And I don't think I was calling you out, but here goes . . . There's only one current scan used that doesn't make sense, and that's Sandman. I admitted I wasn't a big fan, so honestly I can't see the difference right off. I honestly wish you got the Sandman you wanted. Rey Mysterio wears a mask, so I don't see what the big deal is about a new scan. Everybody else either has a new scan or one from the appropriate era, even if I don't like it. So what was your point? And, like I said, I don't think I was referring to you, pfrchaos. |

My point is that these figures cost a good amount of money and I'm not going to pay $12 plus tax and shipping for current Rey dressed up in WCW attire. I'll just stick with my BOWCW Rey since it didn't cost me that much in the first place because Jakks treated the "Best Of" set as a regular RA line.

Sandman- definitley looking forward to this one, love the pants & new shirt. hopefully he will come with a cane and not something dumb like a ring bell
Tony Atlas- awesome fig, scan looks great
The Rock- no way the final product is going to come out like that, if it does, what a waste...i dont get jakk's decisions sometimes....we JUST had 2 rock figures in the last 3 sets...why this one? at least do something different
Ron Simmons- looks awesome, cant wait for this
Dynamite Kid- awesome, great attire, scan looks good
Rey Mysterio- so they are using a current scan for a classic figure? that makes no sense, i would have rather had them use the RA1 scan....at least its older. the attire is good though
Ric Flair- awesome! i wanted gren & yellow attire for this flair. he better come with a robe....thats all im going to say
John Cena (LJN Style)- its things like this that further my case of never buying ANY LJN figures (except flair...because its flair) god that is awful...what a waste of space in the classic line
ill be buying everyone but the LJN, even though some of them are not as good. until the MOC images are out, im not going to say thumbs up or down yet, however this is kind of a weak set overall.

And, like I said, I don't think I was referring to you, pfrchaos. yeah but if we must have repaints/rereleases in CS it is nice to have new scans, even if old scans are acceptable, it's nice to see a new expression/look. just to make the figures more individual and varied. and for someone like me who likes doing fixups and customs it's nice to have a choice of headscans. also I must admit that I am worried by the amount of poor headscans we a re seeing in CS lately. they aren't terrible by any means, but they are only average. it's hard to list them off the top of my head, but a few that come to mind are Sycho Sid, CSDA Scott Hall, Michael Buffer (Rocky), Howard Finkel, Mean Gene Okerlund, they are all below Jakks usual/realscan standards. |

Especially considering I'd have to buy a whole new 03-era Rock to get the additional head to swap over. My dream Rock would be this one:  They could extend the tattoo if they wanted to (seen as they rarely make things accurate) but most of his time was spent with a shaved face. I also disagree with the torso choice in your sig, i think its much too bulky for a Rock of that era. He was much smaller and thinner when he came back. |

dissapointed in the set,hoping the rock will change somehow but i doubt it.the ric flair looks good though just needs a robe and will be perfect

I agree, but there's a difference between "I'd like to have new headscans" and "It sucks that they didn't do new headscans." I mean, really, as bad as Jakks has been lately, did anybody really think they were going to forgo re-using perfectly appropriate headscans just to give you new ones? It doesn't even register as point for complaint. Others feel differently, and that's cool. What does bother me is that the headsculpts do seem to be getting worse. Other than Kevin Sullivan, I don't feel they've really nailed anybody in a while. And I'm still pissed about Nikita. |
