Why do those of you that "do not collect Basics" find it so necessary to add that disclaimer? You can say a Basic figure looks good, no one is going to think any less of you. Your "Elite only" street cred will remain intact. Have no fear, you will continue to be cooler than those of us that have no problem buying a good basic figure. It really means that I usually don’t buy Basics because of their lack of articulation, lack of colors on tattoos and even more scale issues than the Elites. But some are to good looking to pass up. I don’t collect Basics, other than Fink figures, I haven’t bought one since the TRU Exclusive Surfer Sting

Goldberg returned to WWE as an onscreen character in like September of 2016. He was the DEFENDING WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 33. We've gotten SEVERAL Basic and Elite figures of characters in their WM33 attires. It is now March of 2018 and not only has no Goldberg besides the one with the RAW Main Event Ring been released....there have been none shown at the toy conventions, and none in the rumored lineups that we're not supposed to talk about which 99% of the time are legit. So we probably can't even get another Goldberg in any capacity until sometime in 2019 because they've shown us essentially everything that's coming out for the remainder of 2018. So if Jinder follows the same timeline, they are not going to hurt their sales of that stupid ring by giving you a cheaper way to get Jinder while that Smackdown ring is in production and in store. Why buy a $100+ ring with midget ringposts when you can get a Jinder for $9.99 - $19.99? So yeah....Goldberg is probably at least a year away, and Jinder is probably at least a year and a half away. Yes but they WILL be released.... Goldberg is $$$ there's no way Mattel won't release numerous figures of him once the ring has ran its course. Then again Surfer Sting is $$$ Razor Ramon in various colorful attires is $$$ Pre boring attire Orton is $$$ Triple H pre ‘05 is $$$ RVD is $$$ and we get little to none of those, so who knows |

As ridiculous as this body is, I still think there’s a reason why it happened and not just an oversight or “laziness” on MDTs part. For all we know, he could of been told to slim him down, make it more appealing to kids to buy. Maybe a higher up approval led us to this body choice. Bill is a huge fan and a collector himself, I’m sure this sort of thing bothers him too. Mattel have always tried to stick to the authentic height scale of the figures, I don’t think they ever meant the rest of the body to scale. And some of you still collect jakks, where the majority of the figures had the same jacked torso. You're absolutely bang on. I keep hearing tooling costs money but yet we got new tooling for Seth Rollins once off attire from wrestlemania that will NEVER be used again. New tooling for Ellsworth torso which will NEVER be used again. It makes zero sense why we can't get new tooling for things that will b3 used again and again aka a kurt angle body!! Just thinking of maybe a reason on Kurt. Tooling a whole new singlet torso may have set the figure back, the way Mattel moves, to Elite 65. Then we’d be complaining about it taking too long (myself included) Ellisworth - thought the exact same thing first time I saw it. Thought how the hell is this justified but a lot of others are not I’ve just got to think that as a fan and as a designer (somewhat an artist or artistic type person). This is Bills work, he knows some of these glaring mistakes, but he’s probably got corporate above him saying who cares, they’ll buy it anyway because of the belt. He’s got to know, he’s collected forever and seemingly a big fan. He’s probably a bit of a yes man also, so this is what you get sometimes. Some bad, mixed in with a whole lot of good |

What a waste of 5 minutes. MattelDesignTeam must of gave Steve pointers on how to be as vague as possible when answering every question. That’s why I don’t understand when things get leaked Bill gets mad. Take some time and post things from time to time before they get leaked. We’re always in the dark on this forum, you know the one Bill is actually a part of. I mean how can you not tell us something as simple as the eg Finn attire. Or at least give us what attires it’s narrowed down to. As someone said earlier he opens them up to a lawsuit if he says one color and they ends up being another 😂😂🙄🙄 |

Is the show still worth watching? I stopped watching around season 6 I think. It was right before Negan was introduced. I haven't heard many good things about the show since then and I just wanted to get everyone's opinion. My opinion stop at Season 6 and you’re good. Show hasn’t been good since. Like most others I still watch out of habit, but 7 was God awful and 8 has really been like watching paint dry so far Hopefully it gets better |

Everything is “laziness”... What would you classify it as? Clearly they knew with further review that the figure should have the tattoo. However, all it takes is a WrestleMania 10 reference pic to see that he had the tattoo at the time. Being the top toy company in the world and not reviewing something like that to me falls under the laziness category. As a college student if I write a paper and forget to cite my references in my paper that would be laziness on my part. I’m not the one to defend Mattel and Bill no matter what, but I don’t know about laziness. Maybe an oversight would be better. He’s a collector and a mega fan, I’m sure he wants all the figures the absolute best he can. Maybe he’s working on 50 figs, and designing 50 more, and dealing with whatever else. Some obvious things from the outside looking in, go unnoticed Still doesn’t explain decisions like Jakes torso, Old Man Flairs torso, and other things but I don’t think it’s laziness. He probably wants a lot of things, but works for the huge corporation who is saying ‘F the tattoo, get them into production’. Maybe we can bait them into buying up any HBK’s that might still be at retail to fix it LOL |

