Just read the Batwoman issues of 'Tec. Elegy was... interesting, Go was good, and I wasn't a fan of the Cutter arc. Williams III's art is ridiculously good. I'm kinda pumped for Batwoman #0 and then the start of her ongoing.

Just felt the need to post this cover to Superman/Batman75. Can Frank Quitely draw Superman or what?

I really wish Quitely would draw every cover for everything because all the covers I've seen him do are ing gold.

supergod 4 - just one of the most epic comics of all time, really gives that feel of realism the vast majority of comics gravely fail at. the art is amazing, and seeing how world politics and their interests affect and create different situations is ing fantastic. plus, it is one of the most well written comics i've ever read, both in dialogue and plot.

just read 'vampire pa #1' for starters, i like the artwork. very dynamic. obvious elements of both hand drawn sketches with photoshoppish changes to it. follows the protagonist of a vampire slayer, who was kind of thrown into this world and now finds himself entrenched in pittsburgh fighting off one queen vampire while having an uncertain alliance with another. not a need-to-read, by any means, but still a cool first issue and i liked a lot of the art - reminded me of mignola's work in some parts. on a side note, i've been getting into fights seemingly in every other board than this one recently.

read issues 2 & 3 of dark horse's 'devil'. such a good comic, seems to of originally been an asian comic translated over. love the art, especially the use of contrasting colors. the story is pretty damn epic, but at this point i'm wondering how they could really wrap this up in 4 (its a 4 issues series).
cap america 608 was a good read, i'm excited to see how bucky deals with this apparent crisis...i'd love to see a breakdown. also, falcon at the end being with steve in the hospital was a great little conclusion to let us know how things are going to head up. plus, baron zemo has long been a favourite villain of mine.

green lantern: emerald warriors 1 - enjoyed this. i find myself much more fascinated with the 'side' characters in the green lantern universe over hal jordan, so seeing yet another book not focusing on him is fun. really interested in seeing guy explore the unknown sectors.
secret avengers 4 - decent enough, though i think the run thus far has sort of fizzled out in a way. i'm looking forward to seeing them tackle a more grounded operation. the stuff with fury is really interesting, though, and i still love the team.
amazing spider-man 640 - same thoughts apply here that applied to the previous o.m.i.t issues. rivera draws the perfect mary jane and peter/spider-man.
brightest day 8 - really good. hawkman's segment was especially great.
invincible iron man 29 - if i didn't feel that fraction had a very solid grasp of tony's character, this series would probably bore me to tears like it seems to do everyone else i've seen talk about it on forums. it has been a long time since something really interesting happened in this book, but i still don't mind it. it better have a huge payoff, though.
shadowland 2 - i still do not like this book, sadly. something still feels very off, and it is nowhere near the quality that daredevil had been leading up to it. however, one very awesome thing in this issue. GHOST RIDER.

I'm kinda pumped for Batwoman #0 and then the start of her ongoing. J.H. Williams III is one of the most amazing comic artists I've ever seen next to Mauro Cascioli. I too cant wait for november when #0 comes out. Currently reading Hack/Slash my first maniac #1.

I read Eric Powell's mini-series spinoff 'Buzzard'. Being a big Powell fan I was a little disappointed, there was a couple of great lines of dialog and some cool creepy western watercolor backgrounds that made for some good imagery, but overall the story is pointless and uneventful.
Can't wait for 'The Goon' movie though.

chew 13 - loved the rip on pulp fiction, hilarious. as usual the comic was excellently written and very funny, mason savoy and his chu's robotic partner are always very very well portrayed. mason is such a great bad guy. love how the story's mystery is slowly unraveling, and the addition of 'fricken' is great!

captain america 609 - zemo and bucky finally square off. another great issue, i really hope this is leading toward a strong ending. each issue is getting me more and more pumped for the trial.
invincible 74 - thaedus kicking ass along with a bearded mark and nolan returning.... yeah, fun as usual.
batman 702 - wow. essential reading for morrison's run, and potentially sheds a lot of light on hurt's character. at the same time though, raises even more questions about him.
