I got the idea to do this from reading an old Power Slam magazine. So much talent, yet I would do it completely different to how it was done. And this is how I'd do it. This is an early 1998 diary, yet I'm not setting my calendar so it might not start in early 1998, sorry. TV Shows Monday Night Raw (Prime Time, Monday Nights, USA Network) Shotgun (Graveyard, Saturday Nights, Local Network) Sunday Night HeAT (Early Evening, Sunday Nights, USA Network) Titles & Champions WWF World: Shawn Michaels NWA World: Dan Severn WWF Intercontinental: Rocky Miavia WWF Lightweight: Taka Michinoku WWF European: Triple H WWF Tag Team: New Age Outlaws Show Preview & News Soon

WWF Shotgun Saturday Night 12/02/97 Champion vs. Champion!
Match One - Owen Hart def. Christian Cage in 17:32 In a fast-paced, technical marvel of an opener, Owen Hart was took to the limit by this newcomer in the first match of the evening. A student of WWF's development facility, Christian Cage was taking all Owen Hart gave and giving it back. The finish came when Christian went for a reverse DDT but Owen reversed it, locked in the sharpshooter and Christian Cage tapped. At the end of this contest, the fans were on their feet and Owen shook Cage's hand to the delight of everyone. Overall Rating: 69%
Match Two - Legion of Doom def. D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry in 8:52 The veterans got the expected win in this hard hitting tag team contest. All four men were aiming low and hitting hard. They cut no corners in this match, and the fans were loving it. After Henry mis aimed and hit D'Lo, Hawk lifted Mark Henry onto his shoulders and Animal flew off of the top rope with the Doomsday Device. Hawk just got the 3, as Henry kicked out a second too late. However, as the LOD were celebrating, Henry and D'Lo struck back, knocking both men out of the ring. All four continued their brawling out to the backstage area! Overall Rating: 59%
Segment One - Kane Crimsons The Undertaker The younger brother managed to destroy the older one in a shocking scene on Saturday night. As Undertaker came out to address the crowd, eiree organs came over the speakers and the lights dimmed. As they came back on, Kane was behind Undertaker, and started attacking him furiously. Undertaker stood there, just accepting it, as he still refuses to attack his own kind. Bearer threw a chair into the ring and Kane brought it crashing down over his brother's skull! Undertaker fell into the corner, and Kane kept attacking and attacking his brother until he was slumped against the ropes a bloody mess! Kane left the ring with the chair as officials rushed to help the Undertaker Overall Rating: 88%
Segment Two - Rocky Has Words For Triple H In the back, Rocky Miavia was seen standing with Kevin Kelly. Rocky preceded to unleash another of his verbal beatdowns on Triple H, keeping the crowd hanging on his every word. While the crowd may chant he sucks, his mic skills do not. Overall Rating: 90%
Main Event - Rocky Miavia def. Triple H in 23:14 In a slightly dissapointing match, made good by the crowd's reaction, Rocky Miavia scored a very controversial win over Triple H. Trips was certainly the fan favourite here, and the European champion fought dirty as well as Miavia. Both men brought out their big manoevers here, and the finish came as Triple H went for his pedigree. Rocky managed to give him a back body drop and quickly hook the legs, but used the ropes for leverage. The referee got the 3-count, and Triple H looked really annoyed at that. Miavia quickly left the ring with his title belt and raised his arms while Triple H stared a hole through him to finish the show Overall Rating: 68%

WWF.com Update- WWF Shotgun scored an amazing 0.5 rating for it's Graveyard slot. It has since been moved to a late evening slot, however it is still only on the local network.
- Christian Cage certainly impressed WWF officials last night. He shall stay in devlopment, but he along with other devlopment talent shall be under much closer attention from the PTB
- IYH: Armageddon is set for New Years Eve 1997. The pay per view is set to feature something never before seen in WWF before, which many feel will be a type of gimmick match to continue the Kane/Undertaker fued. Kane is seen as a star for the future by officials, and is incredibly over so look for Kane to gains some steam in the next few weeks.
- WWF is seriously interested in a number of very famous talent. Names being thrown around include Psycho Sid, Ricky Steamboat and to a lesser extent, Buff Bagwell who is coming to an end of his WCW contract. It is felt Buff could add some talent to the Euro-continental division.
