8/8/08 - Atlanta, Georgia.
A brand new SmackDown opening video plays to the song of "Last Man Standing" by Hammerfall. Mick Foley and Jim Ross then welcome us to the show, and the premiere of Friday Night SmackDown on My Network TV!
The SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero is wheeled out from the back by the World Heavyweight Champion, Edge and she looks frightened. Foley and Ross remind us why Vickie is scared, and it's because of when The Undertaker kidnapped her on her wedding night. Vickie talks about how it's a new era of SmackDown tonight, and SmackDown will continue to dominate Raw and ECW. She says it was against her will to have Edge take on John Cena and The Big Show in a triple threat match tonight, and she thinks it's disgraceful, especially when Edge has a Hell In A Cell match in two days time with The Undertaker. The crowd pop and then the lights go out, and gongs are heard throughout the arena. A mysterious video plays showing a cemetery, and various "grungey" places. The video ends showing a tombstone with the worlds "R.I.P Adam "Edge" Copeland and then 1973 - 2008". We then see Vickie and Edge both looking petrified before Edge begins to look pissed off.
1) John Morrison, The Miz, Nic Nemeth and Kenny Dykstra (w/ Big Rob) defeated. Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore, Brian Kendrick and Paul London. Brian Kendrick and Paul London looked to be on the same page tonight after their mis-communication problems last week that led to Kendrick leaving without London. When it looked like London was about to win the match for his team when he hit Morrison with a 450 Splash, but Nemeth broke the pin up. London fought Nemeth off and went to hit a big dropkick but Nemeth moved out of the way and he took out Kendrick by mistake. London then turned around and walked into the Moonlight Drive from Morrison which lost his team the match. The heels celebrated on the ramp as Kendrick and London argued in the ring. Kendrick seemed to think London delibirately knocked him down. Kendrick kicked London and hit the Sliced Bread #2 before pounding away at London until Yang and Moore pulled Kendrick off him.
The camera cuts backstage where we see Mickie James walking through the hallway with her WWE Womens Championship belt. We then see Natalya with the WWE Divas Championship belt before we cut to a commercial.
2) Natalya defeated. Mickie James - Every Diva from all three brands surrounded the ring, including Natalya's SummerSlam opponent Maria who kept a close eye on Natalya. Both Natalya and Mickie are two of the best female performers under WWE contract today, and they proved that they are fantastic workers with this nice back and forth contest. Victoria, who has had an issue with Mickie James since arriving on Raw during the draft, distracted Mickie which allowed Natalya to hit a Chop Block to James before locking in the Sharpshooter to which Mickie tapped. The heels and Natalya began celebrating in the ring before Mickie and the babyfaces cleared house.
Backstage we see the lovely Eve standing alongside the current reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, Mike DiBiase and Ted DiBiase. The duo seemed awfully confident about leaving victorious tonight claiming that they are Simply Priceless. The duo then raised a couple of $100 bills up to the camera.
Mick Foley and Jim Ross hype SummerSlam which is just 9 days away!
3) Mike DiBiase and Ted DiBiase defeated. Finlay and Sheamus - Both teams here wanted to prove that they are the better team in the WWE, and a win tonight would give them bragging rights so to speak. Finlay and Sheamus are mega over with the crowd, and The DiBiase's know how to draw the crowd in and get themselves good heat. Mike looked a little green at times, but other times he looked good. Finlay hit Ted with the Celtic Cross and went for the cover, but he wasn't the legal man. While Finlay argued with the referee, Mike slid into the ring and clocked Sheamus with one of the World Tag Team titles before Ted hit the Dream Street for the win.
Brian Kendrick was shown backstage packing his bags before zipping the bag up and leaving the room. Eve then comes running up to him, asking him why he attacked Paul London earlier tonight. Kendrick told Eve that him and London were never a team. They where a one man team, as he carried London through everything. Kendrick then said that he got sick and tired of carrying him through everything and London losing them matches. Kendrick said it's time for a change and his rise to the top begins next week on SmackDown.
4) Elijah Burke, Carlito and Primo Colon defeated. D'Lo Brown, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy - In a side note, Eddie Colon's name was changed and it's now Primo Colon. Elijah Burke looked fantastic out there, and played a great heel character. There was alot of tension between The Colons and The Hardyz ahead of their SummerSlam tag team match. Burke would be the one taking the victory for his team after he caught Brown off-guard with the Elijah Express. Burke, Primo and Carlito celebrated on the ramp with Elijah motioning that he's coming for D'Lo's Intercontinental Championship.
Edge was shown pacing around Vickie Guerrero's office, looking stressed out. He tells Vickie that The Undertaker can try and play mind games all he wants, but he isn't getting to him. Edge left the office and the camera cuts to the hallway. We then see around ten security guards surround Edge and walk down the hallway with him, similar to Goldberg's entrance.
5) John Cena defeated. Edge and The Big Show - We finished the show with a decent triple threat with the World Champions of all three brands. The Big Show dominated in the early going by just tossing Cena and Edge around like rag dolls. Cena and Edge reliased that they have to work together to take Show down and they done so before Edge attacked Cena as soon as Show was taken over the top rope. Later in the match, the lights went out and a few gongs where heard throughout the arena. When the lights came back on, Edge was shown looking petrified. He quickly left the ring and grabbed his World Heavyweight Championship before leaving through the crowd. This left Show and Cena all alone and Show looked to finish Cena off with The Showstopper, but Cena fought Show off before eventually hitting a huge FU for the victory.

