SCW "Six Feet Under" Full Results 3/7/2009; Osaka, JPN (Maishima Arena)
1) Brad Durden defeated Aaron Wade with "Project Mayhem" (7:39). This had the potential to be a great match, but it was kept pretty short. Wade basically beat in Durden's ass for six minutes, and then out of nowhere, Durden began making a comeback to pull off yet another win. No matter how short of time Durden's in front of the crowd, he always manages to get in massive heat. I believe Brad's five and zero now. *1/2. 2) The Red Assassins versus Speed Muscle went to a time-limit draw (20:00). When the Red Assassins have a good night, they're one of the best tag-teams in all of the world. Fortunately for the Osaka crowd, this was one of their better nights. Props go to Doi and Yoshino for selling so well, as well. Following the match, all four guys shook hands. ***. 3) CIMA defeated Jordan Devine with the "Schwein" (10:56). Nice little bout put on by two phenominal athletes. Devine hasn't been wrestling at many SCW shows, as of late. I wonder if it's because the promotion's running out ideas with him. Or maybe it's because he's being booked for some Japanese shows that I'm not aware of. Anyways, unless CIMA's scheduled to be getting a push soon, then I really don't see the point for him to be going over Devine. **3/4. 4) Naomichi Marufuji and Ryo Guilin beat Davey Richards and Rocky Romero after nailing a moonsault-legdrop combination on Romero (13:05). Another solid tag-team bout, just surpassing the Red Assassins match against Speed Muscle. Lots of striking and impressive spots went on, during this match. The crowd was really into everything that was going on. Marufuji and Guilin make an impressive duo, to say the least. ***1/4. 5) Shingo Takagi defeated BxB Hulk with the "Blood Fall" (16:21). This was a rematch from one of Dragon Gate's more recent pay-per-views, featuring BxB Hulk versus Shingo Takagi for the vacant Open the Dream Gate Championship. Originally, this was promoted to be the main event of this show, but obviously some plans changed. This match was better than their fight on pay-per-view, in my opinion. Everything just flowed really nicely, making it a very watchable match-up. ***1/2. -- Intermission break. ICHIKAWA invited a few of the younger fans to go inside the ring with him and goof around. There weren't many people who even saw this going on, as a couple-hundred people were on the s***ter. -- 6) SCW Tag-Team Championships - KENTA and Taiji Ishimori beat Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs by disqualification (17:48). Let me just say that Bockwinkel and Jacobs are really losing a lot of steam as tag-team partners. I don't know if this is a storyline or whatever, but something isn't clicking well between these two. Just when it seemed like KENTA and Ishimori were going to win the belts, Bockwinkel slid out of the ring, grabbed a chair, and whacked it across KENTA's head, forcing the disqualification. Bockwinkel and Jacobs continued the beat-down after the match, but Guilin and Marufuji ran down to make the save. ***1/4. Sixth defense. 7) Jake Furrey defeated Safu Anoa'i (w/ Dirk Sterling and Lou Glamsley) with a roll-up (11:01). Kind of lackluster match, but I wouldn't entirely blame it on either, Furey or Safu. They just simply weren't given enough time to duke it out. About half-way through the match, Bryce Remsburg ejected Sterling and Glamsley from ringside, as they were clearly trying to interfere with the bout. Just as Safu was about to nail his signature Samoan drop to pick up the win, Furrey countered it into a roll-up to get the victory. In my eyes, there isn't any doubt that Furrey's beginning to be built back up into the main event scene. **1/2. 8) SCW World Championship - Evan Pagano (w/ Mike Bison and Zangief) defeated Matt Ryland with "The Calling" to retain his title (23:19). This match seemed like it was just thrown together. However, it sort of worked out with the Osaka fans. Keep in mind that Ryland got somewhat of a huge upset victory over Nigel McGuinness, a few weeks back. Ryland kicked out of everything that Pagano threw at him. About half-way through the match, there was some tension betwen Bison and Zangief. After both guys were searching for a weapon to help out Pagano, Bison and Zangief began shoving eachother back and forth. Pagano began yelling at both guys on the outside, and wound up almost getting rolled up for a three-count. Clearly angry, Pagano quickly put away Ryland with his finisher. As the Supremacy walked down the entrance ramp, Pagano yelled at both, Zangief and Bison, for nearly costing him the SCW World Championship. MOTN. ***3/4. Fifth defense.

The first match was decent. Glad Brad picked up the win. Red Assassin getting a time limit draw is cool. Rather have that then Speed Muscle beating us. Eh, CIMA beating Jordan Devine is ok but, I would have rather picken Jordan over CIMA. Evan winning his match and retaining the title is awesome. But, I hope Matt gets the title soon. Great Show. I enjoyed it a lot.

