Why should he show up on the screen to promote the DVD?? I think the 30+ years Flair has put into wrestling should speak for itself and do all the talking there. If Flair is just there to promote his DVD like you say he is, then why the hell hasn't Austin shown up once to promote his?? Or how about The Rock?? Why doesn't The Rock show up here and there to promote his DVD?? Why don't they need to promote their DVD's if Flair has to promote his?? Try explaining that one to me... thats easy. the rock and austin DVD's sell themselves. For flair, sure people will buy it, but alot more younger people i think, will buy it if flairs promoting it one way or another. even tho WM24 was just a few months ago, thats enough time to pass for younger fans to not care about this dvd. like lets take the Dusty Rhodes DVD. probably didnt sell big, like say the DX dvd which prolly was out around that time. if dusty was there to promote it, im sure it would sell better. Um, from what I recall, Dusty WAS there promoting his DVD on Raw. I remember he showed up during a backstage segment with his DVD in hand and pushed the button on the DVD box and it ended up talking and saying one of his classic phrases. If The Rock & Austin's DVD's sell themselves, then so should Flair's after being in the business longer than both of them combined. I just think it's a flimsy excuse to have him be there to promote his DVD. He shouldn't have to. So, next thing you are going to tell me is that Larry "The Axe" Hennig or another member of the Hennig family is going to have to appear on one of the shows to promote the upcoming Mr. Perfect DVD...

Austin & Rock didn't promote there's because they didn't want to, unlike Flair.
I thought you of all people Mr. Old School, would know that.

Call me crazy, but if you do retire, shouldn't you leave and stay gone?? I mean, both Lita and Trish Stratus retired and aside from appearing at the Raw XV Anniversary show, they have stayed gone. From my knowledge, they have NOT appeared once before or after that, which is good. In my mind, once you retire, you should go for good and not come back, unless it's for an Anniversary show or something special like that. I don't care if Flair is under a long-term deal with WWE. He should sit his old-ass at home and collect a fat pay-cheque and stay-put. If we are going to have to sit through ANOTHER Flair send-off, I am going to ing puke. The first time should've been more than enough.. Trish was on once after that, when they were in Toronto.

Flair was going to come back for some appearances anyways, but, it seemed too soon to bring him back on TV.

And when did it happen because I can't recall it. And I bet she didn't get involved with anyone like Flair did last night. I'm sure it was just a quick "hi & goodbye" appearance Trish did, seeing as T.O. is her hometown and everything. I just don't recall her appearing once on WWE television since she retired up until the Raw XV Anniversary show, that's all. But, if you say she did, then I guess I'll have to take your word for it.

she made a like a 30 sec appearence in a backstage skit on Raw in TO last month Oh, ok cool. Thanks for clearing that up. I have been watching Raw, but I guess I must've missed the part when she made the appearance and from the sounds of it, if you looked away or blinked or took a quick trip to the fridge to grab a beverage, you would've missed it. Oh well...I'm just glad she and Lita are staying true to the retirement stipulation and not coming back and getting involved in any way.

Christ, you have to be the angriest wrestling fan of all-time. I have never seen anything in wrestling make you happy, ever. I'm not even trying to insult you or anything. I just don't understand how you can follow something that makes you so angry. If I were that worked up, I would just quit watching before I had an aneurism. And if you love old school wrestling so much, why are you so intent to have the legends just disappear and have such disdain for them.
Don't get me wrong, I wish Ric had stayed away a little longer before he started appearing on tv again. I have been a huge Flair fan for 25 years, but I never thought he was retiring from being involved in wrestling completely. I didn't think anyone actually thought that. But I do believe he is done wrestling. That's what the celebration was for. Personally, I'd love to see Flair as a GM or a manager, because mentally, he is still one of the best. I don't want to see him wrestle again, because his body just can't go anymore. And I don't think he will.

it because he has a 3-disc best of DVD coming out in July 8th I think, and there were rumors that he'd come back for couple weeks to promote the DVD.

Christ, you have to be the angriest wrestling fan of all-time. I have never seen anything in wrestling make you happy, ever. Well, I'll tell ya right now, seeing C.M. Punk win the Money in the Bank ladder match this year made me VERY, VERY happy. I just hope when he cashes it in, it'll be worthwhile and he'll win either the World Heavyweight title or WWE championship. Anytime Santino Marella is on and is cutting a promo, I am very happy. Anytime I see a good women's wrestling match featuring divas that can actually wrestle, I am extremely happy. Anytime when I see other old-school wrestlers I grew up watching appear on WWE, I am overjoyed because it's so great to see them again after they have been gone for so long. I am NOT the angriest wrestling fan of all-time, I can assure you of that. It may appear that way by what I've said here, but is what I've said not true?? Is there no truth in what I have said in these posts?? I certainly think there is. Ric Flair is a sad old man who is hooked on wrestling and he can't go away longer than 3 months if he tried. When you retire, you are supposed to leave and not come back. Certainly not within 3 months...

CM Punk? Please. Why would you be happy he won MITB? Why does he deserve it of all people? He doesn't. Don't tell me he does. That's a lie.
Punk is sloppy, reckless, lazy, and just one big boring straight-edge botch.

Punk is sloppy, reckless, lazy, and just one big boring straight-edge botch. I am happy he won because he just happens to be my favorite wrestler currently. He deserves it just as much as the next guy, the way I look at it. You are entitled to your own take on Punk, but that's not how I see it at all. Punk is a refreshing new talent the way I see it, compared to the drivel we've been putting up with the last 3 years or so. And you know or at least should know who I am talking about.. I see him being the future of WWE wether you like it or not. I see him being the next big break-out star wether you like it or not. And trust me when I tell you, C.M. Punk will be either the next WWE Champion or World Heavyweight champion wether you like it or not. And like Vince McMahon said last night during the count-down to Raw for Canadian-only viewers, "He's already won me over" making reference to C.M. Punk. I think it's a VERY good thing when Vince McMahon mentions you by name and gives you your due and a compliment, don't you? I'll just put it this way, I certainly see C.M. Punk achieving more in the WWE than that 'roid-freak in your sig has EVER done. End of story.

Anyone who takes retirement in wrestling seriously, needs a head check. Remember when Foley lost his retirement match? he was back, like what, within a few weeks? How many times did Terry Funk retire? Flair was going to show up back on WWE TV one day, that was a given. I agree, I feel it was too soon for him to come back, but you can't expect Flair to stay off WWE TV forever

I wish he could come back to wrestling. I love watching his matches. I think he should become RAW GM when the Draft comes, but I rather have him wrestle again, just one more match. Maybe he could fight Hogan at WM 25 so I could see Flair kick that bastard's ass.

no one in pro-wrestling ever truly retires. i mean look at freddie blassie he was a part of wrestling till the day he died. and is is really that big of a deal that flair showed up.