- In what would be one of the stories of the year, a world known sporting start is in serious negotiations with WWF. If this person signed, the announcement would be made towards the end of the month and he may make his on-screen debut sometime before the Royal Rumble.

WWF Sunday Night HeAT 03/12/97 The Return of The Kid & A Fiery End
Segment One - Triple H Finalises The Deal As the title video ends for Sunday Night HeAT, we see Triple H on the phone backstage. He says people thought it might happen but they would never expect it. He tells the mystery man he'll see him ready tonight, and Rocky is going down for the 1-2-3 Overall Rating: 86%
Match One - WWF Light Heavyweight Title - Taka Michinoku def. Flash Funk by DQ in 10:04 This match was unbelievable, a fine example of the varied talent WWF has to offer. The match started quick, numerous reversals, with Taka getting the upper hand most of the time. Towards the end of the match, Funk started to get agitated and as Take lifted Funk up for the Michinoku Driver, Funk scored a lowblow! The crowd booed and the referee called for the bell, as Funk began to pummel Taka into the mat. The referee tried to pull him away but Funk laid him out and threw him out of the ring. Flash turned to the camera and simply said "Too Cold" before leaving the carnage in the ring Overall Rating: 75%
Match Two - The Nation of Domination def. The Legion of Doom, Ahmed Johnson & Marc Mero in 13:42 This match was impossible to keep up with, as it was simply pandemonium in the ring. Bodies were flying everywhere, it was impossible to see exactly what was going on. The finish came when Marc & Ahmed were fighting D'Lo and Mark on the outside. As Animal lifted Kama up for the Doomsday Device, Faarooq crotched Hawk on the top turnbuckle, knocked animal in the guts and hit him with the dominator! Marc tried to run in but Faarooq had already scored the 3 coutn to end this mass brawl Overall Rating: 65%
Segment Two - It Doesn't Matter For Miavia In the back, Rocky Miavia was standing by to give another of his stunning promos. Rocky said he'd prove he's the greatest in the world in that ring very shortly Overall Rating: 97%
Segment Three - Who's That? In the back, we see Sable finish talking to Marc Mero, who walks off. she looks around nervously and sees nothing. she moves away very scared as we see the shadow of a man behind her. The camera cuts to black Overall Rating: 45%
Match Three - Sean Waltman def. Rocky Miavia in 14:26 The person Triple h brought in certainly delivered tonight. It was Sean Waltman, formally known as The 123 Kid in WWF and Syxx in WCW. Sean was a fireball of energy, bringing his all to the table as Triple H was watching from ringside. However, Miavia managed to score a Rock Bottom and went for a Rock Elbow but Triple H grabbed his foot as he bounced of the ropes. Waltman nipped up, spun rocky round and hit a sit down facebuster! Sean hooked the leg, holding Triple H for leverage and got the 1-2-3! Sean and Triple H quickly scampered up the ramp as Rocky looked shocked Overall Rating: 81%
Segment Four - Challenge For Armageddon As Rocky was shocked in the ring, Triple H has a microphone at the top of the ramp. He told Rocky there was one way to know who is the best and that was to have a match at the next pay per view - In Your House: Armageddon. Triple H said that tommorow night on Raw, they have a No DQ match and whoever loses, there title will be on the line and the winner picks the match stipulation. Rocky ponders it for a minute before accepting the challenge! Overall Rating: 93%
MAIN EVENT - Ken Shamrock def. Kane to become Number 1 Contender to NWA Title in 13:12 This match was intense to say the least. The UFC veteran versus the sadistic newcomer to the WWF. Both men used their big guns in their arsenal early, Kane taking to the air a number of times. Shamrock kept working on the legs of Kane, trying to wear it down for his finisher. Shamrock went for a big belly to belly but Kane managed to break out of it. He lifted Ken up for the tombstone until Undertaker's gong hit the speakers! Kane dropped Shamrock and was waiting for his brother but before anything did happen, Shamrock grabbed Kane by the ankle and locked in the ankle lock! Kane fought it for nearly a whole minute before finally succumbing to the pain and tapping out! Shamrock will face Severn for the NWA Title! After the match, the lights went out and as Kane stood up, lightning hit the side of the stage and a burning ephoge of Kane was there! Kane tilted his head, staring at it as HeAT came to a fiery end Overall Rating: 83%

WWF.com Update- The world famous sports star has SIGNED. This legend of his field has signed a 6 month contract with the WWF, with a view to an extension. This is the biggest coup of the year, and you will see a clip of him in action tommorow night on Raw!
