I picked up She Hulk on Friday from a Walmart. Saturday I lucked upon the entire set at a Target in my hometown. I picked up Yellow Jacket and Thor (it actually had a decent paintjob!). I have to say that series 2 (or at least the figures I bought) has warmed on me a little more. Series 3 could be really good if Hasbro tries to improve the line. I just wish they would paint more and do a better job when they do. And some accessories would be nice.
What I find funny is that if Hasbro put as much detail and forethought of accessories into their current Marvel Legends as they do Star Wars, the line would rule!

Blobs are still really expensive on ebay. I could see spending $30, but not over $50 like most of the auctions. I wonder how long I will have to wait to get one at a good price. I think it may take years...

Hasbro just took a step in the right direction with their announcement of Marvel Legends series 4: Nova, Punisher (with a variant), Tigra, Blackbolt (with a variant), Astonishing X-men Beast, and yellow outfit Daredevil with a BAF of Nemesis! Obviously, Hasbro didn't provide protos of everyone. Based on the pics I have to wonder if yellow suit Daredevil is the variant. But HELL YEAH! Finally we get Nova, one of my faves and my most wanted. And the BAF of Nemesis (Age of Apocalypse Holocaust) is bad ass! And I will probably have to get the Punisher variant if he looks as cool in the finished product as he does in proto form.

This news from Figures.com SDCC07: Panel Report – Hasbro Toys has me very happy:
MARVEL LEGENDS The next two waves of Marvel Legends figures will be based on the world of the Fantastic Four and the characters from the Spider-Man films. Included in the Fantastic Four wave will be all new sculpts of Reed Richards, Invisible Woman, mid-transformation Johnny Storm, The Thing, Namor, Moleman, Silver Surfer and Dr. Doom. The build-a-figure for the series will be Ronin. The Spidey wave will include red costume Spider-Man, black costume Spider-Man, Venom, New Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin and a Brand new movie Mary Jane. The build-a-figure will be an 8" Elemental Sandman. Hasbro made it clear that no variants would be available in this wave but there was a strong possibility of a fully-flamed Human Torch exclusive in the future. Fans were excited to see the Spidey movie figures returning to the 6" scale.
Marvel Legends Series 3 was also discussed; with the Hasbro team confirmed the Series 3 variants of Hydra (with ‘yelling’ expression) and Marvel Girl with ‘Mutant Power’ deco. In addition to these variants, Hasbro also announced the inclusion of a randomly packed, chase "variant of the variant". A ‘Mutant Power’ Marvel Girl\ packed backward to show the detail on her back. This chase variant will be limited to 500 pieces worldwide and is sure to be the most sought after figure Hasbro has offered to date.
The biggest piece of Legends news was the announcement of the first Marvel Legends wave from 2008 which will include The Punisher, ‘First Appearance’ Daredevil, Nova, Astonishing X-Men Beast, Black Bolt, Tygra and a BAF Nemesis figure (that fans were also calling ‘Holocaust’). Blue Black bolt, ‘Jungle Crossbone-Camo’ Punisher and red Daredevil variants will also be included but the case pack assortments could not be confirmed during the panel. Fans will also have the ability to choose a figure for the line via a poll in the September issue of Toyfare.
Two Walmart Exclusive 2-packs featuring four brand new sculpts will also be released in October 2007. The two packs will include the all-new, Domino and Cannonball, as well as new versions of Cable and Marvel Girl (in original outfit). A Toys-R-Us Black Queen has also been approved and will be out sometime in late 2007, early 2008.
I have wanted a new Cable since ML 6 came out! Plus Cannonball and Domino is awesome!

It's funny they say the two packs will feature four brand new sculpts, when the only new body sculpt is Marvel Girl, and the heads. The body for Cable, CB, Domino are rehashes.

For some reason I haven't stopped but I started getting them repainted by a friend who does my main customs. He charges me about $10 for each repaint, that includes BAF's like Blob.

When are the 2 packs suppose to come out? I might get that Cable/Marvel Girl 2 pack. As with all the hasbro sets, I only want the BAF for blob, brood, and holocaust. The rest of the figures in the sets I don't care for. But the BAFs go for way too much on ebay, so it looks like I will have to keep waiting.
