I miss KB around here. Wave 3 looks much improved-the protos look like they added the wash to them. However, since I've cut back my collection, I may only get 1st app Cap for the shield, Scott and Rachel (that new female body is a LOT better than Emma's)

Could someone be kind enough to tell me out of the X-Men classics line from the last year or so, which figures are comic accurate? Or at least pretty accurate? I've seen quite a few of these that I don't recognize from anything that I can remember. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm running off the full page ad from one of the reprint comics that came with a figure. Here's who I know, for sure: - Nightcrawler (Ultimate X-Men) - Colossus (Astonishing X-Men) - Sabretooth (Ultimate X-Men) - Archangel (aside from the wings) - Rogue (Xtreme X-Men?) - Wolverine (House Of M?) - Phoenix (pretty standard Phoenix) - Iceman (standard) - Magneto (pretty close to UXM) - Storm (white outfit)

Well, I am selling off my Marvel Legends/Toybiz/DC Direct collection. I have just about everything. If anyone here wants to buy anything I have, I figured I'd give you all first dibs before I start listing them on ebay. I only take PAYPAL.

I saw the new Spiderman 3 figures at Walmart today with a $15 price tag. NO THANKS. Even if the figures weren't 5 inches tall I wouldn't get them. Apparently Hasbro thinks I have enough to pay $10-15 per figure. They are very much mistaken. Hell, the figures didn't even look very good. Maybe they were just 'deluxe' but they still sucked. Disappointing.

I think the prediction that Hasbro would kill the line are not far off the mark, but for entirely different reasons. At every store the MLs are just sitting there, which I havent seen for an entire line since maybe series 4. The only one I see actually sell is Iron Man. I can find every other one without any trouble. I think the jack in price is really hurting the line. And if they're REALLY selling SM3 figs at $15? Yeah, they wont have to worry about quality because they'll just price the figures off the shelves.
And yeah, my Target clearanced its Spider-Man Origin figures out, too.

So I went to TRU the other day and I saw the diamond Emma variant and I *almost* bought it. I was so pissed at the regular one I sold almost all of my Toybiz legends and stopped collecting. This variant fixed most of the problems I had with the original
1. Hair is lighter 2. Face is less ugly since its see through 3. No paint smudges on the flesh
Its good, I might go back and pick it up

Yeah, they wont have to worry about quality because they'll just price the figures off the shelves. Well, only the deluxe Spiderman3 figures are $15. But both the regular and $15 ones suck. They're too small! I don't understand why Hasbro would make smaller toys when they bought a highly successful license that was making 6 inch toys! I might get the regular New Goblin, mainly because I collect the goblin-like figures. But I agree, the price hike is probably hurting the line. On one hand it's smart to raise the price by $2. Lets say 1 in 5 Marvel Legend collectors quit after the Hasbro line started. They are still making what Toybiz did. However, I see figures that are inferior looking, don't come with cool accessories, and no comic books... for more money. Obviously, Hasbro did it to compete with Mattel's DC Superheroes line that also sells for $10 each. (It should be noted though that DC Superheroes are notorious shelf warmers and they are made BETTER than Hasbro's Marvel Legends). It didn't help that in 2006 Toybiz cranked out almost every in demand Marvel character, leaving Hasbro with very little to work with in terms of popular unproduced characters, hence why there are now so many repaints. I am on the fence with Hasbro's Marvel Legends. I got all of series 1 to make their disappointing Annihulus, and I see their future BAF's of Blob and the Brood Queen to be even more disappointing. Plus, I don't want to buy a whole series that includes bad repaints. I might just limit it to the first-timers like Quicksilver, Black Knight, etc.