- In other signing news, Buff Bagwell has signed from WCW. He will make his debut just in time for Wrestlemania it is believed. In other signing news, youngsters Jamie Noble, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles and Jun Akiyama have all inked developmental deals. WWF and ECW are both interested in ultra-charismatic Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle. Angle will be given a tryout at both shows, look for Kurt in action on Shotgun this week, and an official announcement shortly afterward
- The IYH: Armageddon card is looking stacked. already we have Ken Shamrock vs. Dan Severn for the NWA title and Triple H vs. Rocky Miavia (title and stipulation to be decided tommorow night on Raw). Speaking of tommorow night, there will be 2 qualifying matches for a Number 1 Contender Battle Royal for the WWF title to be held next Monday. The final 2 qualifying matches will happen on Shotgun and HeAT.
- It may just be December, but Wrestlemania talk is already happening! The announcement for the venue will be given by the end of the year, and it is almost certain it will not be in the US. Venues such as Mexico, Canada, Britain and even Spain are being thrown around. As for the all important main event spot, it's anybody's game. Some obscure names being thrown around include Vader, Owen Hart, Jeff Jarrett and Cactus Jack
- In news from HeAT, Flash Funk's heel turn was a huge success, and he will now go by the persona of Too Cold Scorpio. WWF officials are very high up on this man, and a push is in line, that could send him title bound.

WWF Monday Night Raw 04/12/97 Knock-Out
Segment One - A New Manager, a New Client After the Raw opening ends, instead of going to the announcers we see JOEL GERTNER on the stage! The former ECW manager was stolen over the weekend in an un-announced move and he is here on Raw! Joel announces he hasn't come alone, he's found someone to manage - Christian Cage. The newcomer who impressed against Owen Hart over the weekend has been promoted very quickly, and with Joel Gertner, he's going to be moving up very quickly Overall Rating: 80%
Segment Two - Work Out This Angle In the back, Gorilla Monsoon is in his office. He announces the rumours are true, and Kurt Angle is provisionally in the WWF. Gorilla says Kurt will make his debut this Saturday night on Shotgun, and if he impresses will be given a full contract. The camera pulls back to show Kurt behind Gorilla. The crowd cheer and Angle says "It's True. It's Damn True". Overall Rating: 84%
Match One - Ken Shamrock & "The Edge" Adam Copeland def. Dan Severn & Jamie Noble in 9:14 As Dan & Ken were in the ring, both men introduced their development partners. Neither man was given a big response at the beginning, but the crowd was definately louder at the end. The match started slow, with Ken & Dan in the ring, but once Copeland & Noble went in, the pace skyrocketed upwards. Towards the end, it started to descend into a mass brawl. Noble was knocked out of the ring, and Dan knocked Shamrock out. However, Dan turned round into an Impaler DDT! Adam Copeland hooked the leg and ADAM COPELAND PINNED THE NWA CHAMPION! The crowd exploded as he scampered out of the ring. As Shamrock & Copeland celebrated, Severn put the ankle lock on Noble! Overall Rating: 59%
Match Two - New Age Outlaws go to a no contest with D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry in 6:12 The match was just starting to get going when the Legion of doom entered to cause the no contest. both teams were fighting reasonably fair, going back and forth until the LOD's music hit, and they rushed to the ring. The scene quickly turned into a 3 team brawl, and the referee called for the bell. As the scene escalated, the audience knew this wasn't going to be the end of this feud by any means Overall Rating: 70%
Segment Three - Sable Gets Catnapped In the back, Sable was on the phone, sounding quite worried. She said she'd meet them in the back, but when she got there, a car sped past and grabbed her. Sable flew into the car and it sped off again. Who took Sable?! Overall Rating: 56%
Match Three - Cactus Jack def. Chainsaw Charlie to advance to the Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal in 11:13 This match was quick, but not painless. both men are hardcore legends (and strike a noticeable resemblance to Mick Foley & Terry Funk) and good friends but it had to be put aside for this match. The match started in the ring, but quickly spread around ringside, both men using the environment to their advantage, including a moment where Charlie was choking Cactus with wiring! However, Jack started to fight back, sending Chainsaw Charlie into the steps and then into the ring. Charlie tried to fight back but Jack put him away with a double arm DDT for the one-two-three. After the match, Jack and Charlie embraced one another, yet Charlie gave Cactus Jack a mean stare afterward... Overall Rating: 73%
