Would kill for Magnum and Nikita to go with my Garvin, Horseman, Dr Death I'd love a Garvin and Dr. Death as well. Speaking of, I'd love a Varsity Club with Kevin Sullivan. God I miss 80's wrestling.

I honestly never saw what the big deal with this guy was. He was alright, I guess. I hope they make him for all who want it but I'll pass. For me he represents a lot of childhood nostalgia. When WCW was the NWA and Hogan, Flair, The VonErich's, and Martel were the champs of their promotions. By today's standards, he doesn't seem like much, but back in the day they hyped him up pretty good before the car accident ended his career. Having him and hopefully one day a Nikita Koloff in my collection would be great.

I understand that the two are unrelated. But, I thought it was interesting that WWE posted this on Instagram today. I don't remember ever seeing WWE mention him on social media before. Made me wonder if the rumors of Magnum TA in E45 might be true. Personally, I hope he's announced at SDCC.

This is great. What a nice set up. This is the era I grew up on and seeing the simplicity of this display makes me smile. Kudos to you on sticking to one iconic version of each wrestler too. I couldn't do it and ended up getting different Warriors and Savages. But it looks great having just one of each of them.
Don't let the display fool you. I also have many varieties of Savage and Warriors. They are just not in the picture
You give me hope.

I'll always love reading things like this. Congrats on meeting some legends. Steamboat is my all time favorite and a class act. Had a chance to meet him myself and he was gracious and kind.

Interesting to see that Mattel used to paint lips with some earlier figures. The blue Perfect has his lips painted. It's a very minor difference but a nice touch.

Hi there I was in a similar situation not too long ago looking for the best stands for these figures. I too am limited in display space and I found the normal mattel stands were too wide and took up lots of space (like you couldn't get a tag team to stand next to each other). I also didn't like that there were no clear stands because I like my display to feel "airy" and let the light through. Then I discovered Star Warz display stands for vintage 3 3/4" Star Wars figures! About an inch in diameter and the peg fits perfectly. You would need two stands per figure, so you're looking at getting 500 of these little stands, but they make a world of difference to me: I can fit more figures together on each row, position their legs pretty much how I want, and they are clear so ample light can pass through. I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with these stands, taking a quick glance at my collection I hardly even notice them - and they work perfectly for stability of the figures. Picked them up on eBay, bags of 20, 50 and 100 - just remember you need two for each figure. Oh man, I love this idea. You really have me thinking about selling off my WWE Display stands and using that money to grab enough of these.

Wow, I had no idea this change was made since I only display my figures. But I love it. And congrats to you for a great suggestion and good for Mattel if it was your idea they listened to.

I had no idea people are that into Savio. I would have thought there'd be more interest in Muraco or OMG.

Great topic. I'm shocked we got a Barry Windham. I'm glad we got him, but surprised to see him before some others. Shocked we haven't gotten a Greg "The Hammer" Valentine or Brutus Beefcake yet. Or The Powers of Pain. I would think that the look of the Warlord and Barbarian would be an easy sell.

Yep. Just added some gray to the top and sides. I decided the leave part of it blue. I may take off the gems on the front and replace them with something that has a lower profile. But for now, it works. I'm not actually sure what color the hat is supposed to be. The front is definitely blue with sparkles and whatnot, but the back looks like it's the same I had a tough time figuring it out too. From what I could tell from pausing his entrance, it looks like it's gray on top and some sides, but sparkly in the front.

So, if you go to Michael's to get them, they're just called 'bling stickers?' Yes. They come in a long sheet with three strips of bling stickers. Here's the brand:

That's so awesome. Did you repaint the hat? Yep. Just added some gray to the top and sides. I decided the leave part of it blue. I may take off the gems on the front and replace them with something that has a lower profile. But for now, it works.

BE CAREFUL! I researched how to remove paint and , both here and youtube brought me to using actual nail polish to remove paint. I have "Sally Hansen No Chip acrylic top coat" its clear, it wasn't recommended just what I had at hand, and it seems good, it has a brush, I just put a little on the paint I want off, make sure the nail polish on the brush is thin, do a little as possible , let it sit there for a second, and wipe it off with a sock, or rag, something clean though, and then have another rag thats soaked in water, to wipe it off and I don/t know how necessary, if it does, to prevent more of a bite to the plastic, and then rinse it off too, thats maybe to be extra careful? But I tried nail polish remover recently to experiment with and it didn't work, and it said it had acetone in it, I don't know though if its some kind of gentler kind so ……just to share..also if you want to keep it mint in package, you could hair dryer heat the tape to open it, etc. sometimes you can scrap it off too though, I have two figures (both elites if its sometime to those) that had a little white something on their hair, on one figure I was able to chip it off, the other I ended up scraping through the hair paint, and have to paint it back, but its just black so its not complicated. I agree with the clear nail polish. I've done it many times. You just put a little on the spot, then grab a rag and with pressure wipe off all the clear nail polish. It'll take the paint along with it. Just do a light amount and watch the hair and eyebrows so you don't get it. I just had to do this with my Kalisto who had pink paint on his upper thigh. Good as new in less than a minute.
