Official Madden NFL 09 Thread

See, well that is an issue that I've had, but I've gotten better with that. Unfortunately with that damn stretch (I'm starting to sound like a broken record so this will be that last time I mention it for a while), it doesn't matter what I do the blocking just crumples the second the ball's in my hands and I'm lucky if I make it back to the line.

man my xbox scratched my madden and now it doesnt work.
Has this happened with anyone elses 360s?
In the last week its scratched my NCAA 09 and Soul Calibur 4.

I actually had no problem with the running, actually. A majority of my first downs came through Westbrook. Also, I've yet to play a game with the rain and all, but it wouldn't be realisitic if the helmets got dirty. You can't stain a helmet like you could the jerseys and tights, because it's not made out of cloth or anything that could stain. I'm really liking this game for the one game that I played. Even though I lost 48-28 to the Giants it was because I was too tired to really be playing and I made some really dumb mistakes along the way, not to mention a few interceptions that weren't entirely necessary and the fumble that I started the game with when I began running before I fully received the punt. I also managed to return the second half kick for a touchdown. Too bad there's not an Achievement for doing that. Still, I'm loving this game. The Madden IQ thing is pretty cool. I only went down a few points--I'm 550-something. I noticed that my rush offense went a lot higher than it was before I played that game and that my pass defense went down respectively as well. I didn't buy last year's Madden but I'm really glad I got this year's.

I started up the league guys. Hope it goes well. If you guys have any ideas, let me know. I'm open for suggestions.

Is anyone playing this on the Wii? If so, how is it?

The Wii is the only system I own and I'm wondering if it's worth buying Madden 09 for it.

I just finished the my first season in franchise with the Vikings. We went 9-7, but didn't make the playoffs

We had a loosing record, until I signed FA Daunte Culpepper. We then won every game. The Super Bowl came down between the 11-5 Indy Colts and the 13-3 St. Louis Rams.
Rams won it 27 to 22.

Now I'm headed into the off-season.


I am really having fun with this franchise. This year's Madden is great. Lots of fun so far.

If it was me i'd say no cowboys, pats,chargers, or colts. so everyone has a fair chance against one another,because lets say someone's a 'phins fan, in all likelyhood they're gonna lose against any of those teams regardless of skill. just seems alot more fair to disable those teams.

I'm now in my second season as the Vikings. I had a not-so-great draft, except for the fact I traded my first and second rounds picks, plus Jaymar Johnson to the New England Patriots for Randy Moss. I simmed pre-season, and in the regular season I am 0-1-1 so far. I got DESTROYED by Dallas in week one. Their D is ridiculous. Culpepper hasn't been doing good this season. So John David Booty is my starter at the moment. He isn't much better.