Match Four - Triple H def. Rocky Miavia in 25:15 This match was incredible, a Street Fight in name and in reality. These 2 men took it all over the arena, even briefly going outside the Collesium to the cold winter night! The match was constantly back and forth, with a wide array of spots, including a sick pedigree on the concrete floor, and a rock bottom through the catering table. However, this match had to end it in the ring, and it was Miavia who had the advantage coming back to ringside. Rocy went for the rock bottom but Triple H managed to elbow him away, score a low blow and a pedigree for the 1-2-3 to end this gruelling match! As a result, Triple H vs. Rocky Miavia at IYH: Armageddon will be for the Intercontinental Championship! After the match, Triple H got on the mic and told him the match would be a LADDER MATCH Overall Rating: 89%
Segment Five - Austin Has Words In the back, before the main event, Austin had a solo microphone. He preceeded to dish out some venom, telling Kane he'd kick his crispy ass all across New York state, advance to the battle royal, kick the other 3's asses and take the WWF title. Austin stared deeply into the camera as the fans in the arena went wild Overall Rating: 85%
MAIN EVENT - Steve Austin def. Kane in 29:44 to advance in the Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal It seems Austin wasn't lying about his promise, but only just. This match was incredibly long, and tired out both competitors, yet not the fans. The match was clean, went back and forth but the ending was a slight mess. The referee went down, and Paul Bearer came to the ring with the urn, looking to take out Austin but he ducked, and hit Bearer with the Stone Cold Stunner! Austin then turned around and got chokeslammed but then the Undertaker's music hit. The Phenom stepped onto the ramp and as Kane went for him, a groggy Austin dragged him back in and hit a Stunner on Kane! Austin draped an arm over and the barely-awake referee made the 3 count! Austin is advancing! Austin is advancing! Overall Rating: 86%
Segment Six - Undertaker Challenges Kane As Austin was celebrating through the crowd, Kane and Bearer got up. As they went to leave, Undertaker threw his arms down and lightning hit all four turnbuckles. The ring ropes then became engulfed in flames! The crowd were in shock as Kane started to whimper away fromt he flames. Undertaker simply commanded the following words "Armageddon. Me. You. Inferno Match" Overall Rating: 76%
Segment Seven - Knock-Out The camera switched to the back where Vince McMahon was standing in his office. He said "If you think Kurt Angle was the big world famous signing - watch this". The camera then switched to a video of blurred people fighting. Several screams from fans, and commentary calling him the greatest fighter of modern times are head as the image gets clearer and clearer. Words such as "Enforcer" and "Iron" are heard, before the image is in perfect quality. It swipes away. 3 words appear on screen.

WWF Shotgun Saturday Night 09/12/97 Heartbreaking
Segment One - Cage Issues A Challenge In the ring, Joel Gertner is standing with Christian Cage. Gertner announces Christian is just as big a stud-muffin as he is, but is more of a loaf then a muffin. Cage grabs the mic and issues an open challenge for anybody in the back to come to the ring and feel Cage's rage. The challenge is then answered by Steve Blackman! Overall Rating: 55%
Match One - Christian Cage def. Steve Blackman in 11:32 An opener that was better than expected. Cage was wiley, and sly, dodging Blackman's martial arts attacks. Eventually, Blackman started to turn the tables, nearly decapitating Cage with a number of kicks and punches. Christian was fighting valiently though, even if he is a newcomer, he has a lot of spirit. Cage began to use dirty tactics some of the way through, which switched the momentum in his favour. Cage then started to bring out his arsenal, using high flying attacks and a reverse DDT. He only scored a 2, and Blackman was back, but as he went for his finisher, Gertner pretended to pass out on the outside. The referee went to check on him and Christian the Blackman shoulder first into the ringpost. Cage hit the Unprettier and hooked the leg, and the referee turned to count the 3! Overall Rating: 65%
Match Two: Kurt Angle def. Christopher Daniels in 13:28 Kurt Angle's future in the company depended on this match, and during the match he proved he deserves a place in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Angle used a wide selection of his amateur wrestling skills, but skillfully blended it into professional skills. However, his opponent is also a very good wrestler, even before he came to the WWF. Christopher Daniels took everything Angle gave him and dished it back, gaining a large amount of respect from the fans. The ending came when Daniels surprisingly went for his finisher until Angle wiggled free and obliterated Daniels with an Olympic Slam! Angle hooked the leg for the 3 count and got a great ovation from the crowd. However, as Daniels stuck out a hand at the end of the match, Angle went forward but then left the arena jumping around waving his arms to a slightly more quiet ovation. Overall Rating: 62%