Creepy but cool opening there with the R.I.P. part. 8-man tag was a little clustered but it got guys on the show. Good divas match. Jord, I will be disappointed if Maryse is not brought in and given the Divas Title, lol. Like Burke picking up the W in his match, always been a fan. Ironic that your main event was Cena/Edge/Show. Like Edge bolting, and Cena getting the W over the ECW Champ makes sense. Decent show, Summerslam looks great, as do the graphics.

-Fantastic opening promo, great stuff there -Eight man tag was decent, showcased some good talent -Good Divas match, realistic to have the faces clean house -Good promo from the Dibiases, what's up with all the Champ vs. Champ matches? -You said up there that Edge/'Taker in the Cell was in two days time but SS is 9 days away... -Love that Ted & Mike went over -Kendrick heel turn ;D -Six man tag was good, I hope Elijah picks up the IC Title. I think you should've kept Primo as Eddie, it was different -WM XXV Main Event! Cena winning made sense and gives him momentum heading into SS. Didn't like that MVP didn't at least show up
Good show, glad to see this back

Sweet to see this back. The opening segment was good, nice to see some good old Undertaker mind games. Sweet eight man tag match, and I'm hoping that splitting London and Kendrick is going to lead to pushes for both men. Natayla getting the win is great, as was the DiBiase promo. Good win for the DiBiase's, your tag team division is solid at the moment, so its good to see you using it effectively. Elijah getting the win is cool, I'm hoping that you put the Intercontinental title on him soon. The main event was great, and I liked Edge bailing to the back. Cena winning was fine. Keep this going guys.

11/8/08 - Richmond, VA. Monday Night Raw comes on the air after the usual opening video and pyro display. The cameras swing around the arena, stopping at the commentator’s table where Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross welcome everybody to the show. Suddenly, the entrance music of MVP hit’s the PA System. The man who will be facing John Cena for the WWE Championship makes his way down to ring and once inside he talks about how The Great American Bash should have been his time but Batista got himself in to the match and got pinned. He goes on to say that SummerSlam is now the designated date where he will become the WWE Champion and just like he was the longest reigning United States Champion in WWE history, he will do the exact same thing with the WWE Championship. MVP goes to say something else but is interrupted by the WWE Champion, John Cena. Cena tells MVP that he is a great talker but that’s all he does. He goes on to say that if MVP really wanted to be WWE Champion he could of won it at The Great American Bash but didn’t have it in him to capture the big one. MVP gets annoyed but once again gets interrupted, this time by the Money in the Bank holder, CM Punk. Punk makes his way in to the ring and tells both men that they need to keep eyes on the back of their head because he may decide that once he kicks the head of Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam, he may just cash in this briefcase on whoever wins the WWE Championship match. CM Punk goes on to say that he knows he has a match against Cena tonight and that will be the first step of proving that he is better than everyone else. Punk ends the segment by saying “I am Straight Edge, and I am better than you.” A Summerslam video plays hyping up the main matches going in to Summerslam which include John Cena defending the WWE Championship against MVP and the sadistic Hell in a Cell match that will see Edge defend the World Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker. 1) Bryan Danielson and D'Lo Brown defeated. Lance Cade and Elijah Burke - HBK was in the corner of Danielson and Brown and Chris Jericho was in Burke and Cade's corner. HBK and Y2J got into an argument that led to HBK dropping Jericho with the SCM. Cade argued with HBK before the Danielson distracted the referee. HBK got in and hit Cade with the Sweet Chin Music and then D'Lo followed it off with a Sky High to get the win for his team. 2) Victoria defeated. Candice Michelle - Candice has been awful in the ring as of late, but she didn't look too bad out there tonight. It seems that Victoria is going back to her psychopath ways like during 2002 and 2003 as she twitched constantly and was talking to Candice as if she was Mickie James. Candice received the Widows Peak which got Victoria the three count. Afterwards, the hometown girl Mickie James hit the ring and attacked Victoria. The pair eventually got broke up and Mickie got dragged up the ramp. Victoria sat in the ring with a bloody nose, simply laughing. Todd Grisham was shown standing backstage with Rey Mysterio who got a good ovation from the crowd. Rey said that as of late he's had issues with CM Punk but he's putting Punk to the back of his mind as tonight he's going one-on-one with Montel Vontavious Porter. 3) The Samoan Fight Squad (Afa Jr. and Sonny Siaki) defeated. Cryme Tyme (Shad and JTG), The Highlanders (Robbie and Rory McAllister) and Deuce and Domino to earn a future WWE World Tag Team Championship shot - It was announced by Mike DiBiase and Ted DiBiase, who were on commentary and are the current reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, that the winning team would get a title shot against them at a later date. All four teams really took the fight to each other with the hopes of getting the shot, but Afa Jr. hit Robbie with a Samoan Drop to get the win for his team. Mike and Ted didn't seem too pleased at this and immediantly left the commentators table and stormed to the back. When we come back from the commercials we see Ted DiBiase and Mike DiBiase storming down the halls. Todd Grisham runs up to them and asks them how they feel about Afa Jr. and Sonny Siaki winning a shot at their titles. Ted tells Todd that they don't care who gets the title shot as they proved their dominance on Friday Night SmackDown's debut on MyNetworkTV by defeating the WWE Tag Team Champions, Finlay and Sheamus. Ted and Mike raised their WWE World Tag Team Championships to the camera and told Afa Jr. and Sonny Siaki to "bring it". 4) Montel Vontavious Porter defeated. Rey Mysterio - Solid action from the start in this at times fast paced match. Both men shared momentum through out until MVP countered a diving cross body by kicking Rey in the chest and slowing things down with a chicken wing like hold. The match eventually ended with Mysterio gaining momentum and hitting the 619 but failing to connect with the West Coast Pop as MVP countered it in to a power bomb, slamming Rey on the back of his neck. This was enough to give MVP the three count. Batista was shown backstage when Todd Grisham approached him. Batista put himself and his match with Kane at SummerSlam over before saying that once he's done with Kane, the WWE Championship will be his and he doesn't care if it's held by CM Punk, MVP or John Cena because he'll take them all out. 5) Kane defeated. Santino Marella - Kane was out there tonight to make a statement and he done just that six days prior to his SummerSlam match against "The Animal" Batista, who was seen watching this match several times backstage. Santino seemed to think that it was a joke out there, but he wasn't laughing when he got slammed with a huge Chokeslam from Kane for the 1, 2, 3. 6) John Cena defeated. CM Punk - Punk’s new hellish out look on the other members of the roster meant he used heel tactics such as eye rakes and holding on to the ropes during submission holds, the crowd were really getting behind Cena. The match went both ways with both men getting momentum on their sides during the match. In the end, Cena counted the Go To Sleep in too a F-U attempt which Punk countered with a few elbows to the face before Cena ducked under a spin kick before lifting Punk in the air again and dropping him with the F-U to get the three count. After the bell, MVP hit the ring as soon as Cena got the three count and cracked Cena with the WWE Championship in the back of the head. MVP then raised the WWE title as the raw logo appears as the commentator’s remind everyone to watch Summerslam this Sunday on Pay-Per-View.

