It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, to be honest. They gave him the best send-off possible, and it would've been fitting if he'd stayed away.

Why would Vince pay him to sit at home. Vince can't make money doing that. I see no problem using Flair on tv.

All the tears that were shed, all the emotion that night, all the respect that was shown for Flair was basically all for nothing since Flair decided to come back so soon. He shouldn't have to appear on screen to promote his DVD. His legacy in wrestling should speak volumes and do all the promoting that is ever needed by itself.

The man still has a contract with WWE, so they can do whatever the they want with him. And he isn't wrestling. He retired from WRESTLING. Yeah, well, wait a few weeks. He'll be back. I doubt it'll take that long for him to be back in there wrestling away. You can't possibly think he's actually retired from wrestling, do you?? LOL. ;D Do you honestly think Flair wants to retire from wrestling?? If you seriously believe that, then WWE has made the biggest sucker out of you. Ahahaha. Did you not hear Flair himself say that "He will NEVER retire!!" I believe that after wrestling for so long and putting so much into wrestling, that Flair would rather die in the ring than retire. I know I'm not the only one that thinks that either. And like I said in an earlier post, Lita and Trish are retired from WRESTLING, but you don't see them appearing 2 months after they retired, do you?? But Flair = Money and ratings. And, like franchise said, why would McMahon pay him to sit at home? And I like how you once again made comments about WWE like you work for the company. "Wait a few weeks".

He's not back. And even better, some of you idiots think he's around to start a feud with Jericho? How friggin' dumb can you be? Did you not pay attention during the show? He appeared because he's pissed about what Jericho did to Michaels. He's going to play a small part in the Michaels/Jericho feud (which, if you have a long enough memory, was how the feud started in the first place), and then he's going to go away again.
This isn't like Foley coming back to be in the main event of WrestleMania. It's Flair making a surprise appearance to play a bit part. And it's an appearance that actually makes sense. It wasn't completely random.

^ For all you know, I could work for WWE. How the hell would you know?? Seriously, how would you know? You wouldn't. All there is to it. You don't know me. You know absolutely NOTHING about me. And if I worked for WWE, you would have no idea if I did or not. And I DON'T work for WWE by the way. Just wanted to make that perfectly clear. I certainly wish I did, that's for sure. But that's neither here nor there. That's not the topic here. The topic here, is that old bag of wind Ric Flair who just cannot take a ing hint and friggin' leave for once in his life!! Even after he retires, he's still got to come back and get involved again. I don't get it... If WWE has to resort to giving away millions of dollars each week and rely on a 59-year old fart in Ric Flair to increase ratings and money, then that's ing sad. It's definitely a sad day in wrestling when they have to stoop that low... And why would Vince pay Flair to sit at home?? Well, aren't they doing the same with Austin?? Aren't they paying him to sit at home?? I believe they are...But I could be wrong...

He appeared because he's pissed about what Jericho did to Michaels. Exactly. And when Michaels does come back, I can definitely see him talking to Vince and begging him to re-instate Flair, seeing as he's the guy that retired Flair in the first place. It's so obvious that Flair is coming back, I have no idea how the rest of you can't see it coming a mile away. I have been watching for FAR too long to even think or believe that Flair is actually retired from wrestling. He's not done. Not even close. He will be back. They may be able to sucker you guys into believing that bull, but they won't fool me.

he probably popped up on raw because of the ratings being in the toilet.

Meh, I'll only get upset if he wrestles again. I was hoping they'd first bring him back as a special guest at Wrestlemania 25 - maybe a surprise Piper's Pit or something in celebration of 25 years of WM - but it's not a big deal.
At least it's a feud in relative of his retirement and not, like, something to do with Umaga or the Vince McMahon Variety Show.

He's taken it physical, which in my opinion crosses the line.

hes there to promote his DVD. wether directly or indirectly, hes there to promote it. its better to get his appearences done now, so he can promote it, instead of him appearing a year from now, promoting it. coming off WM24, theres no better time to get the DVD out. the longer they wait, the less people will buy it. Why should he show up on the screen to promote the DVD?? I think the 30+ years Flair has put into wrestling should speak for itself and do all the talking there. If Flair is just there to promote his DVD like you say he is, then why the hell hasn't Austin shown up once to promote his?? Or how about The Rock?? Why doesn't The Rock show up here and there to promote his DVD?? Why don't they need to promote their DVD's if Flair has to promote his?? Try explaining that one to me... thats easy. the rock and austin DVD's sell themselves. For flair, sure people will buy it, but alot more younger people i think, will buy it if flairs promoting it one way or another. even tho WM24 was just a few months ago, thats enough time to pass for younger fans to not care about this dvd. like lets take the Dusty Rhodes DVD. probably didnt sell big, like say the DX dvd which prolly was out around that time. if dusty was there to promote it, im sure it would sell better. simple enough: the dvd will sell. with flair promoting it, it will sell more. more dvd's sold, more money. and as we all know "its all about tha MON-AYYY!!!"

me i knew he would be back! Flair is just a sad and pathetic individual. He's a weak human being with no will power whatsoever. Wrestling is not an old man's game and the sooner he ing realises that the ing better, but i know he never will because he's too weak of a person. It's like he's a ing drug addict or something and he just needs another fix all the time. There's just something extremely wrong with a 60 year old man who doesn't have any balls and guts to do what he said he was going to do. I'll be honest and say right here that i've never liked Flair and all this stuff that's been going on recently just makes me dislike him all the more. Ric Flair is a sad and pathetic old man and that's the end of it.

So you're just suppose to walk away from something that you've done for 30 years just like that? I guess thats why its sooooo easy for life long smokers to just quit . He retired from WRESTLING. As long as he doesnt wrestle who cares. If you really expected to never see Flair again, especially since he's considered the greatest of all time, you're crazy. Did Tony Garea, Arn Anderson, Pat Patterson, Gerry Brisco, Dean Malenko and Jerry Lawler just all walk away and never come back? NO! Again unless he steps into the ring and wrestles again then him being retired and the entire Flair Weekend is still fine. I really expected someone with the name Mr. Old School would know better then to think one of the top 3 all time greats (who is still under contract) wouldnt appear on tv again.

Damn straight it's easy man. People work in the same jobs from when they leave school until they reire and they all walk away gracefully because they know it's the right thing to do. Flair is weak. He couldn't even stay away for more than 3 months. It says a hell of a lot about the silly old er if you ask me. He's weak and i know it, you know it and everyone else knows it.

I understand that but wrestling isnt a 9-5 Mon-Friday job. Especially for the era that Flair wrestled in. Doctors, Lawyers, and your common blue collar workers of course would walk away. Most of those people are also the ones that bitch everyday they go into work. Guys like Flair are few and far between, especially in sports. They love what they do and dont want to just walk away forever without anything to do. As far as I can recall, outside of a death, serious injury or old age that prevents them...Every wrestler has tie ins with wrestling after they retire.

I'm not going to lie. When I heard his music play, I marked out, just because I would've never expected Flair to make an appearance any time soon. They should've waited until the end of the year, at the least, until he made another appearance.

do you ever stop bitching Nope and don't try and single me out like I'm the only one complaining because I'm not. There are others who feel the same way about Flair's phony retirement as I do. Now that he's returned already, I believe it's only a matter of time before he's wrestling again...only a matter of time.
