ahahhahha. I just thought of something that was random and kind of funny in my opinion. I just thought it would be funny if someone were to create a game called " Who Screwed Bret?" It would be like the game Clue but with lockerrooms and rings and stuff. ahahaha.

After hearing as many sides of the story as possible over the years, I would say Bret screwed himself. As a promoter I know the World title is the center of your promotion and anyone who potentially has the desire to throw it out, must be squashed.
That's not to say, Bret would have gone to WCW and thrown the title out, we will never know if that would have been the case. As a Bret Hart fan I certainly hope he wouldn't do a thing like that, but who knows.
Once again, me personally, as a promoter, I would have done the exact same thing Vince did, if it ever came down to it. A lot of people argue it was Vince's fault for allowing Bret the certain amount of "creative control," and that indeed was a mistake on his part. But once again, if I'm Vince McMahon I am making the exact same judgment call he did.

Vince screwed Bret. I have read so much about the Montreal Screwjob and watched Bret's Wrestling With Shadows DVD on YouTube many times. I've watched the stuff that Vince and Shawn have had to say about it too, so I haven't just watched one side.

friggin wah you baby. Youre so talented, you losing isnt going to make people lose respect for you, so no, Bret Hart screwed Bret Hart and if I were Vince I would do the same thing

Ladies & Gentlemen, we have a winner. I feel Bret screwed Bret, he was the champ, the most important title 7 he should have dropped the belt. Boohoo I don'yt want to lose in canada. Did Hogan refuse to lose in USA? British Bulldog dropped the european strap to HBK in the UK didn't he? I do think Vince could have found another solution, maybe HBK injury & replacement or make it a triple threat with a third person bret didn't hate Vince did what he to for his company, end of |

Vince,Michaels,Hebner screwed Bret in the match.
But Bret should not have been so stupid.
wCw owned Bret Hart the following night. Eric Bischoff hated Vince during this time. And Vince was supposed to believe Bischoff was going to allow Bret to show up the next night on RAW and turn over the belt.
Even if Bret wanted to give the belt up, I highly doubt Bischoff would let him.
So in the end it was Vince and Bischoff's hate for each other that screwed Bret.
