I finally got around to picking up and reading S.H.I.E.L.D. 1-3. Really neat read and I love the inclusion of the famous historical philosphers and scientists like Galileo, Da Vinci and Newton in the story.
It's a shame the next issue doesn't come out til October because I really wanna see where they take this thing.

I'm like 4 weeks behind on comics so I read a few: Walking Dead 76 - Good issue, I liked getting some backstory on what has been happening in this community and seeing Rick starting to lose it is interesting. Batman 701 - Because I never read Batman RIP (and cant find it) I don't know fully what is going on but it was still a good story. Brightest Day 8 - After the last issue I expected more, and it didn't help that this issue had a lot of Hawkman and Hawkgirl because I'm really not a fan of either of them. Streets of Gotham 15 - This issue was weird because it was both very good and very disappointing. First the good, the cover is great, the art is really good, and the story is really good. Now the bad where the was House of Hush? I don't like when they start a arc the last issue and have a new arc started this issue, especially when this was the second feature last week and still took up most of the last issue. AMS 640 - Boring Emerald Warriors 1 - Better than I thought it was going to be and I'll be sticking with this series for a little while longer.

You should just order RIP from amazon. Really interested in your thoughts on that. You seem to really like what's going on now, so you should love that.

I knew there was one I was forgetting, I'll have to get that one too.
And I also need to get the first volume of Sweet Tooth since I can't find that either and have been wanting to read it.

Sweet Tooth is excellent. I'm waiting for Vol. 2 which is still months away.
Don't know why I'm trade waiting it... but yeah.

shadowland 3 - i was enjoying the story until punisher's entry...another story of the punisher written badly and being second to others. also, reviving bullseye? really? bad twist.

yea, it's really disappointing. shadowland has failed to captivate me like i originally thought it would. overall, the only things i've really enjoyed about it are the things i knew about it originally: 1) daredevil is turning 'heel' and being a bad mother er. 2) the cast (how it's a 'street feel', moon knight, luke cage, punisher etc) and 3) the illustration style i originally planned to collect the entire series but after such bad breakoffs (elektra, luke cage) i'm tired of it. and i also don't have a ing clue what is going on with moon knight..i mean, is he not on the avengers in this? wtf...

Trying to finish some comics DMZ Vol. 1 - Good story, I like the whole thing of a issue focusing on different groups inside the DMZ and I can't wait to read the next issue Secret Six 25 - Another good issue, this story seems to be cool, Catman continues to be a total bad ass and the line "JAWS 7, EVEN MORE REVENGE" is amazing. Captain America 609 - This arc is really, really good. Punisher Max Happy Endings - A good one shot but I wish instead of putting these one shots out that they would release the issues for the main series faster Young Avengers 3 - The only things that are keeping me from not reading this comic are the origins of the characters and the endings. Shadowland Blood on the Streets 1 -Not too good, focuses on heroes I've never really heard about before and I can't say I cared for them. The art wasn't too bad though. Shadowland 2 - Not a bad issue, I wish this would focus more on Daredevil and less on everyone else like Moon Knight and Luke Cage Shadowland 3 - HAHAHAHA, that was a joke ending right? Daredevil 509 - I like this book much more than I do the Shadowland one. Daredevil 510 - Pretty good, I like the stuff they have in here with Detective Alex and I thought the ending was good. Haunt 9 - Getting much better, I liked that Haunt went on their first mission, I liked the stuff with Cobra and Jenna at the beginning and the ending makes me want issue 10 right now. PunisherMAX 9 - What a ing good issue. Bullseye is such a good character in this and that monologue he had at the beginning was one of the greatest things ever "Thank you, Frank. Thank you for being you." This and Batman and Robin are the two comics right now where it turns into such a good day when I get the comic in my hand because I know it will be nothing less than amazing and will put every other comic that came out that week to shame.

Ok after finally reading up on some old Batman trades and finishing Final Crisis I am finally finished with the stack of comics I had too:
Secret Avengers 4 - Glad the Mars story is done, Rogers taking on the Nova Force was cool and the fight with Rogers and Rider was cool. Can't wait to see what's next for this story.
Amazing Spider-Man 641 - I felt like this was one of the better OMIT issues but I'm super glad that this story is now over.
Amazing Spider-Man 642 - Good issue and I like where this story is going, hopefully it turns out to be good.
Green Lantern 57 - Pretty good, the stuff with Larfleeze like always was amazing and the stuff with the Predator was cool.
Green Lantern Corps 51 - Not bad, Hannu coming back was cool, Cyborg Superman is a dick but I am kinda glad that this story is going to end in the next issue.
Batman 702 - Maybe I got my hopes up too high but I found this issue to be bad, the art is terrible, I didn't care for the story at all and for an issue that was "A prelude to Bruce Wayne the road home" I expected more.
Invincible Iron Man 30 - One of the better issues in this series, the stuff with Sasha Hammer was coll and I also liked the ending.
Brightest Day 9 - It was an ok issue, it didn't have a ton of stuff I cared about though but the stuff with Manhunter seems interesting and Black Manta's son being Aqualad could be cool.
Ok now onto finishing up the 4 trades I have left.

read a few different series...
stumptown. another of rucka's crime greats, this story follows a young private investigating woman who quickly finds herself over her head looking for the granddaughter of a rich monopolist. GREAT storytelling, good art, and a good finish.
jack the ripper. three part series from this year, wasn't bad but wasn't anything overly worth discussing other than that i loved how simplistic yet horrifying they made jack, in comparison to everyone else.

just read issue one of demonic by robert kirkman. this one is done by top cow and is a brand new series, loving it so far. basically about a man who is possessed by a demon that won't leave him alone until he kills people and gives their souls to it, at which point it leaves but only for a small period. some wild art in this one:
