Pulis got it all wrong.
Playing 4-4-2 against Man City is near suicidal, but if we were going to "go for it" then why didn't we? Why'd we just sit back, without putting any pressure on the ball, and let City pass it around us? And Yacob not starting looked a poor decision even before the first whistle. Playing so deep and so defensive without our best defensive midfielder? Made no sense whatsoever.
Abysmal first half. I doubt we'll play a half worse than that all season. Fair play to City though, they took full advantage and Silva was just unstoppable. He was absolutely awesome.
And fair play to Pulis too actually, who admitted he got it completely wrong in the post-match interview. Said he learned from his mistake although given how experienced Pulis is, it was disappointing to see him make that mistake in the first place.
With Chelsea at home next, we could really do with a result against Watford on the weekend.

Yeah I heard it wasn't a good watch. What were your thoughts on Milner? My mate said he was poor as of 70 minutes but I rarely agree with him on football so he could be horrendously wrong. Saw the 2 WHU goals and heard the first on the radio as I was driving. Was just happy Arsenal lost at home. Reminds me of the 3-1 loss to Villa opening day a few seasons ago (hopefully without the excellent response). I saw something the other day comparing the despair after that game to the hope at the Emirates 2 seasons later. Happy to see the despair return Milner actually had a pretty good debut performance. He gave the ball away a few times but he kept the game calm. He should end up being a very good transfer and a rock in the midfield. I've seen some say he was the MOTM, while I wouldn't go that far I'd say he had a good debut. Couldn't believe West Ham pulled it off. Adrian had a very good day and deserves a good deal of credit too. Very curious to watch tomorrow's City/Brom game. Especially with City getting Delph and Sterling now, it should be interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing a Berahino hat trick for Brunt's Left Foot. Ooh, yes please. Hopefully with Rondon in attendance. I actually think we stand a decent chance of getting a result, especially after seeing Arsenal and Chelsea falter. City shouldn't underestimate us.

Oh dear Arsenal.... West Ham are sh*t, I hope they go down. I'm not even posting this in the European thread because they don't deserve it. I take it all back. West Ham to win the treble.

This new Football League show on Channel 5 is a complete mess.
Adverts, filler material, sh*t "banter", studio audience for some reason, highlights all over the place, cheap graphics. All they had to do was copy the template of BBC's show and just put it on at 9pm instead. And for some reason they've complicated it and made it much worse.

I like it.
It's not one of my absolute favourites, but I can see why people rated it so highly when it was on the air.

Being reported that we're close to signing Salomon Rondon from Zenit for £15m.
Some signing that would be.

Can't believe I'll be watching the Premier League by this time tomorrow. The wait is almost over! I predict a 1-1 in the opener. Do we have a prediction thread, by the way? There's a prediction league thread, get yer arse in there.

Loved Viva La Bam and pretty much anything else relating to Jackass.
I actually feel Jackass the TV series hasn't aged all that well. There's still some stunts and pranks I enjoy but yeah, it holds up a lot better as a film series. Jackass Number Two is still fantastic.
My favourite episodes of VLB are any where it's Bam vs Don Vito. Bam is a complete dick but he's always entertaining. Vito really steals the show. Phil, Dico and Dunn are great too (RIP).
Bam's Unholy Union was okay, but it was missing some key ingredients from Viva La Bam.
