I seen this on Prowrestlingscoops the other day, don't know how many rounds it has made but if anyone has the fighter's myspace, I'm sure they can confirm validity.

UFC fighter Jon Koppenhaver has legally changed his name to "War Machine." Koppenhaver appeared on The Ultimate Fighter and wrote on his MySpace blog about how made he was that UFC wouldn't call him "War Machine" in his last fight because TNA threatened a lawsuit having trademarked the name in sports entertainment for Rhino. He said he has used the name for six years and even has it tattooed on his body. Koppenhaver had the following to say in response: "Turns out some gay ass wrestling federation threatened to sue them because they recently named one of their wrestlers The War Machine Rhino and trademarked the name. If you know my personality than you know damn well I am not gonna let some homosexual ass fake wrestler steal my name."

I can see why he'd be upset, but his choice of words sure does make him sound like a very unlikeable, and unintelligent, person.
In any case, I couldn't imagine changing my name at all, let alone to something like that. Although admittedly I can't deny that the kid in me finds the concept to be badass.

Sadly this is the mentallity most Mixed Martial Artists have towards 'fake' pro wrestling. The only UFC fighter that can actually have the correct mentality about it is Brock Lesnar, & Kurt Angle if he ever makes the MMA transition. |

And Barnett, and Cro Cop and Trigg and Tito and McCully and Marcus Davis and etc, etc, etc. A lot of MMA fighters also take money from pro wrestling and a lot of MMA fighters are actually good friends and TRAIN with pro wrestlers.

That's how War is. He says alot of messed up shit. And really doesn't care what people think about him. He has been like that as long as I've known him (which is about 5 years) and if you think the stuff he writes on his myspace is out of control. Try hanging out with him for a night. He has such distaste for a majority of society.

That's funny... I thought KISS released "War Machine" on Creatures of the Night in 1982. What is this guy going to do about it? So I am pretty sure he found his way out of living with the "frat boy p****s". And I will be willing to bet money any of those "p****s" could woop up on you anyday.