I loved the opening segment, and it made clear two things - MVP had better win the title at Summerslam, and Punk needs to stay heel. Decent tag match to start, but I still struggle to see Danielson getting over in WWE, he's just not got the gimmick to do so. I'm liking the psycho Victoria. Nice to see the Samoan Fight Club going over, and hopefully they get a decent feud with the champs. Good to see MVP going over, its a good way to build his momentum ahead of the pay per view. Kane needed to go over here, but it sucks that Santino had to do the job. Sweet main event, and MVP standing tall at the end of the show rocks.

Nice opening promo to kick off WWE RAW, I like that CM Punk and Rey Mysterio also got involved in the segment with John Cena and Montel Vontavious Porter. Bryan Danielson in WWE is interesting, him and D'Lo Brown beating Lance Cade and Elijah Burke is fine, if Shawn Michaels is retired, it's good he's managing, oh wait, I like the involvement with Chris Jericho and him. Danielson and Cade would be an interesting feud with Paul London getting involved maybe. Victoria beating Candice Michelle...ah well. I like Victoria going back to this gimmick. Her and Mickie James has a nice feud. Seemed pretty much like a squash match in my opinion. Samoan Fight Squad easily getting contention. You need some better teams here. Great match with MVP beating Rey Mysterio. Kane beating Santino Marella, haha. I love CM Punk as a heel, John Cena beating him is fine however.
SummerSlam looks good, but I think Natalya and Maria should end up on the pre-show. Nine matches isn't too realistic, and that match going over the Womens Championship for being on the show is worse.

12/8/2008 - Norfolk, VA.
The usual ECW on Sci-Fi opening video plays followed by a pyro display and then Mike Adamle and Tazz welcome us to the final stop before SummerSlam!
1) Evan Bourne defeated. Charlie Haas - We kicked things off with a fantastic contest between Charlie Haas and Evan Bourne, both men who are highly underated in the Land of Extreme, especially Haas. Evan Bourne avoided Haas' top rope crossbody before dropping him with a spin kick followed up with the Shooting Star Press for the pinfall.
Jake Hager was shown in Teddy Long's office. Hager told Teddy that he wants Evan Bourne in the ring. Teddy said he has noticed the tension between the two and he thinks it'll be a top class match. Long booked the match for next week.
A graphic is shown telling us that Kid Rock will be performing the SummerSlam theme song "So Hott" live this Sunday!
2) ECW Champion, The Big Show defeated. Nunzio in a non-title match - The Big Show looked dominant out there as he just tossed Nunzio from corner to corner the entire contest. Show hit a devasting Showstopper but pulled Nunzio up at the count of two and continued to launch him around the ring. After around two minutes of bumping, Nunzio walked straight into a stiff shot that dropped him down on the canvas and the referee ruled Nunzio unable to compete, thus making Show the winner via knockout.
TUESDAY NIGHT FEVER
Jamie Noble was interviewed backstage by Lena Yada. Noble heavily put over himself about being the Cruiserweight Champion and that he doesn't plan on losing it anytime soon.
3) Kofi Kingston defeated. John Morrison (w/ The Miz) - Just 5 days prior to his big ECW Championship match against The Big Show, Kofi Kingston main evented ECW in a thrilling contest with the "Tuesday Night Delight" John Morrison, who really is someone to watch right now. Over the past few weeks, Kofi has gotten massively over with the crowd and tonight was no different. After escaping Morrison's attempted Moonlight Driver, Kofi hit a beautiful Trouble in Paradise to leave victorious and get momentum heading into SummerSlam. But you can sure as hell bet Kofi needs more than momentum to overcome The Big Show.

Raw: Like the MITB reminder, Cena/Punk tonight should be good. Fine tag match. Poor Candice, oh well. Like Siaki getting some time here. MVP winning made sense as hes in a better match than Rey. Never a fan of Santino losing, but it's obviously understandable. Cena winning was the right call, and good ending to give some heat to MVP.
ECW: Good win for Hart there. Like the fact that Hager/Swagger is coming in. Show squashing Nunzio was the obvious call. Wonder what the disco ball is for. Kofi winning was the right call to build to his title shot.
Decent shows, served their purpose as build-up shows.