Segment Two - An Issue Resolved? In the back, the New Age Outlaws are seen getting coffee when Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown enter and start to demand a title show. However, the Legion of Doom show up and argue that they deserve a shot. Vince McMahon walks past and demands quiet. He says this Monday night on Raw, the Legion of Doom will take on Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown and the winners willf ace the New Age Outlaws for the titles whenever the challengers want. McMahon walks off and while the L.O.D look happy, the Nation do not Overall Rating: 73%
Match Three - Owen Hart def. Jeff Jarrett to advance to the Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal in 14:51 While these two may not seem automatic contenders to be in with an opportunity to get a WWF title shot but both are some of the most talented and over guys in the company. Both men have great knowledge of each other and it showed int he ring, as for the first few minutes in the match, hardly any men got in any serious offense as each move was being coutnered and countered. Jeff kept trying to take out Owen's legs for the figure 4 and Owen was doing the same so he could hit the sharpshooter, so it seemed like they were mirroring each other's moves. However, Owen started to use his aerial arsenal to weaken Jeff, so Jeff could hardly keep him still. He did manage a few high impact moves to weaken Owen, but the crowd willed him on. The finish came when Jeff had Owen locked in the figure 4, but Hart managed to turn it over and lift himself up into the sharpshooter! Jarrett had no option but to tap and Owen has the penultimate place in the battle royal! Overall Rating: 82%
MAIN EVENT: Shawn Michaels def. "Too Hot" Scott Taylor in 15:13 This match was the shock of the night, and even toppled Angle/Daniels as match of the night. some may even say it was a late contender for match of the year. 15 minutes of solid wrestling action, featuring near-falls and submission attempts, plus a good use of spots. Shawn almost took his opponent for granted, but soon turned on the A-game when Taylor had the WWF champion down for numerous 2 counts. HBK started to bring out his heavy arsenal, using flying cross body-blocks, dives over and through the ropes and a variety of springboard manoevers. Scott had Shawn down for his finishing manoever the Worm but Shawn managed to nip up at the last second and Taylor missed. As Scott got up, Shawn planted him with the sweet chin music and just got the 3 count. as the fans gave bith men a standing ovation, Cactus Jack ran to the ring and took HBK out with a double arm DDT! Cactus Jack posed with the WWF title, and with just 2 nights until the number 1 Contenders Battle Royal, everyone will be gunning for Shawn Michaels now. Shotgun come to a close with an image of Cactus Jack posing to the crowd. Overall Rating: 85%
Show Rating: 72% TV Rating: 0.29

WWF Sunday Night HeAT 12/10/97
HeAT goes Westside this week as we will be coming at you live from the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA, and under the Cali' sun it seems this show really will live up to it's name.
After Shotgun's shocking end, an amazing 6 man tag has been booked for this week's main event. WWF Champion Shawn Michaels, WWF European Champion Triple H & Sean Waltman will take on Stone Cold Steve Austin, Cactus Jack & WWF Intercontinental Champion Rocky Miavia! Friends and allies will team up for one night only, how can one main event deal with so many egos?
Also, the last qualifier for the Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal will take place as TAFKA Goldust will take on Vader. These "freaks" of the ring will have a chance to prove they can grapple with the elite as the winner will join Stone Cold, Cactus Jack & Owen Hart in the battle royal tommorow night on Raw.
Also appearing this week, Owen Hart himself. He will be facing off with Too Cold Scorpio, who after a recent attitude change has been showing a mean streak as of late. Something's gotta give, who will crack under the pressure?
And finally, two men have certainly been causing a stir lately. Kurt Angle, who has still yet to sign will be in action against Scott Taylor, who was in a fantastic match last night on Shotgun, and the other person, Christian Cage will be facing off against Taka Michinoku in a non-title match. Cage has promised to gain gold in the WWF, and a win of the Light Heavyweight champion in a non title match would certainly improve his chances.
Tune in this Sunday, 7EST on USA Network to see what will go down in Cali!
