well maybe i used wrong wording..I dont think he sucks...I think he has a lot of potential...just in that fight..I didnt see anything that impressed me other than the punch that put Herring on his ass.
You didn't see anything that impressed you? you must have missed when Lesnar manhandled him the entire fight...as a huge lesnar fan i'll admit it wasn't the most entertaning fight but it just shows brock learned alot from his first fight he took it slow and did exactly what he needed to do to win...and the antics at the end i'd say give him a break he got his first big fight win in the UFC and he was in his home state.....
you really think he schooled him ? I have to say you are wrong..he punched him in the face and then wasnt aggresive the rest of the fight..although that spear attempt was pretty awesome after the knockdown punch lol...I just dont think he schooled him because there wasnt much action after the first round...a few takedowns and Brock basically took naps on Herring.
Heath Herring did absolutely NOTHING that entire fight. Didn't get a takedown, didn't even get a decent attempt at a submission, didn't land ANY shots of significance, and he lost the fight 30-26... That is the definition of getting schooled.
Brock did plenty on the ground. He was working Herring with fists and knees the entire time. Apparently the ref saw some activity, because he let them keep it on the ground. I've seen fighters do a lot less on the ground than Lesnar and still not get stood up by the ref.
Exactly.
Please take one of those knees to the spine and tell me he did "nothing."

I mean abolish the income tax and the IRS, and replace them with nothing.”

Please take one of those knees to your spine and tell me it's LEGAL That is a big time no no hitting on the spine. But for some reason Lesnar did it again and again and got no points taken away. I can only guess it is because the UFC didn't want a weird finish like last time. That's probably why no Herb Dean or Mazzagatti.

Agreed, but clearly, they were letting it go for some reason. Lots of borderline illegal stuff happens in the UFC. The referees are so inconsistent...
Then again, most of the knees were not to the spine, I guess -- they were moreso to the (back) ribs.

I'm just getting into UFC, mainly because of Brock but I enjoyed the PPV. Brock really fustigated Herring. Brock looked like a bear mauling somebody. I did think after the fight in his post match comments, he's a bit cocky but there's nothing wrong with it, he beat Herring and deserved to be very pleased with his nights work indeed.
I love how Lesnar wins his 2nd ever fight in the UFC, his third ever MMA fight overall, and he was "boring." Someone tell Heath Herring that fight was "boring." In fact, write a letter to him, so he can read it through his one available eye and clinch his ribs in pain while chuckling.
Lesnar delivered some huge blows in that fight. The reason everyone is so down on it, is because he didn't finish him with the RNC that he was basically being given. I was a bit dissapointed in that...but there's nothing I can do about it. Lesnar did damage on his feet (as you can see), pounced him on like a cheetah (as you saw), did damage in the clinch (2 just vicious knees) and did damage on the ground (pounding him in the ears/face and then the knee's) and people are complaining?
Why don't people complain about the fact that Heath Herring made minimal effort to even attempt ANY offense? Oh what's that? He couldn't? Maybe it's because Lesnar took SO much out of him. Herring was a lame duck that entire fight, and Brock did exactly what he was supposed to do. Brock Lesnar took the fight to Heath Herring, who has 40+ fights under him, and destroyed him. Brock manhandled a 6'4", 250lbs man like he was pre-adolescent teenager. Brock kept looking for openings the ENTIRE fight. It's not like he layed on him and sat. The entire time, he was moving him and looking for shots, which he often found on Herring's already concaved face. Lesnar just dropped a legit HW, jumped on him like a cat on a mouse and played with him for 3 rounds, and left the fight with a win and no injuries. I think that's a pretty good night for your 3rd ever fight.
I love how when Kos beat Diego Sanchez, everyone in the world claimed "Smart fighting by Kos" because he avoided him and did exactly what he needed to do to get the victory. Florian just beat Roger Huerta because he did a lot of jabs/kicks and then got out of there while Huerta went forward with the fight, and people are okay with that. Lesnar destroys Herring and takes him down countless time with ease, mangles his face, and probably broke his rib...and Lesnar "stinks."
And the after the fight antics, give me a break.
-GSP does backflips and tells Matt Hughes he's "not impressed with his performance." -Kendell Grove, who is awful, does a 30 minute ritual where he is pretending he's burrying his opponent. -BJ Penn licks BLOOD off his gloves -Kid Yamamoto continues to beat on his opponent after the fight is over, the ref is trying to step in, both corners are trying to pull him off and he's obvious out cold. -Nate Quarry makes a mockery of a full fight vs Kalib Starnes. -Rich Clementi drops his nuts on the back of Melvin Guillards head. -Rampage howls -Chuck does blo--I mean, throws his arms out screaming. -Almost EVERY fighter runs and jumps up on the side of the octagon to show their leaping ability.
Yet, Lesnar has a little fun and plays it up for his home state and he's a "punk?" Give me a break.
"PUNKS" are guys like KID and the Diaz brothers.
The whole Liddell/coke thing is a little played out.
Seriously. When you actually even have a reason to link him to drugs, then go for it. He goes into detail in his book about the Good Morning Texas interview. Dana made him fly to Vegas and take a drug test, which he passed with flying colors.

