People fail to recognize that every main eventer's move set is considerably slimmed down. They do it so the wrestlers style is recognizable to the fans, the WWE doesn't want Cena doing DDT's one week and then the next week he does a T-Bone suplex. The WWE likes there main eventers to find a style that fits them and be consistent with the relatively same move set. Most past stars had essentially a limited moveset too, The Rock, SCSA, Bret Hart (let us not forget Bret Hart is the original 5 moves of doom holder). John Cena's moveset has simply just become more exposed then these guys because it's not nearly as flashy or entertaining. I don't know about you but I could watch the Rock do the same 5 moves all night, he was just fun to watch. Cena's moveset is lacking in the impressive area, he needs to alter a few. But it's certainly not the amount of moves he knows that's his problem.

The guy is a good worker. I think it's that he's not as good as WWE makes him out to be.

I miss the time when people didn't complain so much about WWE. When I first got into WWE (in 2001), there were tons of rubbish wrestlers, but people just enjoyed it for what it was.
Now people (mostly Internet fans) just pick holes in everything about WWE; they bash majority of the wrestlers, complain about the endings to matches, bitch about a wrestlers push or lack of a push, moan at who the champions are, and make it seem like the wrestlers are undeserving of everything they get. Noboby appreciates the wrestlers, the storylines, the comedy or anything.
That's how it is with Cena. Most people have gotten over the 'I hate John Cena I want him to die' bull****, but there's still a few who are like that. I still find it disrespectful when wrestlers shout the likes of 'F*** you' to wrestlers. If they're going to be like that they should get kicked out of the arena.
Sure, people have a right to like/ dislike anything they want, but most of you internet guys take it too far. You come on a forum and complain about WWE every week, every little thing you don't like you make a big thing out of it. GET OVER IT.

Cena is basically this era's Ultimate Warrior. Meaning, he's not all that great or impressive inside the ring. I mean, he's ok, but his matches get really repetitive and so does his limited move-set.

Cena is a good Superstar, but I find him boring as a wrestler. I am sure he knows a ton of moves, but the fact he can not use them really sucks and I really can not ocnsider him a wrestler.

IMO, John Cena is not good. He's got a very good physique. He's at al that skilled. He's got a lot of dedication to the sport, but he still sucks. And everyone is entitled to their own opinion. In mine, he is horrible and needs to be down in FCW OVW or where ever they develop now and he needs to freshen up his move set. I find him stale a **** and boring as hell. If you watch Cena from his debut till around middle of 2005 into 06, Cena was very good, but they limited down his moveset very drastically to like 5 moves a match, but before that, he did a hell of a lot more. Indeed. Only good thing about him now, is that he has passion, but WWE messed his moves.

Why do we need a new "Don't bash Cena" thread every other day?

I think at this point in his career, he is awful. From the time he debuted until about late 05, he was damn good. Since then, his moveset is very, very limited, his gimmick is very, very stale, and his microphone skills have went from Grade A to just flat out embarrassing to listen to. Just about every single match he wrestles in goes exactly the same way. He goes back and forth a bit, then gets his ass handed to him. He then comes back with his sequence of moves every time, and its painful because you just KNOW it's over. His gimmick is as bland as can be. And on the microphone, his jokes are so lame, they are that of a 3rd grader. He over exaggerates everything he says and he just comes off as a complete idiot. He went from being a great talent to almost unbearable to watch at times.

I don't hate Cena, he's not by any means a great wrestler, nor is he horrendous, but he has gotten increasingly stale in every element of his performance and badly needs to find a new schtick.

I believe that John Cena is the best thing to happen to the business since the Attitude era, but I just don't think he is a good wrestler. He can entertain, and on occasion, he can put on great matches, but I just get tired of knowing exactly how every one of his matches is going to end. When I watch his matches with a friend, we'll name every move he is going to do before he does it. John Cena is great because he understands that business, and he seems like he's willing to dedicate everything for the good of it, and I believe that's why so many wrestlers praise him. He just isn't that great of a wrestler.

Uh...Cena is basically this era's Hulk Hogan. The monster babyface who always overcomes the odds by digging deep down inside for that last bit of energy to finish his opponent off. Batista is this era's Ultimate Warrior.

You guys need to realize that its not the moves you do, its what you make the moves you do mean. moves moves moves moves moves is whats wrong with wrestling today, especially indy. Cena gets a huge reaction (be it positive or negative) from doing almost NOTHING. Thats when you know are good. John Cena doesnt need to do a shooting star DDT phoenix piledriver backdrop to be a good pro wrestler. He needs to get a reaction from a crowd that will pay money to see him win or see him get his ass kicked, and he does a damn good job of it. Im going to quote DR ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ING DEATH who my friend recently had a nice chat with: "Less is more , kid." - DrgoddamnDeath Steve Williams

Batista is this era's Ultimate Warrior. Why because he shakes the ropes? Trust me Old School is right in his comparison of Cena to UW, theres way more similarities there then any other wrestler I can think of/

Off topic but it regards to the same convo my friend had with Dr Death. Steve told him this funny story. The night before he met him, Death was working some young guy and the kid said "with all due respect sir, this is what I wanna do out there." Steve said "I think you just go with what I call, itll be an easy night." The kid said, "Sir im sorry if Im coming off as rude, but i wanna call it in there, this is what i think we should do." Steve replied "whatever you say kid." They get in the ring and before they lock up, the face Dr Death offers to shake the heel kids hand. They shake, and Dr Death kicked him in the dick n plums as hard as he could, put him in a headlock and said " now you gonna listen to me?" Great story, Cena is good.

Oh wait I just saw that you called Bret Hart the original 5 moves of doom holder, there went any credibility your opinion had.
