I've seen the show. When he was on The Ultimate Fighter 6 in 2007, he'd cry in a confessional in every other episode and even complained that his coach "Wasn't giving him attention." He didn't win the show, but the UFC still ended up signing him and he cried during his post-fight interview because "I wish there didn't have to be a loser." You try and train every minute of every day for 3-4 months and have to fight a guy that you are friends with to achieve your lifelong dream. And have it all happen for you. And look over and see one of your friends dejected because he feels like a loser who will never get his shot. And you tell me when all those things are happening you wouldn't cry? I know I would. sorry but a real man doesn't cry

Okay enough with arguments, what does a man crying have to do with MMA?

"Real men" who don't cry probably end up internalizing everything, and instead of crying they blow a gasket and act out with violence. Or they develop ulcers. Note to dudes: express your damn feelings. If you're sad, go ahead and feel sad. Don't internalize everything and end up with so much emotional baggage that you snap and hurt somebody, or yourself. Seriously, nyah. Don't pull that "real men don't cry" ****. It's just trash. What this has to do with MMA I don't really know, but I felt I'd make my opinion on that ridiculous "real men don't cry" notion known.

A real man doesn't cry, for the same reason a real woman stays at home and tends to the kids? I think we've defined that their is no definite role for a man or a woman. We're all humans, we bleed the same, we feel the same, we just are different because that is what brings us together in how opposites attract. In other words, a man can and will cry, just is more self-conscious about when doing so.

BJ Penn cried once, therefore, you're wrong. Exactly. And his reason for crying was very valid, saomeone stole his Donuts.

Am I the only one that often compares BJ Penn to Turtle, from Entourage a little? Everytime I hear about BJ Penn being a huge stoner, I picture Turtle and put BJ Penn in his place on that show.

Chuck Norris, coincidentally, lives in a round house.
(Sorry, I know they're old, but Chuck Norris facts still crack me up.)

But after you hear him talk...he could basically...well...still be a cabbage patch kid.

This pissed me off, so I requested him on Myspace just to send him a comment. I know he has to approve it, so it won't make it on his page, but he or whoever handles it for him will. Here is what I put. I know this probably won't make it on your page, because you have to approve it, but I didn't know how else to voice my opinion. You got a name change because you've been called 'War Machine' for 6 years? Good for you. I take offense to calling wrestlers "gay" and saying it's "homosexual ass" shit. Why does it have to be that way. I think getting your name legally changed to "War Machine" is intellectually- disabled. I mean, have you even won a fight? I remember you getting your ass kicked on the show. Good riddance, man. You could've been cool about it, but you have to use the age old knock on wrestlers, calling them "gay". You.

Yeah...that might be the worst response ever. Instead of "standing up" and proving a point, you sounded like a complete joke.

And how would that be? Because I used strong language? You know what, this guy. He has no right to call wrestlers "gay" and saying stupid craplike that. The fact that I sought this guy out, requested his stupid ass as a friend only to put that in his comments, was standing up. I don't know where you're coming from, but that's fine, I expected someone to come in here with the whole "Oh that was really big of you" BS.

Doesn't matter, whether I "showed him" or not, I still made my voice heard. A real fan won't stand idly by while someone talks like that. This guy is saying stuff like this when he went and legally had his name changed to "War Machine". Boy, how intelligent. On top of that, he's not even that good and will have his UFC contract terminated after he loses a couple more fights, because he's not gonna win. So then he can go get a job at a place like Subway (because you know he has no other skills) and his name tag can say War...... brilliant. Boy he really showed the wrestling world!

Here we go again with the "real fan" crap. No fan has the right to tell other fans they aren't "real." End of story.

You didn't make your voice heard at all. You sounded like a wrestling fan boy that thinks it's "real" and were seriously offended about what he said, like it effects you. And how is he "not that good?" The jury is still out on that. He's had 2 fights in the UFC, and both were pretty exciting. As long as he's going to war (no pun intended) and putting on fights that Silva/Dana like to see, he'll have a job and be put on Fight Night Live's, at the very least. Koppenhaver is a guy that will face anyone at any time. Dana could call him a week before a fight after someone's dropped out, and I'm sure War Machine would take the fight in a heart-beat. The fact that you're upset over War saying things about negative things about wrestlers, and then turning around and doing the same about him (when you obviously know nothing about him, or MMA for that matter) pretty much makes you a hypocrite.
