According to the video of Bill from SDCC, it sounds like Walmart will have its own exclusive Elite series.
Which means we now have these Elite exclusives:
Target - Hall of Fame
TRU - Network Spotlight and Big Book
Walmart - Then, Now, Forever (Elite series 1: Bam Bam, Rusev, Rock, Breeze) (Elite series 2: Typhoon)
RSC - Exclusive elites
Amazon - Mankind, Andre
Walgreens - HBK
Gamestop - Brock
Even though this is going to make the hunt more interesting, I'm glad Mattel has found a way to keep getting us more of the figures we've been asking for.
Any other store exclusive Elite series I'm missing?

Am I the only one who desperately wants an original Crow version of Sting where he had just the 1 line coming from his eyes? I was just thinking about that this morning. I'd love that Sting. |

This first round of reveals shows that Mattel is listening. Brutus, Tatanka, Harlem Heat two-pack, Nakamura, Asuke, New Day three-pack, new Becky, all great stuff.

I'm excited for the reveals to be unveiled over the course of the weekend. And even though there have been many leaked images in the past, The Ringmaster and Shockmaster have shown that it is still possible to be surprised.

Did anyone else notice it saying "9 time Tag Champion" on Cesaro's bio when he was being interviewed last night?? I swear it said "9 time Tag Champion" and not 1 time, which was a huge screw up by WWE's part to put that down if that's the case.  |

Did anyone else catch Shane saying "Finn Balor" to Daniel Bryan right after RAW drafted Gallows and Anderson? I went back to watch the recording and right after RAW picks G&A, you can hear some chatter between D Bry and Shane overlapping what the commentators are saying. As they cut to them, you hear Shane say "Finn Balor" to Bryan as a response to RAW picking G&A.

I'm joining those of you mourning the dream of possibly ever getting a Powers of Pain. I'm having flashbacks of being a kid and getting an LJN Warlord in short trunks and never seeing a Barbarian to go with him. That kind of trauma never leaves you.

Man, not only would I love the Freebirds, but I'd love David Von Erich as well.
If we ever get One Man Gang he could go in there. You might be able to get away with the basic blue and white WM Heritage Series Warrior and call him Dingo Warrior, although his hair was shorter then.
On a custom level, I took a Hillbilly Jim body and made a Bruiser Brody with the Jakks Brody head to put in my display with the Von Erichs. Looks pretty good.

Would have been cool if the original Legends line came with rolled up posters of that artwork, as an homage to the old LJN line.

I'm just happy to have four different Steamboat figures.
But, I would absolutely love The Great Muta. I know it's a pipe dream, but I'd love The Great Kabuki as well. They'd make great Elites, but I'd take them as a basic Battlepack.

Looks like this new Jericho has blue painted on the jacket lights instead of the glow in the dark paint that E20 had. It may keep the original jacket as a sought after piece.
I'm loving that Legends artwork treatment on Magnum. I wonder if this artwork was originally done for when Magnum was scheduled for the Legends line and they've just been hanging onto it. If not, I'd love to see all legends/flashback figures with this artwork.
I may try to sculpt a collar on Magnums vest, and paint the buttons, but regardless I'm thrilled to be getting him.

This is a great post. Man, I would love all of these LJN's to have a Mattel version.
I think Adonis would make a unique and fun figure to have. Hercules would look great with a removable vest and chains. I'll take any Haku they give us.

I agree with PJ, I think the difference is in what you buy to collect for yourself, and what you buy as an investment to sell later. I've been collecting since the LJN line, and I still have all my LJN and Hasbro figures. For me it holds so much sentimental value looking at what I've collected over the years, and the memories that come with it. Collecting is about how much value these figures have to me. On an investment level, all the RSC exclusives have gone up in value. Even thought at one time you could buy them loose on RSC for a steal, they've all gone up on the resale market, including the Flash Rey. Even if they're not MOC. Anyone looking for a RSC SES Punk, Hitman, or nWo Savage will pay a good chunk to get them. |
