1:12 is unrealistic for a startup, unless you're willing to pay close to $60 per figure... You've been around long enough to know that people on here don't have realistic expectations. That's the problem with kids today: "1:12 or nothing". Heck, when I was a kid I didn't even have wrestling figures, but my 3 3/4" Galoob B.A. could still whoop 5" Mattel Skeletor's ass! When I was 15 or 16 I had 2 wrestling figures: Wrestling Champs bootlegs of Studd & Hogan (still have them!). As an adult collector I started with some Hasbros, added 8" LJNs, then some Japanese 5" figures, some WCW Galoobs, 16" LJN Hogan, 14" Star Toys, discovered 5.5" Popys (STILL my only complete series), lucha arena figures, ... I have a skyline of figures.

I have a huge collection at the 6inch scale(thousands) unfortunately no matter how bad i would want new names and faces, at 4 inch scale it would be a hard pass. Other than star wars currently on the market, every other figure line available and in most collections is in the 6 inch scale. My personal opinion is you have more people who would want to blend a new line in with pre existing collection as opposed to starting a whole new set at a completely different scale. Super7 is going strong in the 3 3/4" figure segment; I have their luchas and Eddie (from Iron Maiden) figures. Zica Toys also keeps making 4" figures: Sectaurs and Captain Action. In the pre-Covid-19 era so did Fresh Monkey Fiction.

I'm in if it's 1:12 aka 6 inch It's 1:18 a pretty nice scale for people like me that were kids in the '80s

So you're basically talking about starting a direct to consumer company? The figures would probably be cost prohibitive for my taste. And I don't know what the demand for 3 3/4 figures is . But I would love to add some NWA figures to my collection if the right opportunity arose. Well NWA is too niche for a nationwide (let alone worldwide) distribution in stores. So yes, basically you're looking at the Super7 bussiness model: direct to consumer or specialty shops, thus sadly more expensive...

I would love 1:12" to fit in with all other figure lines in the wrestling community nowadays. But correct me if I am wrong, 1:18" would be a 4" line? 3 3/4" line.

With "designing ABS plastic based, 1:18 scale wrestling figures" you mean 3D printing? Quite an expensive way... Anyway with NWA Powerrr, NWA is finally back on the map. With Retromania Wrestling they even have a videogame soon. Figures would be nice too ofcourse. I was specifically working on avoiding 3D printing and looking to uses similar plastic to the major toy lines in order to provide a competitive degree of quality. PVC might work better as we are still in the research and design phase. The alternative is ofcourse injection molding ABS or PVC.

None of these arguments make sense IMO. While not a Bravo fan personally... dude replaced Beefcake in "The Dream Team" in 1986. Sure, we don't really care or remember it, but Wrestlemania 3 is where he kind of took off. He was around in 1987 and certainly more noticeable and popular than Kirschner, SD Jones and Outback Jack. I mean crap, those guys were series 3 and 4... which doesn't make sense in itself compared to some of the guys in series 5 or 6, let alone guys who didn't even get a figure. In his run as a strongman, he feuded with Patera, Duggan and Muraco... all 3 having an LJN. This was all leading up to 1988 when he started his Quebecois bullcrap, which means he still should have been in the 1989 series. It's probably because he argued with Vince or some back stage BS where he wanted more money, more rights or something sordid beyond our knowledge. Well I once read that Kirchner and Outback Jack were both scheduled for a major push, that ultimately never happened. Also the Kirchner figure appeared at the height of the Rambo/G.I. Joe craze...

OK, enough: locking this now. When Shanieomaniac has pics this can be reopened, otherwise it will be closed forever and ever!

This isn't 1985, it takes seconds to take a picture and send it online lol. I call BS to this story. Well, his reasoning for not sending me a picture is 1. he has to get to the figure. He says it's in a box in his spare bedroom, which frankly has me worried, but he swears up and down he has it. I'm optimistic, but frustrated. 2. Even if he were to take a photo at his place, I likely wouldn't have access to it because he can't send picture messages and doesn't have internet. He would have to come to my place and park outside to access my internet, and with the stay at home order going on, he can only do that when he goes to get groceries. I know, it seems insane that a grown man in 2020 would insist on not having internet (or television) at his apartment, but that's just how he is.
He's... an odd duck. Then he can skip taking a pic and just deliver the figure

Am I the only one that read that and immediately thought it might be a Startoys Warrior rather than an LJN? Did your friend say how big the box is? Nope; he said: mint on card.

... and that makes you the worst friend ever! I can only hope your buddy reads this, sends you a picture saying: this could've been yours for FREE, however now I'm gonna sell it to provide for my family in these harsh times! Um, dude, I already offered to sell it for him. I offered to sell it for him and give him all the money I offered to sell it for him and give him half I begged him to let me sell it and give him some percentage of the profit. The guy is dead set on giving me this figure and having me keep every single penny of the profit. I'm not joking. His exact response is "Well, there's your stimulus check." I wish I were joking, but I'm not. He has no family whatsoever. I'm his only friend. He lives his life from the point of view of "Nothing in my life will matter when I'm dead." He's so far from materialist, I don't know how we co-exist. The only things he spends money on entertainment wise is fishing, pool, and dvds. And that last one is because he refuses to buy cable or internet. In his mind, my being the only person to still be there for him after his fiance' died, I deserve all that money for whatever I want it for. I know it makes me seem like a bad friend. And he has told me that I should take the money I earn and get something useful, like a new computer. But yeah, as far as giving him the profit? Dude, I tried. He wants no part of it. Well, this is totally different to your initial post. Guys like that don't cross your path twice... Cherish that friend! Bless him! (or at least buy him a DVD!)

I felt obligated to tell him "Um, buddy, I don't think you have any idea what you have there." But he is insistent on giving it to me. I'm straight up foaming at the mouth here. I don't even collect LJN, but the money I could make off that figure alone will fuel my figure habit for years!... and that makes you the worst friend ever! I can only hope your buddy reads this, sends you a picture saying: this could've been yours for FREE, however now I'm gonna sell it to provide for my family in these harsh times!

Monty Brown (later known in WWE as Marcus Cor Von) in tiger/leopard print trunks was rare (as opposed to in red trunks) IIRC.

Authentic/Elite Scale Ring might work too...
LJNs are about 8" so you need a big ring.