Nick Jacobs and Mike Bockwinkel are backstage.
NJ: Dude Mike, we are supposed to win, but not act like chicken ****s in the process!
MB: Well hell, you and I both know that Japanese people go crazy in a wrestling ring!
NJ: Well you might as well have just let us get counted out!
MB: Well, guess what, I asked Wes for a match.
NJ: Against who?
MB: You.
NJ: WHAT!?
(Mike Bockwinkel storms off the set)
NJ: Hey, Mike! Wait up! I have no ride home!
(Nick runs off)

Whoo superstar spotlight FTW, cheap Retail Dragon costume not so FTW!, glad to see Brad still getting wins, he will seem like a real challenge for Daz's title, 15 mins draw hopefully a rematch, I can see why Namo was facing the tag champs last week your leading up to a Namo/champs match, hope no remourse corps get a push after Namo but by the rumors the champs may not be champs for much longer, cool your including other companies matches havn't seen any Shingo matches should check him out, maybe a 3 way for the tag titles? hopefully, Furrey getting the build up win should be good, Ryland does not win nooo! but glad it wasn't a walk over, I like Ryland, keep it up, i'll reply to next times card when the rumors are up

Awesome two shows man, sorry the late reply.
My matches were awesome, Zangief and Bison arguing is interesting. Daz in action a lot is always great, and I love Jacobs/Bockwinkel. My KENTA match seemed incredibly awesome. Can't wait for more.

SCW "Men at Work" Full Results 3/14/2009; Tokyo, JPN (Tokyo Dome)
1) Justin Robinson defeated ICHIKAWA with the "Cradle of Liberty" (5:32). Let me just start off by saying that ICHIKAWA is just as bad as Al Bundy was. He has no wrestling ability, whatsoever, but he knows how to make the crowd laugh a lot. Not to mention, Robinson deserves a much better push than the one he's getting right now. If Sims Championship Wrestling had a pre-show, then there's no doubt in my mind that this match would be on it. DUD. 2) Brad Durden defeated Assassin (w/ Red Dragon) with "Project Mayhem" (11:17). Everything was flowing really nicely, until Brad Durden began favoring his knee after Assassin hit him with a German suplex. Despite appearing to be injured, Durden continued wrestling. After nailing "Project Mayhem" on Assassin, Durden landed on his head, just as he was landing. Clearly injured from the impact, Bryce Remsburg told Durden to at least finish the match by covering Assassin. Following the bout, Durden was immediately taken away on a stretcher. Remsburg told the crowd that they'd announce Brad's injury status at intermission. Really scary moment, and it looks like Durden could potentially be in a lot of trouble. **1/4. 3) Naomichi Marufuji and Ryo Guilin beat Speed Muscle after Marufuji hit the "Pole Shift" on Doi (9:08). Some solid tag-team action here, but it was kept pretty short. Marufuji and Guilin are being looked at as one of the promotion's top teams right now. It'll be interesting to see what they can do once they finally get their title shots. ***. 4) SCW International Championship - Daz defeated Doug Williams when he made Williams tap to the "Devil's Clutch" to retain his championship (15:52). This was easily one of the better matches of the night, that's for sure. Williams made his SCW debut here, really putting up a great fight against Daz. After the match had ended, Daz extended his hand out to Williams, but he spat on it. ***1/2. Fourth defense. 5) Takeshi Morishima defeated Jordan Devine with the backdrop driver (7:14). Glorified squash match with Morishima coming across as a complete animal. After the match was over, Morishima grabbed a microphone and taunted Jake Furrey, saying that he would "kill" him next week. After Morishima was done addressing the crowd, he proceeded to give Devine another backdrop driver. I haven't heard a crowd hate someone so much in a long time. **. -- Intermission break. Derek Sabato came out to announce Brad Durden's injury status to the crowd. He tells everyone that doctors backstage have diagnosed him with a cervical fracture. More information on Durden's injury will be posted on the next SCW Newswire, which will be released later this week. -- 6) SCW Tag-Team Championships - Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs beat The Briscoe Brothers when Jacobs hit the "Jacobs Drop" on Mark to retain their titles (18:41). In my eyes, this was Jacobs and Bockwinkel's best defense to date. There were rumors going around that Bockwinkel and Jacobs are close to breaking up, but this match proved that they're still very much in-synch. After illegally kneeing Mark below the belt, Jacobs managed to hit his finisher to retain he and Bockwinkel's belts. ***3/4. Seventh defense. 7) Jake Furrey defeated Go Shiozaki with the "Show Stolen" (15:03). Pretty good match that the crowd was really into. Go and Furrey wrestled pretty traditionally, exchanging many reversals throughout the match. I think Hadley booked this match as a warm-up for Furrey against Morishima next week. When this one was over, Go and Jake shook hands, much to the crowd's approval. Perfect semi-main event. ***1/4. 8) SCW World Championship - Evan Pagano (w/ Mike Bison and Zangief) defeated KENTA (w/ Taiji Ishimori) with "The Calling" to retain his belt (22:19). Aside from Morishima, I don't think there's a better heel than Pagano in SCW right now. KENTA favored his back throughout the match, which was supposed to be acting up on him, due to Bockwinkel and Jacobs' assault on him, the previous show. Just when KENTA had Pagano on his shoulders for the "Go 2 Sleep", his back went out on him, giving Pagano the perfect oppurtunity to hit "The Calling" for a three-count. MOTN. ****. Sixth defense.

