I've been going through an archive of our local paper I found online, saving articles I was mentioned in and/or written, as I'm going on six years into a political "career" now, with some pretty big prospects in the coming year, and I never once stopped to save any of this stuff. I've always been a loudmouth on local issues, but I never thought it would amount to anything.

I kept getting side tracked though, because, unbeknownst to me, my dad used to be a frequent flyer in our local editorial section, complaining about stuff like the way people parked at the ice cream stand near the house I grew up in. What a character.

I listened to more of the interview but I’m not going to bother to recap it in any detail. He was defensive of their business model but spoke mostly in generalities and nonspecifics. Basically a “haters don’t understand” mentality instead of a diplomatic “this is how things work for us” approach. Yes he was able to show off $500 sample figures but please don’t insult me by saying these are expensive to make. I agree that it isn’t cheap but all you need are 20 sales to make up that cost.

They also laughed at the idea of asking for photos from the factory. Maybe I’m the ignorant one but in previous experiences, this was not an issue and it was common place when asked. You wouldn’t do it every day but it was never viewed as something you couldn’t/shouldn’t do. Then again, those were large companies so his experience is probably very different.

Anyone here work at Burger King or Tesco?
