TNA Impact (1)As usual I drive down to work, get in (early), say hey to the guys and get my gear on. I go up to Simon Diamond who I have grown quite close to, he usually tells me my matches or angles.
London: Hey Simon what’s up?
Simon: Loads of crap Paul
London: Huh? What’s the matter?
Simon: There’s news that some road agents are getting fired
London: Like who?
Simon: Well Glen (Disco Infeno) has already gone and BG (James) has taken his place.
London: What about your job?
Simon: Its early days yet Paul
He didn’t know anything about tonight so I went over to more officials to see what I was doing. As I was doing this Impact started with their usual fireworks, video and intro. Then AJ Styles walks out with the TNA World Title proudly sitting on his shoulder.
AJ: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the TNA! (Loads AJ chants from crowd) Now I stand before you as a 4 time Triple Crown Champion! I’ve been on a phenomenal high ever since Bound for Glory. Nothing could put me down.
As AJ finished Kurt Angle and Sting (no make-up) in suits walk down. Sting is also wearing sunglasses. They both grab a mike and enter the ring. Angle mockingly claps his hands.
Angle: Well done AJ, no really well done! You’ve wan TNA’s main title, now we can take it off you!
AJ: We? I’m guessing you and Mr. Suit right here?
Sting: Yes your right AJ. Kurt and I have decided to team up as an alliance, just to take over the championship…
Kurt: Then the whole of TNA. Because AJ we are the ‘TNA’s Elite’
AJ goes to talk but Kurt and Sting start to attack him. As TNA’s Elite stomp away on AJ Samoa Joe in T-Shirt runs down and scares away Kurt and Sting and stands over AJ.
Match 1: Matt Bentley defeated Jimmy Rave with a Super KickA good fast opener to Impact, Bentley looks good out there and could be a challenger to Christopher Daniels X Division Championship. Rave also looked good and continues his rock lifestyle. Bentley then stood in the corner waiting for Rave to gt up to hit him with a Super Kick for the win.
After the match Bentley is celebrating then the lights flicker on and on and a masked man is standing in the ring he and Bentley stare at each other until the lights go out and Bentley is laying on the floor with the mystery man no-were to be found. The camera cuts to Kurt Angle and Sting in Jim Cornette’s office
Jim: Ah Kurt, Sting just the men I wanted to see
Sting: I rather be known as Steve (Sting) Borden from now on Jim. I don’t need to hide behind a mask no longer out side of the ring.
Jim: Right… Anyway its about the Main Event for Turning Point. I have decided that you two Kurt Angle and Sti…Steve Borden will take on TNA World Champion AJ Styles and Kurt Angle.
Match 2: Birchill defeated Lance Hoyt with a C4In the second debut of the night Birchill destroyed Lance Hoyt with a mix of power moves (spinebuster, clothesline) and speed (dropkick, standing SSP) Birchill finished him off with the amazing finisher C4.
James Mitchell started celebrating with Birchill until on the screen Rhino appeared.
Rhino: Birchill! You and Mitchell attacked me and your not getting away with that! Once Abyss and I come back you will feel the GORE GORE GORE!
Backstage I was getting ready for an interview then the light came on the interviewer spoke.
Interviewer: I’m here backstage with Paul London who was so close to getting the X Division Title shot at bound for Glory, how does that feel?
London: Well…
Then in came Petey Williams draped in a Canadian flag.
Petey: So here I am ‘The Canadian Destroyer’ Petey…
London: What the hell are you doing dude (as I turn Petey around)
Petey: Cutting a promo, you gotta problem
London: Actually yeah Canada boy (great comeback by yours truly)
Petey: Eh don’t disrespect my beloved Canada!
London: Well…ughh (oh crapwhats my line?)
Petey: Well meet me down I the ring and I’ll show you pure Canadian Muscle
A video played hyping the main event re-match of TNA’s Tag Team Title match at Bound for Glory. The Motor City Machiene Guns will be taking on LAX tonight!
I ran off and took my t-shirt off ready for the match, Petey was already out there. So I stepped though the curtains ready for my match with my valet the lovely Christy Hemme.
Match 3: Paul London defeated Petey WilliamsSome good action here, Petey is a really good worker and now he’s back to his old heel ways. The highlight of the match was my awesome springboard dropkick and Petey’s amazing dive to the outside lung blower. Petey also hit the O Canada Nut Squash, which actually really hurt my pair of fruits (know what I mean?) Petey eventually went for a Candian Destoyer, which I reversed into a hurricanrana followed by the London Calling for the win.
Senshi was backstage ready to be interviewed
Interviewer: Welcome back I’m standing next to Senshi who was only 3 seconds away from winning the X Division title on his return. Firstly how does it feel to be back?
Senshi: …
Interviewer: Ok, well how do you feel about your former friend beating you for the X Division Title?
Senshi: …
Interviewer: Umm…
Senshi: Listen up Daniels, you and I have battled though blood, sweat and titles and now we meet up once again ready to do battle. I have arranged for Turning Point for me to face you one last time. This time for the title and with Six sides of steel surrounding us.
Match 4: Beautiful People (Mr. Kip and Angelina Love) defeated Jay Lethal and Taylor This mixed tag match was pretty fun, Lethal and Love looked the best out there and even wrestled each other for a bit before Lethal tagged to Taylor. Velvet Sky was on the outside and tried to interfere as much as she could and distracted the ref for Mr. Kip to spray hairspray in Lethal’s eyes ready for a quick kick and a pin.
After the match the Beautiful People pile Taylor the former Champion until ODB runs out and clears the ring.
ODB: I just got back from Jim Cornette’s office, he just told me that next week I can face anyone from the Beautiful People next week and if I win I get a shot at Angleina’s Championship. So I told him to make the match ODB vs. Mr. Kip!
Backstage I was shoving my normal clothes back on while Kevin Nash entered Jim office.
Jim: Hey Kev, everyone seems to be asking me for a match tonight, so whatda want?
Kevin: Actually Jim I want to be part of a match
Jim: You too! Well Kev I want to advise you first about your knees, their in pretty bad shape
Kevin: Yeah I know Jim, I don’t want to be in a match, I want to be the enforcer for the Turning Point main event
Jim:Well that’s fine by me Kev, just take it easy
Kev: Thanks Jim, I owe you one
Main Event: TNA Tag Team Titles: MCMG (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated LAX (Hermandez and Homicide)A very good match some might say as good as their PPV match. Shelley and Sabin gelled well together as always and hit a barrage of tag team moves. Homicide pulled out all the stops with a top rope Gringo Killer but Sabin was able to break the pin. Sabin and Shelley are now really over and are only getting better. MCMG’s retained their belts after a ASCS Rush.
As Sabin and Shelley raised their belts in the air they were struck down by two men from the crowd who turned out to be Beer Money (James Storm and Robert Roode) Strom bashed Shelley down with a beer bottle leaving him in a bloody mess while Roode punched away on Sabin. Beer Money then raised the titles, is this a sign of things to come or just a annoying saying?
