Who are some names that were under contract before your time that you wish you would have gotten a shot at? Any attire changes you would had made if you were around for them? One Man Gang for sure as I’ve mentioned before. I’d LOVE to make Ultimates of LOD and Demolition.

Is there any chance of an Ultimate Edition Chyna figure? I know her last 2 Elites don't seem to be flying of the shelves (😞) - but I really think she is worthy of having an UE figure... Maybe something like this with removable soft-goods gear (and black gear underneath) plus an extra head would be great! We almost had her as an Ultimate on two occasions but things didn’t pan out. So she’s a contender that’ll hopefully come to fruition at some point.

Apologies that this is a tad off typical topic but are you at all familiar with the MWFP Super7 figures? Do you own them by chance? They recently posted a convo they had with Brian Flynn from Super7 to address the huge jump in price for their upcoming series 2. Would you find an interview like that interesting or is that too similar to a work conversation and not something you’d spend your personal time listening to? If you did listen are there any interesting takeaways from it from your perspective? I do own the Major figs and quite a lot of Super7’s figures. Brian’s a great guy and incredibly generous with sharing deep insights when he does interviews. I always check out interviews with him or anyone in the industry, especially if I admire their work or company. Interviews like this helped me get off to a strong start when I joined Mattel years ago as it helped build a strong foundation of knowledge on not only the behind the scenes processes but the psychological approach of building an appealing toy line. It’s one of the reasons I’m so active in communication. Maybe it’ll help in some small way to bring in the next generation of Steves, Bills, Brians and Jeremeys.

Ricochet has been wrestling through out Covid and even now as Intercontinental Champion. What are the chances of seeing an Elite Ricochet with kickpads at SDCC? Also, what are the chances of seeing Nakamura's new kickpad look? (Its the closest we get to a NJPW Nakamura) When it comes time to revisit both those Superstars in the line I’m sure those looks will be top contenders.

Hey Steve, Not sure if you're into the GI Joe Classified Series line, but the HISS Tank HasLab is selling like gangbusters. Is there any concerns/worry that other crowdsourcing efforts getting out first will impact the chances of a successful WWE project? After the HISS, I'd rather not have to choose between the Marvel Legends and the WWE projects, but financially speaking only one is (potentially) viable. I know the scope and price is different, but is funding installments still not an option? Some companies will take a deposit and then as the figure gets closer to arrival, buyers pay a monthly breakdown to complete the purchase. I'm sure one concern is being stuck with a bunch of cancellations although I think (in my wrestling business figure expertise - ha!) that the New Gen ring cancelled orders could be sold at a higher price for newcomers? Sorry for the way longer than intended question. Love the classified line. So stoked to be finally getting six inch scale Joes. Also loving seeing crowdfunds evolves rapidly and reacting to learnings from other brands and companies. This is all still relatively new to toy companies and collectors so it’s great to see improvements and tweaks to the approach. Totally aware that consumers are going to have to decide where their dollars go. I don’t think a payment plan would be possible at this time based on the credit card processing limitations but who knows how that would evolve over time. In the mean time, some backers used an app that lets one pay in interest free installments and that seemed to be very helpful. There’s also the old traditional credit card approach.

Do we know if the set will be packaged with all the figures? I know we've seen those package mock-ups for Diesel and Doink - but as he has so few accessories, I'm wondering if they'll pack Diesel in with the ring and entrance (like you see with Basic rings/sets - and that HOF ring with the Elite Dusty). Then pack Doink separately in an UE box (like Macho). 🤔 Doink and Diesel have their own individual Ultimate packages which are housed inside the larger New Gen packaging. Randy is in his own Ultimate box inside of a brown shipper.

They’re complete and on the water. Thanks for the update. Do that get shipped to the US and then to customers worldwide? Just curious. They’re traveling from China to the US via boat. After arriving at the dock and being processed they’ll be transported to the Mattel Creations distribution center. Then they’ll begin processing orders and getting them out to all backers.

Steve measured it in a stream once, it's about 16.5 inches tall. Pretty huge. There you go. Thanks for chiming in.

