Aaaand we have new BNB repaints to buy in stores: wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestlingfigs&action=display&thread=163887&page=1WWE All Scale Series 1 consists of 3-Packs for John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker, and one figure from each set is a BNB repaint that has never-before-been officially released. They are $15.99 at TRU. Credit: WF member Ted Vivian MosbyHe also confirmed for me that Shawn and Cena are the same as the factory rejects that have appeared on eBay from Hong Kong in recent months. Meaning, these two: No word on 'Taker yet, but I suspect it could a re-release from Series 7 (with red logos). Edit: Here are pictures of the John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Undertaker sets MOC, courtesy of eBay:

Wow, that's so strange. It looks kind of like a bootleg series. The "WWE All Scale" logo especially. What happens to Toys R Us stuff that doesn't sell? Does it eventually find its way to bargain stores?

Wow, I'm pretty late to the party but I just picked up Series 9 today to get the ring. I'm looking to expand my collection, but a ton of my local San Diego stores are getting rid of nearly everything that isn't the new Mattel line. I'm DYING to get a BnB Bret, but they're becoming hard to find, and online stores I've looked at, want to charge me almost more shipping than the products cost on a domestic sale.
I have a ton of questions, hopefully they aren't too bad.
My first, I keep hearing about a Havoc ring, how it's better than the Ser. 9 BnB ring, does anyone have pics of the ring and where I can find it?
I see a lot of members selling off their sets, I'm not able to see your marketplace or whatever part of the board members can sell their stuff. I'd feel rude, pm'ing these members especially when some of their posts date back months. Could anyone tell me the permissions I'd need to see the marketplace? And, how long is too long to pm a member about selling their stuff?
Again, I'm dying to pick up a Bret, so if I'm allowed to pm, someone feel free to pm me and we can work something out. Great forum you've got here guys. Thanks for any help.

Going to try to revive a dead thread here, anyone still working on or collecting build n brawl customs?
I have found a pretty cool way to create some championship belts for your build n brawl collection using the old Toybiz line from the NWA/TNA era. By trimming a little off the bottom and altering the top I think it looks pretty close to the old version of the IC title. The X division title has been filed around the edges to make it fit better with the 3.75" line. This was my first crack at this and think they came out ok for being home made!
Anyone else out there still working on custom BnB figures?

I'm customizing some BnBs. currently working on Diesel, Dudley Boyz, and Sting.

Thanks man, I think they were well worth the time and effort. It's a shame they only put out 1 belt for this entire line.
I'm very interested to see how your Dudley Boyz come out and what pieces you will use! I have a Kevin Nash and a few Sting figures already done up, will have to take a few pics to show you.
As soon as I am able to get some more pieces together I can continue working on more figures. As soon as I get enough posts I will start to post in the classified looking for more BnB figures and parts. Good luck!

HA! I was thinking about reviving this thread in the last 72 hrs myself Roc'! I guess we stirred the creative customizing juices heh. I cant wait to get to work on some custom Build N brawl figures myself although i dont know if i'm going to stick to wrestlers exclusively . I have a few comic book inspired customs , self customs and other non wrestlers in mind (who will still be vying for one of the titles in my "fed"). Re: custom Build N Brawl figures are you sanding the BnB parts before you paint them ? Are you using sealant on the paint job? I'm looking forward to the package Going to try to revive a dead thread here, anyone still working on or collecting build n brawl customs? .... Anyone else out there still working on custom BnB figures?

Anyone else out there still working on custom BnB figures? Awesome news man, happy to know there are still a few of us out there! I've been using some of the Marvel Universe and 25th line of GI Joe's with the build N brawl line. It's always great to have options! As far as painting goes, that is not my area of expertize. I try to use a high quality paint, but should I be using a sealant or prepping/sanding the area first? Looking forward to working with your belt plates!!!

I'm looking forward to working with your belt plates as well!!!
I have a sneaky suspicion there are a *lot* of Build N Brawl fans out there but with nothing new to buy they are just silent. Someone is really missing the boat by not releasing more BnB type figues whether they be TNA, UFC, WWE or a generic line.
I've considered incorporating a few MU figures into my collection . Specifically a power house body type or 2 . Which are you using ..the Gladiator body types or the Hulk body types?
As far as painting Build N Brawl figures.....
I wanted to dye them previously to avoid paint shipping when moving the figure but everything i've come across suggest that the BnB plastic (the chest /torso plastic specifically) tends to "leak" the dye over time i.e. if you painted the neck area a caucasian flesh tone following dying the body, say, red, the red dye would leak through the flesh tone paint.
On the other hand acrylic paint seems to work well (as expected) but you have to worry about paint chipping in areas that rub (i.e. knee/elbow joints for example) thus my question about sanding and sealing.
Although the amount of time and work required increases i think that if you really want a nice looking custom that also can be "played " with without severe chipping the prep before hand is worth it. The only alternative is casting the parts you need in the appropriate color.
I wonder if using a Sharpie of the right color in the area that needs painting would be another alternative. That way the inner areas would be the right color without fear of paint chipping while actual paint would be used on the larger external surfaces.
What paint brand are you using? I use old acrylic paint that i purchased from ..probably walmart or Michaels years ago.

I use old acrylic paint that i purchased from ..probably walmart or Michaels years ago. I def agree and remain hopeful that somewhere down the road more 3.75" will be developed. I have heard some rumors about Mattel restarting this line, but as of now that's unconfirmed. As far as painting goes, acrylic paint does work well and it has been what I have using so far. It's a little pricey but I've been going to the hobby shop and using the same types they use on model trains. One area I have been stuck on is what to use to create hair add-ons. Whether it is adding on a pony tail for an RVD or removing the hair from a John Morrison or Matt Hardy figure to recreate your own look. I'm working on a Dolph Ziggler, and wondering if I should use a modeling clay and then paint it when it dries. Working on a few new customs & hope to have some pictures posted soon! Good luck!

i love this thread. im big on GI Joe wrestling customs and bnb. i was big on taking marvel u and creating wrestlings figs, but for me they were too big. now i just use regular joes. it takes lots of sanding, but they do the trick. if u guys have any big boa, raptor, road pig or zartan figs from the 80's toy run let me know, i will give u my marvel u figs. plenty iron fists absorbing man ect. any advice on taking pics of ur figs. i want to post some, but, i need to know how u guys do it. i have a account with photo bucket an i will play around with the camera monday night..
