Probably not, unfortunately. What's the deal with your transfer policy? Who is signing the players? Jeremy Peace seems to be the one making all the decisions.

I think everyone thought that. A lot of people had/have us down to finish 20th. I've got nothing against Irvine per se, I just don't think he's what we need. If Pulis can keep Palace up comfortably, he could do it with us. Do you reckon he'd fancy it? Not sure he'd be overly keen on your transfer policy. Probably not, unfortunately.

Bring me Tony Pulis! And if he's not available, bring me his non-union English equivalent! I had a feeling you'd struggle when you appointed Irvine and signed an entire new team. It's just very odd. From the day I saw his debut against Swansea, I've thought Sergio Aguero was the best striker in the Prem and possibly in world football.
Only injuries have stopped him being in the top couple of scorers in the last few seasons. If he stays fit, he'll be top scorer this season.

Today has solidified why I hate Arsenal. They are the most frustrating team in the league bar none.

He's shown he's not a good manager? How? By not being able to keep a god awful QPR side in the Premier League but then getting them back into the Prem at the first attempt? And I'd hardly call dropping from 3rd to 4th "capitulating". I wouldn't quite say god-awful but he hasn't really achieved anything. Getting promoted was literally the minimum expectation for him there. It definitely was considering the lead they had, the form they were in, and the fact that everyone knew full well the potential for Chelsea to win the CL and put 4th out of next year's competition. They were pretty terrible. It would have taken a Mourinho-esque manager to keep QPR up and even then it might not have been possible. And like I said, without 'Arry, Spurs wouldn't have been anywhere near even 4th.

On an unrelated note, Jimmy Bullard is going on I'm A Celebrity this year. Should be good for a laugh.

Don't care what about Spurs supporters say (and there a lot of them that are starting to change their tune on this matter), they were completely wrong to sack Harry Redknapp. It was harsh at the time and it's proven to be a disastrous decision. I think he deserved it. He's shown since that he isn't that great a manager anymore anyway, but at Spurs he took his eye off the ball. It doesn't matter that he finished 4th; they should have been comfortably third with the position they were in. Instead he acted incredibly unprofessionally when the England job came about and totally capitulated into 4th, which cost them a place in the CL that they really should have taken. I don't think Harry would have done any better than any of the managers they've had since. He's shown he's not a good manager? How? By not being able to keep a god awful QPR side in the Premier League but then getting them back into the Prem at the first attempt? And I'd hardly call dropping from 3rd to 4th "capitulating".

Redknapp made his own bed during the last 15 games of the season. Head turned by the England job, lost focus on his present job and the players followed suit. Should have breezed third and ended up fourth., and unluckily victim of a rule that now doesn't exist. That said, he needed the backing of the board in the January window to sign a world class striker and centre half to help with the run-in. Instead, Levy gave him Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha. That was the turning point for me and we've been going down ever since. AVB was very unlucky to be sacked too. Two drubbings aside, he did very well, especially with some of the dross that Baldini bought for him. It doesn't matter, still finished fourth which Spurs can only dream of right now. Tottenham were in relegation battles the two seasons before Redknapp got there. In his first full season, he got you Champions League. That's incredible work and no matter whether they "should have" finished third, he was very very unlucky to not deliver CL football again. AVB's Spurs were a lot less entertaining to watch, but he got the results. Slow start to the season, a couple of thrashings from two very good sides, and he gets sacked. Both were poor decisions imo.

I completely agree, although I think Villas-Boas' sacking was slightly harsh too. Agreed, although if they still had Redknapp they wouldn't have needed AVB.

Man, what is wrong with the mentality of that club? Whoever is manager it never seems to change. I like how you keep coming back to that because your theory of a Sky Sports WWE being more successful than the WWE Network in the UK has no basis in fact.
The Canadian version of the Network is a big hit, right? Tell me more about that....
