Yesterday I come home and the day totally turned out a tragedy. I didnt see it coming at all. I didnt think I would have lost my pet by the end of the day. There was nothing that could be done. Age lead to the problems and they couldnt be detected or fixed. There was no choice but to put him down. I couldnt even handle saying it, it was just awful. But we had to do what was best for him and let him finally rest. For almost 10years he had been my pal but no longer. Its got me extremely upset and you cannot fully comprehend unless you have been in the situation before. The words I have just typed arent even a strong enough representation of how upsetting it is. I guess to many of you, its just words but thanks for letting me vent. This time is very upsetting for me. RIP my dearest...

Condolensces. Some may trivialize the loss of a pet, but they realy do become a part of your family. Been down this road many times.

I know exactly how you feel man. Just the fact of how upset you are and how you are calling him your best friend shows how much he was loved. What a lucky dog to have been loved like that. You and your family provided a wonderful loving life for him and I can tell you for a fact that he knew how much he was loved. They know it, believe me. My condolences and may your best bud rest in peace.

R.I.P.
I've lost two of my best friends over the past two years. It's brutal. Hang in there and be strong. I still carry a ball in my stomach when I think about them that makes me angry and sad, but as long as you loved him and did everything you could for him to give him a great life, you could try to take some comfort in that. It doesn't help much, I know, but it is something. I don't know what you believe in, but there are two great books you might be interested in. They are called "Cold Noses At The Pearly Gates-Parts 1 & 2". They are tough to read, but they can help. God bless.

my heart goes to you, i hate losing animals, two years ago i lost my dog that i knew all my life. she was 15 and got hit by a car, one of the saddest days of my life. one of the funny things is, when i look at my old baby bib, there is still a couple of her hairs on there. she was a great dog.

I feel really sorry for you man. I luckily have never had to have been though this(unless you count my Guinea Pig), both my dogs are still consideribly young. I can't even imagine either of them leaving.
Truely sorry for you man. Your doggie is in a better place now anyway.