Good show again, don't like the jobbingcomedy character, Durden gets another win but injured? OH NO!, still building up Namo against the champs hope they win someone needs to I think the champs are getting boring, I like Daz glad he's getting all these wins but someone taking it off him then him winning back would be good I was hoping Durden wouls do it, Moshima/Furrey should be awsome, would like a proper feud not just a qucik one though, Furrey over Go confusing as you were pushing both guys, Evan retains the belt yay I knew Kenta wasn't gonna win, good luck

Opener sounds like a horrible match. Hope ICHIKAWA isnt seen to often. Wow Durden got messed up in that match. First his leg and then he landed on his head. Too bad his injured but look forward to see what happens with him gone. Naomichi Marufuji and Ryo Guilin seem like a good tag team and I hope they win the Tag Titles soon. Sounds like a good quick match to keep Marufuji and Guilin strong. Love Doug Williams in your promotion and I hope he does well. Daz retaining is good and I like the spitting on the hand. Look forward to see them face again in the future. Morishima sounds like he is going to really Furrey up. Be interesting to see who walks out winner. Tag Title match sounds good. Hope Briscoes can come back from the loss. Bockwinkel & Jacobs retaining is good and I hope they face Naomichi Marufuji and Ryo Guilin soon. Good little warm up for Furrey. Should be a good match when he faces Morishima. Main Event sounded good and glad Pagano retained the title. I could see Pagano losing the title to Furrey when he faces him if Furrey defeats Morishima that is. Good show look forward to more. Are sign ups still open for this?

Yet another great show from you, Kametsou. The opening match was horrible, like always, but I'm really loving ICHIKAWA's comedy act, keep it up. The Marufuji/Guilin versus SpeedMuscle sounded like a decent match up, could have been better though. Wow, the International Championship match was awesome, it could have gone either way, but you chose the right person to go over. Great way for Williams to show off his heelness at the end, lol. Morishima and Devine was what I expected, a squash. The tag title match was insane, one of my favorites of the night. I liked the cheating ending, good way to build some heel heat. The Furrey/Shiozaki match was ok, but in my eyes, it could have been way better. Glad they showed respect to each other after the match, though. Jesus Christ, the main event stole the show, without a doubt. It could have gone either way, but I was hoping for KENTA to pick up the win and the belt. Oh well, still a good show. My only complaint, more Safu! He went from main eventer, to being on two shows, it's horrible. Just please, give him a push, and this diary will be better. Keep it up!

SCW Newswire #3: March 17th, 2009
- At the moment, Brad Durden's future career with Sims Championship Wrestling is looking pretty dim. Durden was diagnosed with a severe cervical fracture after landing on his head in a match against Assassin at "Men at Work", and is expected to be out of action for twelve months, at the earliest. SCW owner, Wes Hadley, has a big decision to make this upcoming weekend, as he will announce if he will keep Durden on the roster, or release him from the promotion for good. One big question that keeps arising is if Durden will be able to perform just as well as he was before, upon returning from his injury. - Former Sims Fantasy Federation World Champion, Jason Star, has reportedly signed a long-term contract with Sims Championship Wrestling. Star is expected to begin wrestling immediately, acting as a replacement in Brad Durden's remaining booked shows. One of the major matches that Star has replaced Durden in is the Kagoshima show, in which he will challenge Daz for the SCW International Championship. According to SCW management, Star is expected to begin working as a tweener. - Susumu Yokosuka, who is a former Open the Dream Gate Champion for Dragon Gate, has agreed to begin working for Sims Championship Wrestling, as soon as they need him to. Back in February, Yokosuka was disappointed that he was not on the original list of Dragon Gate stars to be making the roster for Sims Championship Wrestling. Now, Yokosuka will finally get the chance to leave his mark on Sims Championship Wrestling. - According to the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sims Championship Wrestling will be making a mini-tour (approximately two shows/weeks) to the Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo, beginning on the eighteenth of April. Apparently, it's just going to be a matter of time before the official SCW website confirms this mini-tour, as well.

Your write-ups are really top notch stuff man, I like the outside talent on the shows & how their being used, I don't know why but I lol'd when Morishima was taunting Furrey again I don't know why. Anyway glad my guy is getting pushed like crazy and the match with Morishima should be good stuff. Pagano winning was nice but hopefully he's just keeping the title warm for me baby. Great stuff man.
