Last night's live edition of TNA Impact drew a disheartening 1.0 overall rating. TNA officials can take solice in the fact that the first-ever live Impact went up against NCAA men's basketball tournament games. The other positive is the ratings increased pretty consistently throughout the show, which has not been the norm.
The show opened with 0.92 rating, dropped to a 0.87 in Q2, but then grew to a 0.95 to round out the first hour. The second hour jumped to a 1.0, but then dropped to a 0.89 for the conclusion of the first blood match and two commercial breaks.
It rebounded as usual for the TNA Knockouts women's match, and then finally saw a show-high rating for the final segment of 1.25. For a number of weeks, TNA women's matches in the middle of the second hour had been outdrawing the men's main events. Sting's return and a star-studded main event helped TNA peak at a 1.25 to soften the blow of an otherwise below-expectations audience level.

Being live doesn't mean your ratings will sky rocket.. I was expecting the same ratings we've seen for a while know.

Seriously... What is left that TNA can blame their product not being highly rated? Like originally it was because they needed to go Primetime... They did and the ratings stayed the same. Then they needed 2 hours... They got that and the ratings stayed the same. Then it was that they needed to go live. They've now done that and the ratings are the EXACT same... When is TNA going to realize that it is their crappy booking that is keeping people from wanting to watch?

So much for the biggest impact ever. Yeah. It was the biggest iMPACT ever as far as the "live" part goes. Just becuase it's a "big" show doesn't mean your ratings are going to skyrocket out of nowhere. It's going to take more than one live event and the return of Sting to get your ratings up. It's more of fans not giving any other promotion a chance.

Im sure we have all given TNA a chance and our intelligence being insulted by this company on numerous occasions is why we and first time fans refuse to keep giving them chances and be let down...

I was the same with WWE in 2005-2007 and now they have turned around for the most part. TNA is going the other direction. They think Comedy and MMA will increase ratings, when it will actually decrease them. Just like Smackdown, I am going to read the spoilers and not even tune in because I shouldn't waste my time on watching crap

I give it a chance, and I've been enjoying it more lately, with the ROH like seriousness, but somethings need to change, before the ratings rise.

You gotta promote it more than anything. And honestly, that's something TNA doesn't have and that's Televised promotion. Where do you see iMPACT ads? SpikeTV. That's it.

I can honestly say I haven't watched any wrestling in 3 weeks, but tuned in to see Sting.

Should I be suprised? TNA is horrible at the moment which is why it's so sad to see what they have become.

I can see why the ratings were so low. The show last night was HORRIBLE. I'm not one to knock on TNA as I really enjoy their product. However last nights show was just beyond boring. Not to mention there was far to little actual wrestling. It was filled with way to many promos and backstage segments.

really, anymore, sho gives a crap. when they drop down to .002 then i'll start to worry. they'll never win the ratings was is what i've conceded too. It keeps me less stressed. I like it better than the 2o minutes total outta the 5 hours of wwe I watched this week.
