Well, that settles it then; custom painted figures... We dont know if these are real or not. There hasn't been any definitive answer. JS Yeah, later on Ryder shook my conclusion...

I have never really paid any attention to the Remco AWA figures but these look great. Love that Baron Von Raschke has his claw hand moulded on, seems ahead of its time. The heads are also pretty good considering the time that these were made. I can call all of them except the guy in the red jacket in the top right, Zybsko, Terry Taylor? Larry Zbyszko.

Zoloworld maybe. I'm dying to find protectors for my hasbro moc tag teams, but don't know the exact sizes to get that would fit 😞 Tag cases really are a problem...

I had my doubts about Brutus and 2-up Tugboat: I found it weird Brutus was carded, with Tugboat I was sceptic because of the paint. A loose Brutus I would've accepted easier, same goes for an unpainted Tugboat. Now, let's say Lex and Doink ARE Hasbro paint mock-ups: they had the molds for Lex and Doink, so making 2 test shots and painting them was possible. Why a mixture of resin and plastic? The only reason I can think of: they had a shortage of plastic. Still, full resin would've made more sense... I guess they pushed these out to show part of series 12 to WWF headquarters and don't think they made it to toyfair. I can imagine these didn't convince WWF headquarters - sure, Doink is nice but just another repaint and what's with Lex' trunks being red - and Hasbro thus lost the license. Thank you very much for making me doubt now Wasn't Hasbro the one who dropped WWF? During the steroid trial? Don't know, WWF had a deal with JusToys, Playmates and Jakks pretty fast.

There are no rules when it comes to pre-production figures. To claim these are fake because others are not made exactly the same is ridiculous. I’m not claiming they are real either. People on these boards also claimed the original R & B Greg was fake, my Mega Maniacs Brutus, and 2 up tugboat were fake too...oh well. I had my doubts about Brutus and 2-up Tugboat: I found it weird Brutus was carded, with Tugboat I was sceptic because of the paint. he said doinks arms come off like a proto & another reply from the seller : I just compare him with the normal product. This prototype has different head. Thinner cheeks and bigger neck. Still going with custom painted (test shot) figures. Judge (member here) has a test shot Doink and said the head was soft as opposed to the solid head on the production figure. I see test shot Hasbro WWF figures sell for big money (which is insane as test shot figures of older toylines sell much cheaper), so why not paint a test shot in an unreleased painting scheme to cash in...

I'm not sure what to make of it but I can confirm that they are NOT resin. A few of my friends requested pictures of the bottom of the boots which the seller has now added. If they were indeed resin, the boots would NOT have holes which they do. Also, a resin cannot have a copyright marking on a back, since a paint master wouldn't have one, Lex Luger does. Also, I am aware of Doink the Clown not having the markings on the back....however, is it possible that this seller repainted a regular Red Card series Luger and repainted a legit Test Shot Prototype of Doink? Reason I ask is because look at the coloring around the holes on the new picture he added. That is the exact color the boots are on the actual test shot. Makes you wonder... Well, that settles it then; custom painted figures...

I'm wary because today with the right skills it isn't too hard to make a resin copy: tutorials can be found by just googling. Lex and Doink kept the existing bodies, so making resin copies and painting according to the drawing shouldn't be much of a problem. It just takes time & effort.

It's not wrong, he's just saying it might not attract new users or people who want to talk LJN or Hasbro because the brands aren't in the title. Like if you ran a sports website and had headings: NFL, NHL, MLB and Other ... with people wondering why NBA is in the "other" category. I suppose, but there are Mattel and Jakks boards so its safe to assume if you want other brands you will find those in other brands? Exactly! As long as the board exists it's NEVER been a problem for LJN, Hasbro or other fans to find WFT - Other Brands.

I am no expert but my website has images of Mexican and Japanese figures in my collection as well as a list of figures I don’t have and images of these (I have picked these images up over time and never kept a record of where they are from so if they belong to anyone on here then let me know and I can credit them or remove them). The website is wrestlingfiguremuseum.weebly.com. The home page has links to the Japanese and Mexican figures. The pictures with an orange background, including the CMLL Atlantis with secret compartment, belong to our previous Mod STOMWIJF.

I can't change the description, but "Non-Jakks WWE" should imply LJN & Hasbro can be discussed.
The main reason is this forum already has many subboards. Besides, every LJN or Hasbro fan finds his way to WFT: Other Brands.

I was mostly considering Bundy and Heenan. I was hoping Bundy would be slightly out of scale and look more menacing. Then I had hoped Heenan would be smaller to pair with Andre. I've seen a bendie Heenan on display with a Hasbro Andre and as a manager prop....NOT bad. You know it isnt a Hasbro, but could pass as a decent display piece with Andre. The wrestlers? Not so much. Body sizes aren't proportionate for imagining in-ring action at all. By the way, did LJN make the other managers into bendies, too? I forgot how far they went with those. LJN only made Heenan and Albano as bendies.

That Mexican might be able to do so, but there are 100s of arena figures. Not to stray off topic, but what exactly are "arena figures"? I understand they're bootlegs, but what else does that exactly entail? Again, sorry if I'm off topic or asking a taboo question.... They're called arena figures because they're sold at house shows. They're handpainted ranging from 4" - 5.5" Here are mine: Felino , Lizmark Jr., Eddie Guerrero, Mil Mascaras, Brazo de Plata

Nice loose collection!
When Hasbros arrived in 1990 I was regarded too old to buy or receive figures; I was 15. Luckily I'd gotten a bootleg Hogan and Studd (Wrestling Champs) somewhere between 1988 and 1990. Even if I'd gotten Hasbros in 1990 I wouldn't have got anything but Series 1, the ring and Tag Team Series 1: that's all we got in Belgium.
Anyway, those Hasbros fascinated me and they still did in 1997 when I first had internet. First thing I did on the internet was searching for wrestling figures on Altavista (pre-Google days!), picture heaven: LJN WWF, Hasbro WWF, Galoob WCW, OSFTM WCW! Plucked pics of Hasbro WWF Series 1 off the web, printed them and went to my local toystore: yes, they still had some and the ring in storage! While I never completed a full Hasbro set, I do have figs from every series and some mail-away Hogans.
These are still fun in 2018, otherwise Mattel wouldn't put out Retros!

Listing the arena figures is nearly impossible and they're essentially bootlegs. Official Mexican figures are easier to list. I know you are right, I just wanted him to know what he would see when doing research. Not being from there, I know little of what is official or not on obscurities. That Mexican might be able to do so, but there are 100s of arena figures.

This is a long shot, and not quite an easy find, but there is a guy in Mexico, the name is escaping me currently, who has tried to collect as much lucha stuff as possible, with hopes to open a museum. He is featured in the Lucha series on Netflix. I wasn't going to post this, but I figured sometimes a quest for information has to go outside of the interwebs, and he would be a good source. I think there have been a few members who have compiled the variants/regular figures of the CMLL, AAA, Lucha Libre USA lines. There are the old CMLL plush dolls, a new series of plush dolls, and trading cards. There are candles, piggy banks, arena figures, and other misc. items of unknown officialness (arena figures are all customs). I hope that helps a little.... VPV Listing the arena figures is nearly impossible and they're essentially bootlegs. Official Mexican figures are easier to list.

Antonio Inoki (regarded a foreigner back then) Dr. X / Killer X (not sure if it was Dick Beyer) Rikidözan (foreigner; korean) Sakaguchi Seiji Shohei Baba (Giant Baba) Yoshimura Michiaki,
