Why would people care about a different date on the foot or mark on the box then? Goes both ways gentelmen That's not a gotcha. I'm asking a simple question: what profit incentive does Mattel have to care about maintaining the aftermarket value of their own toys? They don't make money from the secondary market. If anything, they have at least some incentive to do re-releases if there's enough demand. The incentive for Mattel to add a simple change to the box (Best of or whatnot) is hype, excitement that this particular line has turned into, almost certain aftermarket value. At least for 75% of the figures That makes people buy multiples, which in turn Mattel likes. No matter what the ‘I’ll never, never, ever sell a figure for profit’ or ‘I don’t want my figures that I spend probably $1,000’s on to be worth anything’ crowd on this forums feels It’s just common sense. You’ve got this line for adult collectors. Look out for them. Add something obvious to the box. Nobody is asking them to break the bank or even fix the hideous heads for HBK

Lexington Wal Mart had all of Elite 90. No chase Bossman. No Goon or Strongbow (don’t know which one is the CE, but they had neither)
And they also had 2 full cases of the Retro Spidey Legends (with Hobgoblin, Symbiote Spidey)

There’s really no downside for Mattel doing this. Only for scalpers and flippers who bought multiple before they shot up. It’s a win win for everyone There’s no downside to putting Best of 2020 on the packaging However there is a downside to collectors losing faith in a company straight up rereleasing exactly the same stuff 2 years later. No matter what the majority of people on here pretend. Most of us do like the fact that a lot of these things hold a good amount of value, even if you’re idea going in is to not sell them

Personally I’m glad they are Re Releasing these two. I’ve got a loose HBK but I’d like a MOC one too. Same for Brock. I’ll buy two, one for loose, one for MOC
I had Brock, bought him as ‘damaged packaging’ from RSC. Never got around to opening it, they shot up, so I sold it for over $100
But Mattel re releasing older figures in the exact same packaging is going to hurt themselves in the long run no matter what this forums here thinks, a lot of collectors / flippers / scalpers, whatever you want to call them, buy multiples of these things to save and flip. Those days will come to an end, if straight re releases become common
Look at the prices when the following came out. And at least these packages were different
E14 Bossman - Network Spotlight Bossman (I know this because I had one for sale, then NS was announced and it started going for maybe half of what it was going for)
E19 Shawn - E44.5 Shawn E23 Undertaker - E44.5 Undertaker L2 Kamala - E44.5 Kamala SDCC Taker - DM Undertaker (2nd)
The bottom dropped out on those figures and they differed at least in packaging.
As I said, I welcome it, but I can also see it turning a lot of people off

Just curious. How much would it be to ship a loose Legends Hurricane, Jake, HHH or Orton? They are flooding shelves all around me. Would be glad to help anyone out. They cost appx $24 USD over here to buy (I believe)
Would be nice to move some of these things out

I ordered the UE Undertaker from Target. It should be here Friday. And with my leftover Target Circle savings it was $31 shipped. It’s funny. I bought UE Kane a couple weeks ago at Target. It was $32.99. Today I found Undertaker at the same Target, and it was $29.99

I haven’t see anything above Elite 87 in months at Wal Mart. Usually it’s nothing but a leftover E85 Bray Wyatt or a Karion Kross, but little else
At Target I’ll see an E88 Trish or Rey or maybe E87 Candice(?) Not much else in the regular line
Have seen the Goldberg, Rey and Hardy new box Top Picks at both Wal Mart and Target though
Hopefully stuff will come rolling in this month and next. Royal Rumble Elites, E89, E90 at least

Series 2
Andre in yellow or blue Nikolai Volkoff Hogan (WM1) then someone who they would never release as a single like Don Muroco or something
Because the sets will sell out anyway because of Hulk and Andre so put two lackluster stars in it (Volkoff and Muroco)
I’m like whoever said it above though. I’ll buy whoever they put out. Whatever era, doesn’t matter

Just like the new gen arena these will sell for 3 or 4 times the cost! I’ve learned that most RSC figures skyrocket and now Mattel Creations will also! These retros more so than the new gen arena. The new gen arena and its figs will be flooded on the secondary for less than retail on the day they arrive, it’ll take two years for them to go up. These Retros maybe. But you’re crazy if you think the Ultinate Edition New Gen ring / entrance / 3 figure bundle will be less than retail. The Savage alone will go for $150-$250

I bought it. Mainly just to support the relaunch. But IMO this is a weak ass set for a relaunch
If going with that WM1 theme it needed Hogan
Hopefully sooner than later we will get ‘85, ‘86, ‘87 Hogan and maybe a non heel version of Andre, bodyguard Virgil, non dragon Steamboat, Lawler, etc
If they still have rights to Dusty, I’d like an NWA Dusty to go with the Flair they did, Terry Funk too
One thing I will not complain about is the shipped price. Very pleased with that!

I can’t imagine paying these prices for these pre orders
There is not an AEW figure yet that I have not seen multiple times at retail, besides Brandi and WM Sting. Some of these shipped prices for mainline figures sound insane

Now that it’s cone out that E48 Boogeyman, E63 Kane and I guess E50 Shanomac were reissued
Could you let us in on what the limitations are or would be? Would any talant that’s still signed be available for reissue? Theoretically just from main line, taking out whatever restrictions might be in place for exclusive’s from various stores
Very interesting topic IMO

I just turned 42. Im from The the south, so I grew up watching the NWA, really more than the WWF. So as a kid, I had all of these (minus Mat Mania series). Has the ring, cage, the works
Granted I had only seen The Road Warriors, Flair and the Freebirds and Jimmy Garvin on tv. I was addicted to wrestling mags, so I knew most of the others from there
As a kid, these were so much better to play with than LJN’s. So many fond memories
That said, I won’t buy any of these except Flair. The nostalgia / collectibility just isn’t there for me

forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/370862/boogeyman-reissueAble to shed any light on this? Also, are legends still shipping entire cases of a single figure? I’m guessing that they are not nor are any other line but I don’t recall ever hearing confirmation of the case breakdowns returning to normal. The Boogeman fig was reissued last year to one our specialty partners. Legends are still are still shipping as full cases (open stock). You can tell what on planogram is open stock vs assortment by the shelf tag. If the tag is for an individual figure, they're being brought in as full case packs. If the shelf tag lists just the toy line, the retailers are bringing in that product at the assortment level. So are we saying a company paid to have a whole new run of E48 Boogeyman (& E63 Kane, E50 Shane)? If that’s the case. Does RSC or another company have the option of ordering say E31 Vader, E3 or E7 HBK, E13 Edge, etc? What is the cutoff or restrictions?

Two questions
Is the Kane that matches this the Basic SummerSlam one from this past year?
And I didn’t really watch much during the days when WCW merged with WWE. Are these belts different than the previous WCW tag belts? And if so. Who do we have in Mattel form thar held these belts?