- Bourne/Haas is a great way to start off the show. I hope Haas gets a huge push, eventually. - Show squash was a good way to keep him over, I guess. ‘ - If your bringing in Disco Inferno, then I think that would be interesting. - I don’t like Kofi, so him going over Morrison is something I didn’t like. I hope he doesn’t win the strap at the PPV.

15/8/08 - Norfolk, VA.
The Friday Night SmackDown! opening video plays, followed by some pyrotechnics and then Jim Ross and Mick Foley welcome us to TV that is changing Friday nights! The two hype the card which includes the scheduled WWE Divas Championship match between Natalya and Maria taking place tonight instead and Shelton Benjamin takes on Matt Hardy in singles competition!
Suddenly, the crowd pop as “I’m All Grown Up ” hits the PA System as Stephanie McMahon walks on to the entrance ramp. She says that she doesn’t want to interrupt the show for long but wants to announce that her father, Vince McMahon will be returning in two days time at Summerslam which will be his first appearance ever since the attempted murder that took place on the draft. Stephanie says that the culprit has till the end of tonight to admit what they done or she will tell the world at SummerSlam in front of her father. We then cut to a commercial.
An unknown theme hits the arena and out comes Brian Kendrickwho now has a beard, wears a leather jacket and white trunks. Kendrick swaggered down the ramp, getting a good bit of heat after his heel turn last week when he attacked his former partner Paul London after losing a tag team match on SmackDown's premiere on MyNetworkTV! Along with Kendrick is a monster of a man, who showed no emotion whatsoever as he followed Kendrick down the ramp. Kendrick gets a microphone and begins talking trash to the crowd before talking about Paul London and how he had held him down for around 2 years. Kendrick said he doesn't want to be known as just Brian Kendrick, but as The Brian Kendrick. Kendrick then said that if you've got a problem with him then you can take it up with "his man" Ezekiel Jackson. Kendrick slapped Zeke's shoulder a few times, grinning as the music of his tag team partners hit.
1) The Brian Kendrick, Nic Nemeth and Kenny Dykstra (w/ Ezekiel Jackson and Big Rob) defeated. Finlay, Sheamus and Paul London - Fantastic six person tag team match here as all six men involved are fantastic in-ring workers. Nemeth and Dykstra have meant business since their formation a couple of months back and now they've set their eyes on the current reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, Finlay and Sheamus. Finlay, Sheamus and London constantly kept an eye on the outside of the ring on Ezekiel and Big Rob and you can't blame them as they are quite easily the two biggest men on SmackDown right now. Kendrick picked the win up for his team when he hit Sheamus with what Foley dubbed The Kendrick. Afterwards, Ezekiel Jackson and Big Rob entered the ring and demolished London, Sheamus and Finlay as Kendrick, Nemeth and Dykstra laughed in the corner.
Eve Torres interviewed Maria backstage about her shot at Natalya's WWE Divas Championship. Maria seemed eager to get out there, but she didn't mention why the match was scrapped off the SummerSlam card. One would presume due to time constraints.
2) WWE Divas Champion, Natalya defeated. Maria to retain - Maria isn't the best performer, but each week she shows signs of improvement and tonight was no different as she pulled off some unique moves on Natalya. In the end Natalya over powered Maria before applying the Sharpshooter and it was all too much for Maria who tapped out.
The camera cuts backstage where we see Super Crazy, Funaki, Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang protesting about there being no Cruiserweight Championship for them to compete for on SmackDown. Vickie Guerrero appeared asking them what the comotion is all about. Super Crazy tells her in broken English before all the cruiserweights begin shouting to which Vickie yells "excuse me" repeatedly before screaming it and they all stop. Vickie says if they don't like it then they can get the hell off her roster as she isn't paying them to protest. Vickie then tells Super Crazy since he was the one to speak up to her he will be the sacrifice. Vickie books Super Crazy in a match with Umaga and if he loses then they all lose their jobs on SmackDown. Vickie laughs before Chavo wheels her off as the cruiserweights all begin talking to Crazy.
