad nor good the PPV is for attendance numbers. Regardless, of if every match was ***** or * - the fact is WWE drew 5,000 & TNA drew 4,000.

I'm not saying it's bad per say, I'm just saying it would look a whole lot better if there wasn't the prospect of having 1500 papered tickets...

I agree but for all we know maybe out of those 1,500 people only 100 or so showed up. I think it would've been better to give them out to everyone from the street team that busted their ass off to promote the event - that you know are fans instead of giving 1,500 tickets to kids just because they got good grades - that might not by fans. Plus, it was only like 12-13 people as a captians & say everyone brings 2 people with them. It's my opinion & would've looked a hell of alot better than Pacman Jones giving out 1,500 tickets to people who might not have been fans. I still think the number is impressive for them.

That's a good point, the Street team that helped promote the show should have had priority over students who probably were interested in good grades because they wanted good grades, not because they wanted to go to a wrestling show... there might have been a few who went but I dunno. The street team should have got something. 4000 isn't terrible, it's definitely showing signs of improvement which is always a positive.
