So it looks like I'm snowed in. Roughly 8-10 inches outside.
How many of you guys have snow? How much accumulation?

Hey sluts, I am in fact alive and well. Just had a lot going on pre and post Christmas. Probably for the best that I missed the sign up for next show because it gives me a bit more time to get everything back to working order. Holy sh*t Batman! He's alive!

That's not exactly an "I have nothing don't worry my shovel has retired" answer. It's more of a "don't worry, your rooks will have their chance to get their fair shot at a disproportionately meteoric rise to the top before I'll ever be able to to even sit and think about hashing out a new character" answer. Zing. Haha. Really, though. I'm up to my neck in all the sh*t that comes with trying to sell a house while at the same time buying a new one. If this purchase goes anything like the last one, I won't even be settled in for two months or we've painted every inch of drywall in the damn building - whichever comes first, and to top it all off there's a small human that some people say kinda looks like me asleep on my chest right now. I'd like to tell you that I'm level headed enough to be able to find that comfortable balance and maintain time for my hobbies without taking the edge off as I was once so likely to do, but if that were the case, I wouldn't have been shelling out the bi-weekly copay to my shrink for the past seven months or so. Just ain't in the cards, man... ...unless the opportunity comes up for me to back up a ton of sh*t I talked a while back - then we might have to break out some whiskey and a shovel. I'm pretty sure I inherited Brennan's shovel when he went on hiatus.

My bad dude, I honestly thought I done the entrance already. I guess I got carried away with other business. I'll get to work on it when I finish on this chapter of 'Monster' and add to Sar's profile, I'll tell once it's up. Right on bro. It helps to have these details so I can write matches more efficiently.

I've dug enough holes around here to last a lifetime - you won't be getting anymore burials out of me. So you say. Exactly how many pieces do you have half written/back logged just waiting for a time to come back? Ouch.

Nah. Not a blog anyways. Me and jdfranchise are planning on starting up a monthly podcast or video segment or whatever you want to call it for WFWF, WF's e-fed (which you're in Kyle but some others might not know what it is )so if we ever get around to it I might post it in the lounge to get some feedback, even if the majority of the site doesn't know about WFWF, just advice on making it better. Yeah speaking of which Shawn, hit me up tommorrow when you got time. With neither of us having a match to rp for this card this card, it might be a good time for us to get this hashed out and possibly get the first episode recorded.

Smh....wfwf most important tip: make a character and have fun. Everyone starts off bad at for the most part with a cheesy character...embrace it and then make it your own...and have fun. PREACH!

Tough choice, since I haven't seen any of these matches (and nice WCW theme BTW). I'll choose Starrcade '97 to go along with World War 3. Whichever we watch you should totally check out the other two. I always dug that Starrcade. Halloween Havoc that year is good too, if not for the Rey/Eddie match.

If your character needs a minimum of a six pack a day to cover twelve hours worth of waking ground and you can write that story without slugging back a minimum of a six pack a day, you're only generating a creative bind that will forever leave you with a wildly disproportionate disconnect with your character that will be impossible to break until you do decide that six vials of the ol' golden amber is gonna be exactly what you need to meet that oh so elusive completion deadline. Sup. Sup

Lmao he was US champ without a contract. He was US Champion afterwards. Point is, JJ said he has 24 hours to sign a contract with WCW or he's not allowed to show up on WCW, yet he's wrestling Scotty Riggs on PPV. So why the f*** would you have a non-contracted wrestler wrestle on PPV? Was this before or after the eyepatch deal?

Sh*t yeah, that's when WCW was really getting hot. And Steiner after the turn ruled, even if he did screw up the majority of his promos. Majority? You're being generous. And he is the cautionary tale of why WWE stopped letting guys do promos off the cuff. So yeah, very generous.

when coming up for your character, unless you can write 3 archs as a heel and 3 archs as a face, right off the top of your head.. start rethinking. You're going to need strong inner stories to progress within the federation. Also start trying to come up with angles in the federation. Look at other characters and try to come up with guys you could feud with. Come up with ideas for your character, what they'd do against other characters in the federation now and what would cause conflicts between them. I sent him a pm with some other tips, but Schneider nailed the other big thinews to remember. Someone said there was a lot going on here and it's because many of the characters you see have multiple stories going. Inner stories give us something to invest in as readers, which in turn will help you progress. An archive to simplify what Schneider is saying is the conflict your character is facing outside the ring that can bleed over into his work in the ring. Let's get real here, we all have multiple things going on in our lives that require our attention, and that's what builds our characters.

There's a lot here to take in. There's is, and that's why I'd suggest taking your time reading through stuff as not to feel overwhelmed. And if you are interested, start thinking about the kind of character you want, what kind of values and personality you want readers to learn about them. Before you put a template together, try to have an idea as to where you want to go. Happy to see you considering jumping on board.