Just noticed Jimmy uso has jey Picture on the back and also bottom right on the front lol It’s a very weird thing. It’s a Jey figure with the hair modded to be super long at the back. I’d love to know the real story behind it. Neither Uso has ever had hair like the figure. The front of the head is clearly based on Jey’s hair in 2020/2021, but the long hair at the back is based on Jimmy since he returned. And they have Jey pictured on the box with Jimmy’s name. I hope Bill or Steve explains what happened here one day. It’s Jimmy from SummerSlam 2021. Hair was sculpted to attempt to mirror his entrance with some hair hanging down the front. Head sculpt is a brand new sculpt of Jimmy, not a Jey sculpt. Jey already appeared earlier in the year so no new work on a Jey was done to use that sculpt as some have suggested. Packaging image on the back is an error unfortunately. If some don’t like the sculpt then so be it. We’ll try again with a new sculpt next time.

I absolutely personally want each major Hulk shirt released without the velcrIt won’t be on this upcoming figure though. Can you look at the bandana's from those era's too Steve? Hulk Rules bandana Summerslam 90. Python Power from early 1991. Hulkster from Summerslam 91 til WM8. And the Hulk Hogan vest with the Stars and stripes between the names from WM8 Of course. Bandanas to match the eras of the shirts.

Doing this opens up the door for a lot of cool upgrades. Hoping it sells as well as the positive reactions indicate. CAn it continue to focus more on these ones like JAKE that had terrible releases, rather than those that were released 10 years ago but were plentiful at the time. Royal Rumble 2020 Macho and Lita, King Harley /Commissioner Shawn Michaels series, some of the decade of domination ones come to mind The strategy is going to stay the same with a mix of older viable looks plus figures that may have been harder to find in their first runs. There’s a constant flow of collectors getting in and out of the hobby so just because a figure was plentiful at one time doesn’t mean it’s fairly accessible now. Making those older looks available again let's new collectors easily get into the hobby thus making the line healthier allowing us to do even more and push the limits. The upgrades let existing collectors add a better versions of the figure to their collections if they choose.

Do you ever watch WWE and see guys come out in new awesome attires (Usos at MITB for example) and your immediate reaction is something along the lines of “dammit we just made the USOs?” Those bloodline attires are amazing! Of course. I was here at the show and texting Bill B, Bill M and Rob similar thoughts. Never hurts to have tons of great source material to choose from though.

Hi Steve, not sure if you can answer this or not but there seems to be some sort of distribution issue in Australia. We only received half of elite 92 (flair, fiend and adam cole) while no sign of the other 3 at retail, we have now started receiving elite 93 and only have 4 of the 6 (no cesaro or racquel) any ideas why this could be? Looks like they took cases with those talent excluded unfortunately. I’m working with the Mattel Creations team to make available as much as possible to help fill in the gaps.

Would a street gear nwo 2002 return elite 3 pack be likely as a Walmart exclusive in the ruthless aggression line kinda like how then now forever line had them There won’t be 3 packs in the RA line but we will be doing something else aside from the single figs. Doesn’t rule out street gear WWE/nWo figs somewhere though.

Action Figure Attack thank you again for the elite Luger. That was one of my biggest wants. Any word about an elite or Ultimate jeans DDP? Would this figure warrant a new headscan (serious) if it comes to fruition? What about a WCW black singlet Bret? Both are strong candidates. DDP is definitely due for a new headsculpt.

We chose figures that had some collector demand from the past, some Design favorites, and figures that could benefit from True FX and double jointed elbow upgrades. I’m glad the Jake is getting re-released. Never saw that wave at Walmart and wasn’t willing to pay the inflated eBay prices. One of my favorite Snake attires! Doing this opens up the door for a lot of cool upgrades. Hoping it sells as well as the positive reactions indicate.

No hints but the reveal will be worth the wait for most collectors. Hi Steve! Can you share the reveal date? Thanks! No can do. The SDCC reveals are PR’s show. Once they announce their overall Mattel SDCC exclusive plans I’ll be more free to talk about things.

Hey Steve what are the chances Bret and Stone Cold being in a future WWE Superstars wave? I know we got them in the MotWWEU line. But that set never hit my WalMarts. Plus Bret needs an actual singlet top and I don’t want cybernetic arms on Austin. Thanks and have a safe and happy 4th. Most likely. Bret especially would make for a great Superstars figure with soft goods entrance jacket.

Hi Steve, I have a question about The Elite Greatest Hits series: What are the parameters for deciding which figure (and attire) can be included? We chose figures that had some collector demand from the past, some Design favorites, and figures that could benefit from True FX and double jointed elbow upgrades.
