I didn't finish the book yet, but they incorporate a lot of the book into the movie. A bunch of direct quotes too which was cool. And it couldn't have been like the book, at least not what Ive read so far. It would have just been people retelling their stories, which works in a book format. But I think this route is better for film. You still get a lot of what the book had to offer and it offers up characters for you and you kind of follow those stories as they're happening instead of afterwards. Since the trailer came out I saw a lot of people complaining that the book and movie were so different but think about the book, do you really think it would translate well into a movie without changing the format? Jumping from part to part with nothing really tying it together? I think this was their best bet. Look at the book as its tagline "an oral history" and the movie as more of a "currently happening" story. It was a very well done zombie movie and I think you're foolish if you don't see it. It's the first time in my experience with zombie stories, whether it be movies, TV, video games or books, where I've sat and said.. "ya know what, I don't think I would survive if that happened now". All other zombie things I've easily seen myself surviving. This movie shows how chaotic it could be and really had me thinking about how I would fair in this world. The fact that the zombies rush around and pile up like waves of water kills it for me. In the book, they are the classic slow, shambling zombies. I think it could have worked if they stuck with the book. It could have been told through flashbacks. That's one thing I loved so much about the book. It was told through so many different perspectives and wasn't focused on just one guys involvement in the war.

Stop making all of these spam threads. I locked the other one about someone opening a figure already. Don't post another one. If someone wants to open a figure, they have every right in the world to do so.

This may be the first topic I have ever seen which was written in one long sentence. Anyway, ask her out and then do what they do on the Discovery Channel. Fish for crabs?

I refuse to see it. I absolutely LOVED the book and the only thing the movie shares is the name. As different as it looks, they really should have just changed the name to something different. I don't think I've ever been as let down as I was when I saw the first trailer for it.

I've only played DR2 and DR:OTR. I liked them, but as a pretty casual gamer, I really didn't like the Zombrex aspect. I'd rather take my time and go at my own pace, than have to make sure I get Zombrex and make it back to the saferoom all the time.

Do I think an internet legend is real? Why would I think that? Because it's on the internet. Duh.

I'd agree but what about the exhaling? also, don't oarfish swim vertically? I didn't notice the exhaling part. In that case, it's Chupacabra.

I'm not sure if anyone actually cares, but I'll probably continue posting updates. So, I just started the first episode of Season Four. Okay... a couple things. Blink was ing fantastic. Episodes like that is why I'm glad I started watching this show. Just a wonderful episode. Series 3 started out REALLY slow and a little boring, but starting with the Family of Blood Two Parter onwards to the finale was just fantastic. The final three parter was very entertaining, if not a little hectic. Seeing The Doctor like that was depressing as hell. A little upset that Jack is gone, was hoping he was going to be a regular...... Oh well, I think he comes back a few times during the series, so I've got that to look forward to. Also it was extremely cool to see another time lord. The Master was a very enjoyable character, mostly due to the actor playing him. And of course the ending with him and the Doctor was another sad moment. Now, onto Series 4. The first episode was okay, it was fun to see Donna back. But one thing..... (spoilers in white) WHAT IN THE HELL WAS ROSE DOING THERE? Oh man, that surprised the hell out of me. I'm assuming I won't get answers until the Series/Season finale, but man did that ever hype me up.Well, that's the weekly update. Wish I would of started watching this show years ago. So much fun. I'm glad you're liking it. You're getting to some of the best stuff with Tennant.

I love that kind of stuff. It amazes me what kinds of animals are down there and how they've adapted to survive. And the fact that things as big or bigger than Blue Whales are down there and they manage to to never be seen, blows my mind.

Freddie Blassie's was pretty good. Lawler's was ok, but it felt like it was mostly about girls he's banged. The three of Foley's I've read were great.

They called it Deep Blue? They ripped that name off from the artificial intelligence chess program that beat the world's best chess player Kasparov. That was the point. Sandow was saying it was, THE Deep Blue that beat Kasparov.

It's usually not a good idea to repost something when the other thread was locked. The site is censored for a reason.
In addition to that, if you're not posting pictured of the figure, the post needs to go in the, "I Just Bought" thread that's stickied at the top.

The Unamericans were broken up because Test and Christian refused to cut their hair short like Lance Storm. Ironically, they both ended up getting haircuts within a year anyway. If I remember right, Kazarian also didn't want to cut his hair and ended up leaving WWE, only to cut it anyway after going back to TNA.
