just finished red robin 19 although i thought this issue was garbage, i'm excited to see this new arc of red robin vs. catman. i love catman haha i was a very strong supporter of this series from the start but i feel its lost some steam over the past few months. i can't even really put my finger on why exactly... but i just don't get the same excitement out of it. i think with the return of bruce red robin has almost lost some of it's purpose. i'm hoping he stays away from gotham for the most part and has more individual issues. the arc with catman coming up could be perfect to draw me back in if done properly. the 'robin away from home' dynamic is still refreshing.

read the entire bprd : hell on earth series up to the most recent issue (gods #1). great mini series that is really showing how apocalyptic the world is becoming. interesting developments with panya, devon/abe and johann.
panya seems to be up to absolutely no good.

Batman and Robin 15-20. I usually let them build up in my box at the comic shop. I'm loving this series though.

Capitan American 613 - 614: I am enjoying this current story.
Batman and Robin 20: Done with this series.
PunisherMAX 10: Good but nothing amazing, the stuff with Bullseye in this issue is really interesting.
Invincible 77: A great break in the action and what could be the end of the Viltrumite war is really interesting.
Secret Six 30: It's not a bad comic but this will probably be my last issue of this too, it just jumps around way too much for my liking. I did love Bane in the beginning of this issue though "Should I snap his spine? I'm unsure of the etiquette."
Haunt 13: Kind of a short issue but something happens to Kurt in this issue which is really interesting, can't wait for the next one.
Brightest Day 19: The only thing I liked about this issue where the few pages dealing with Brand, I don't care about Aquaman and I couldn't care less about the Aquawar.
Emerald Warriors 7: Ok, I'll probably drop this and the other Green Lantern comics soon though since I don't need to read another event (War of the Lanterns) involving the Lanterns so soon.
Flash 9: Still love everything about this comic.
The Walking Dead 81: The story is starting to get intense again which is great.
iZombie 10: Still great.
Ultimate Captain America 2: I think I may keep reading this book, I've never been big on the Ultimates line but Jason Aaron knows how to write a story.

With my tax returns this year, I decided to re-buy all of The Batman Adventures and Gotham Adventures (B:TAS comic series). I love the simple storytelling and that most of the issues are standalone stories. I just bought the first 20 issues off ebay for less than $30 shipped.
Am I crazy, or did comics used to be worth more than this? I got almost every issue for less than its original cover price.

Amazing Spider-Man 655 was absolutely fantastic. Issue of the year material. Fantastic Four 588 was also incredible, for somewhat similar reasons. I highly recommend both issues to anyone.
I'm about to read the 2nd arc of Secret Avengers now that it ended. The whole series just makes me sad so far. First we only get Nova in one arc before he's, well, you know, and then I keep reading Brubaker treats this more like Steve Rogers and friends than an Avengers team. I'm hoping the next writer can breathe life into the team dynamic.

read dark horse's cut written by mike richardson and WOW what a suspenseful horror comic it was! really defines the stereotypical 'young survivor virgin' character in the main girl, who after finding out her boyfriend has been cheating on her now finds herself enclosed in a room with another girl, both of which continously daze off to sleep...only to awake and find bite marks on their necks.
good, compelling, sexy art and a fun, legitimately creepy, story.

Hugo, I agree that 655 was really good. One of the most effective issue of Spider-Man in years - I'd rank it with the two Rhino issues and the Shed arc as far as recent greatness goes.

Green Lantern Corps 57 and Green Lantern 60 - Meh, glad I'm dropping this right before the "war of the lanterns" start, Krona seems like he could be a cool villain though.
Brightest Day 20 - Pretty good, I'm glad that the Aquawar is over. Also I really liked the 2 page spread of Mera bringing the tide in with a huge wave.
Batman 707 - Good, looking forward to the next arc.
Captain American 615 - Still enjoying this arc and I'm glad to see with the ending that this issue had it isn't over yet.
Avengers 10 - The infinity gem arc is keeping me from dropping this book, I could of done with half of the issue being Heroes for Hire #1 though.
Sweet Tooth Vol. 1 and 2 - This has become one of my new favorite comics, the writing is perfect and I can't wait to read more. For people who don't know about it, it's like The Road meets Y: The Last Man.
Uncanny X-Force 1-5 - Love this series already, the art is great, the story is excellent, the characters are wonderfully written (GIVING DEADPOOL A SERIOUS MOMENT? WHAT?)
Joe the Barbarian 8 - Such a great way to end this story.
And Cowboy, Ninja, Viking vol. 1 - It has a pretty crazy story but it was really good, I love the art and what they did with colors. Looking forward to the next book.

Been in a comic mood recently:
Sweet Tooth 12 - 19: Love this comic so much, the third book was excellent and now I'm super excited for the 4th to start
Ex Machina Issue 30 something to issue 50: Glad I finally finished this comic, it was really well written, it was a really great and different way of telling a superhero story, and it really gets crazy towards the end which was great.
Ultimate Captain America 3: Already falling in love with this comic, and this issue had such a great cliffhanger.
Brightest Day 21: Nothing says boring like an issue about Manhunter, this series needs to end already.
Captain America and The Falcon: Bad, I really can't say I care about the Falcon or his stories, hopefully I don't actually buy another one of these Captain America And... comics again.