Go find an E13 or RSC Edge in package or in good shape and complete and tell me they aren’t exspensive (relative to Mattel WWE figures). That’s what I was referring to, not the new SS that you will be able to find for retail the point was when they both 1st released, the price were $20-25 (give or take if it was a RSC exclusive, etc.) is not exactly "expensive" unless to those in a less favorable financial status You’re right they were. I just meant a lot people are like E13 and RSC figures are great, etc, etc. The scans/ssculpts on those figures are horrendous IMO. I was just responding to someone saying it’s the same scan as E13. Basically saying it sucked too |

The Stephanie head is meant to look BAD - she's just been covered in milk for goodness' sake! barring that, look at the reception of Edge's headscan, literally the same one used on E13 and people getting into a hissy fit:  thank you cableV for finding this gif To be fair E13 is horrible, as is this one. All this complaining is going to do is stop Bill from posting anything till it's 100% final. Which in turn will give us less stuff at each toy show. Personally, I appreciate that we are getting sneak peaks. As always I'll gladly wait till the final product before I decide to purchase something or not. But then again, maybe I'm not a decent collector because I'm not throwing a tantrum? Bill should come on here and read some of this stuff. He would get a good laugh out of these Kurt Angle sucks idiots above That WM Angle is great. I’m sure the milkomania will turn out good too Also hope he can separate - most of us love and appreciate his work and effort. Parts that they have available and don’t use are legitimate questions, that doesn’t mean he sucks and doesn’t know shit I was (am) pissed about Jinder coming with the ring, probably not Bills call. Oh well, I’ll wait until a normal release and move on Razor - he’s got to have a good wrestling attire Razor planned, he’s just throwing us a bone with this one. Will probably turn out sweet with the shirt and final product. Something that hasn’t been done before anyway All in all, he does great work, Mattel & Bill, should take notes from Hasbro and other companies about hyping their product. Whether it’s leaks, whatever. At least a lot of people care enough to want to know the next years worth of lineups , so quit turning it I️ to a negative thing |

Time we seeing stuff today? Not just directed at you but why are people still expecting to see stuff? It’s a trade fair, it’s a whole different beast from a convention. This fair is for retailers not consumers So they are selling retailers on American Alpha, a millionth Triple H, millionth Cena, Elias, and a ring they didn’t want with one of the biggest stars of all time, now comes with a guy who peaked in 2017 and is basically a nobody. Mattel, you have to do better than that Oh and more dolls that won’t sell |

Saw Black Panther. 7/10. Solid first go but nothing too memorable. It reminded me of Dr. Strange with the pacing. I enjoyed it but middle of the pack for me when ranking them. I’d put the three MCU movies from last year ahead of it. I just saw it tonight, it was ok I said the exact same thing to him, Gaurdians 2 way above it, Spidey and Thor were much more up my alley. I enjoyed it more than Dr Strange though Really liked Okoye and Shari?, but oddly enough don’t care for Black Panther himself Bring on Infinity War |

It is night and day between Hasbro and Mattel
I enjoy the Mattel WWE (Elite line anyway) but I wish they took the approach Hasbro does with Legends and Black Series in particular. They put so much info out themselves about upcoming info, there’s no crying about spoiling things and they couldn’t keep their rabid fan base happier
Everything is so secretive about this line and hush, hush. Really frustrating
That said I’ll buy 75% of the stuff they put out, just wish they would go about things differently when it comes to their die hard fan base

I am just stupefied at the number of people who want a Jinder Elite and are this upset that he comes with the ring. We all did watch the same programming throughout 2017, right? Are we talking about former jobber Jinder Mahal? The same guy who came back with roid boobies and back rash who when given a remarkable push to the moon, purely for pushing the product in India as a public relations bridge, and had all the charm and charisma as old lettuce? For those of you that truly want an Elite because you enjoy him, please let me know which drugs you're on because they seem like fun! Though I really am bummed that they put an annoying hurdle in your way. But for everyone else that's just mad he comes with the ring, I have to think the heads at Mattel figured he'd be warming shelves as a stand-alone Elite, and the Smackdown ring probably will move slowly at the price point its at, and judging by how few I've seen of the Raw rings in people's collections I've seen on here I can't see them moving too well either, that they can combine the two and hope for the best. A damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Instead of two shelf warmers, you have one, and a free spot in an Elite wave. The heads at Mattel will give us a Rich Swann, Jack Gallagher, American Alpha (that already warmed like hell in the TNF series) & James Ellsworth, but now they should be worried about Jinder, at least he was WWE champion, warming as a regular Elite? I don’t think so |

How business works? Instead of selling a lot of Jinders, they choose to sell a lot LESS Jinders If they want more people to buy the ring, put an exclusive AJ Styles in there. That would be best for business Yes, how business works. They’ve put 2 very sought after figures, that collectors want, in a ring set that they want to sell. Jinder would’ve absolutely rotted in the main line. Goldberg, however, appealed to all collectors. You want an Elite Jinder Mahal? There’s your option that Mattel has given you. They sell the Jinder, they sell the ring. The option they’ve left us is for most people to NOT buy it. If it’s such a great idea, where are they at in Targets, why aren’t they at Wal Mart stores? Because they’re destined to be at Big Lots for $35, then they can let WCT start making them again, because it didn’t work out. Mattel treats their adult collectors, of their premium lines, like we will just buy anything they throw at us, even if it’s total shit |