So, really, enough.
Thne explain why he acted the way he did at UFC 51. Why was he bug-eyed? And why was he hold his nose and SNORTING? And wouldnt ya kinda think that dana may have lied about Liddells drug test? I mean Liddell is Dana's Boy. I like Liddell, but a kid with chronic down syndrome could come to the conclusion that Liddell indeed has done some blow in his time.

When did he make him fly out there? How long after the interview?
A guy like Chuck Liddell could probably pass a drug test for cocaine within a couple days of having taken cocaine; just because of his physical condition.
Cocaine is not at all "rare" in MMA. Tons of guys do it. Tons.
"I can’t badmouth Chuck. He just came off a hard loss. Chuck just got out of rehab, but I do have to say it was stupid for him to come out of rehab and fight Quinton the way he fought him. He should have fought a smarter fight. Quinton’s my boy; I love you, and hold that belt forever." - Vernon White
You can keep trying to act like it isn't true, but it is.

First off fof his third fight against such an experienced fighter it was a GREAT performance. lesnar did not Lay & Pray, that was how O'Brien beat Herring. brock moved from positions, pounded the hell out of herring & tried a few arm bars. Hell he caught Herring with a wicked punch to start off & tried a flying knee, great improvements from the mir fight, looked a beast.
Acting a punk? I didn't see that, I saw lesnar who had apparently been insulted by Heath's team seeing Brock was a unworthy fighter for Herring Plus was what brock did any worse than Tito's antics where he'd pretend to bury an opponant? Or BJ licking Sherk's blood?
Bagpuss, dear Bagpuss, Old fat furry cat-puss, Wake up & look at the thing that I bring, Wake up, be bright, Be Golden & light, Bagpuss, oh hear what I sing.

Yeah...Chuck dances with the white devil...it's pretty well known.

But Chucks repeated punches with a thumb to the eye get the green light, right?
I find it funny how people always find the bad and illegal stuff in fights...but the poster boy of the UFC can do no wrong. Eyepoke to Tito, Randy Couture, Jeremy Horn, and Vernon White all go without consequence.

Don't lump me in with anyone. I don't go on any fight sites (except this) so I don't know what other people are saying. I am saying what I saw. I train in MMA and if I did what Lesnar did I would get a warning followed by point deductions. I have never once said anything about Liddell's eyepoking. Ever. And you would never hear me condone it. So don't put words in my mouth.
And before you say you weren't aiming it at me you are the one that quoted me.
I like the little celebrations and the promo like interviews after the matches my self, gives the UFC a little more character. I for one wouldn't don't want to see Rogan asking the same questions over and over again with the same boring responses from the fighters. Lesnar brings a little bit of hollywood t the sport in my opinion which isn't a bad thing
I'll just say this. If you believe that one good shot that Brock landed in the first round was all he did, Herring's face proves otherwise. Brock beat the crap out of him and dominated him for 15 straight minutes. End of story.
you're absolutely right! AND if herring hadn't flipped over backwards from that punch, brock would have been able to ground and pound sooner and end the fight in the first. heath was hurt bad from that punch, but rolling gave him the time he needed to shake it off and the space he needed to keep brock from persuing him right away. if you've seen heath fight before, you know he does unorthodox things that usually work to his favor. that flip kept him from getting KO'd. brock was very impressive, now he just needs to learn how to finish fights, because if you leave the result up to the judges against guys like gonzaga, werdum and nogueira, the losses will pile up and he will be in dana's doghouse.
He was beating the carp outta Mir. Mir got lucky and had the experience. Even Mir stated that he was happy he's already fought Lesnar and won't have to do it anytime soon. When the guy that wins says he's glad he won't have to fight the loser again, that is a sure sign he could have lost.
And yet -- not so easy to beat Heath Herring in your third fight.
but its not like Lesnar is a novice...hes HUGE as , incredibly powerful, has an awesome wrestling background, he already has all the tools to succeed so he should in almost every match he is in.....so its not like Kimbo Slice who has no background other than backyard scraps..
people are giving him too much props..hes not an amatuer.