3) Mr. Kennedy defeated. Chuck Palumbo - This was a pretty random match just to get Kennedy on the card I guess. Palumbo looked strong through out but missed a big boot allowing Kennedy to hit the Mic Check for the victory. After the bell, Kennedy got on the microphone and did his Kennedy Kennedy deal after announcing that he is setting his goals for higher things.
4) Shelton Benjamin defeated. Matt Hardy - This was a fantastic match up, both men went back and forth as Primo and Carlito slandered Matt Hardy on commentary. The match eventually came to an end after Shelton countered a Twist of Fate attempt by pushing Hardy in to the ropes. Hardy leaned over the top rope because Primo left the table and tried to grab Matt’s leg but when Matt turned around, he was slammed down to the canvas with the Pay Dirt. After the bell, Jeff Hardy hit the ring with a steel chair and sent Primo and Carlito heading up the ramp.
Mick Foley and Jim Ross run down the SummerSlam card.
5) Umaga defeated. Super Crazy - Lets be completely honest, did anyone expect Super Crazy to win this? Umaga has been destroying anyone who got in his way and Super Crazy was no different. The camera cut to the back during the match where we would see Jimmy Yang, Shannon Moore and Funaki watching the match on a monitor. Crazy put of a valiant effort most likely because his and his friends jobs were on the line, but he fell victim to a devasting Samoan Spike which was enough to get Umaga the three. Umaga continued the assault afterwards until Triple H, Umaga's SummerSlam opponent hit the ring, and clotheslined Umaga over the top rope. Umaga kicked the steel steps in rage as Triple H posed on the second rope.
After the commercial we see Jimmy Yang, Shannon Moore, Funaki and Super Crazy all in Vickie Guerrero's office with Crazy holding the back of his head. Vickie shreds each of their contracts before telling them that they no longer work for her. There's a moment of silence when all of a sudden Funaki attacks Super Crazy and violently punches him. Yang pulls Funaki off of Crazy as Moore helps Crazy up while Vickie screams "excuse me" as we cut to the ring. HEEL TURN OH MAH GAWD~!
Jim Ross wonder what is up with Funaki before Foley tells him that Super Crazy lost him his job, he's quite clearly frustrated. The two laugh slightly before hyping the main event - The Undertaker vs. Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely.
6) The Undertaker defeated. La Familia (Chavo Guerrero, Bam Neely, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder) - Pretty weak finish for SmackDown this week but it got the point across heading in to SummerSlam. Edge sat at ringside with his wife, SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. ‘Taker was beaten for a lot of the match, fighting back every odd chance he got. The finish eventually arrived with Chavo attempting a cross body of the top rope only for ‘Taker to move out of the way. Chavo crashed in to Hawkins and Ryder, sending all three men to the out side of the ring. ‘Taker then tombstoned Bam Neely to pick up the victory. After the bell, Edge hit the ring with the chair he was sitting on and bounced it off The Undertaker’s head. Edge lay down on the matt, screaming in Undertaker's face before leaving the ring and heading up the ramp. Edge got to the top of the ramp before turning around and staring intently at the ring. After a few seconds of Edge grinning, The Undertaker sat up completely wiping the grin off of his Edge's face as the show ends.

WWE LEGEND CONTACTED TO APPEAR IN FUTURE; SUMMERSLAM; & MORE! (www.pwinsider.com)
- We can exclusively reveal that WWE have contacted Doink The Clown about appearing at future events. It's believed that Vince McMahon wants some Legends to appear on television programming. It will definately be interesting to see who the company bring in to appear.
- At the SmackDown/ECW tapings on Tuesday in Norfolk, Virginia a heel turn occured. Funaki turned heel by attacking Super Crazy after Crazy lost a match to Umaga with the stipulation Crazy, Funaki, Jimmy Yang and Shannon Moore would be fired from SmackDown. It's expected Funaki to become a comedy character and not anything serious.
- SummerSlam is set to take place this Sunday from Indianapolis, Indiana. The event sold out on the day tickets went on sale. The planned Divas Championship match for the show between Natalya and Maria was scrapped and took place on SmackDown due to time constraints.
