Am I there only one who wishes MOC was still accurate? I’m in my mid 40’s and fondly remember the 1980’s boom period of action figures- when they were clearly displayed on bubbled cardbacks. I still get into when Star Wars and Marvel Legends do their figures on these throwback styles, even if it’s mostly rereleases. When/why did boxing action figures become the norm? Carded looks much better in package in my opinion. In 2020 companies started announcing they would be scaling back their use of plastics in packaging. The issues were not all the plastics were recyclable, and the ones that were weren't being recycled. Cardboard is a more sustainable alternative. Personally, I will take the smaller windows on packaging if more of the packaging is recyclable, but I understand not everyone is willing to make that compromise. I'm a OOB collector though so it rarely matter as an end result for me. I just hope we don't see wrestling figures get the D&D treatment where there was no window at all. There is enough issues of people repackaging in my area as it is, I wouldn't want it made any easier for them. I always use MOC as a catch-all and out of habit. But, not gonna lie, I miss the cards sometimes. The Coliseum Collection is so beautiful in the presentation, it’s BOTH MOC and MIB, and rather one is MIB or MOC, I think we can all agree the presentation with those is TOP notch. Hopefully next month we see a Macho/Honky CC bundle for the Christmas set of them.

Survivor Series 87. Bigelow was left alone against 3 giants at the time, beating Bundy and OMG before losing to Andre. To child-me, and even now having recently rewatched it (with nostalgia eyes, I’m sure), it was a star-making performance. Bam Bam had power, speed, agility and presence! Bam Bam had a really solid stretch in 93 with some great matches against Bret and Razor. But in the Big 4 PPV era, there weren't a ton of opportunities for long spotlight matches. He had another really good run in ECW with a super memorable match against Taz, but probably around the period where the product was still largely only hot in the Northeast. Incredibly talented big man, but it seemed like he was constantly in the wrong promotion by probably 2-3 years. I really hoping Mattel makes an Ultimate with his purple/blue flame attire soon. By that time ECW was syndicated nationwide and real ones knew…they had expanded West of the Mississippi amd were holding sold out shows in the smaller venues in cities pretty far away from their home base area.

I'll take all the MIB figures and Faux MOC em just so I don't have to keep bringing up Men in Black when talking about figures. I don't get what that series of films has to do with wrestling figures. See this little metal think in my hand? I'm going to need you to keep your eyes on it for a minute...*flash*

42 (MEANING OF LIFE!...if you get that you're my kinda people) Anyway, I'm only collecting Legends and throwback themed characters and attires from pre Mattel...I'm collecting every Comic Marvel Legends, Every GI Joe Classified from '82-'89, Collecting Comics and sports cards, and have a bunch of other expenses, I can't buy current. Plus, I'm not buying every rerelease in the Greatest Hits line or vault, just because of an extra Elbow Joint...

That has me hyped if it's a 1992 Rumble Hogan. Isn't RR92 Hogan the exact same attire as WM8 Hogan? Isn't that the figure that is coming out in the next legends wave? Oh, for whatever reason I thought maybe he had started hawking a new T by Mania. Or maybe he was wearing Python Power…wait, 91 was he rocking Python Power?

While I completely agree the collector in me can't help but be bitter all these names are getting done by other companies, I personally only have interest in Mattel elite or ultimate style figures and powertown ultras because they're close enough. Im glad the talent are making their money and I'm glad fans are getting what they want, I just wish WWE would let everyone win instead of locking names up for themselves I hear you, although i did grow up with Hasbro and LJN's, I'm just not interested in collecting them today. It's gotta be Elite style for me too. Mattel or Powertown is it for me, as Jazwares doesn't make anyone from my collecting niche What...you don't like all the throwback Mid Bucks they make?

Unless he appeared in one in the 2000s, which I don't remember him doing, then yes, 1992 was the last rumble match he actually wrestled in. Correct. 92 was the last time Hogan was in a Rumble. That has me hyped if it's a 1992 Rumble Hogan.

We’re from the same region and share rooting interests in a lot of teams and a lot of the same music (I used to see him at metal shows ALL THE TIME back in the early 2000s, in fact one of the times we talked I wanna say was a Slayer show) Miz loved him some terrible buttrock bands. Taproot, SOAD, etc So did I around that time...but I ALSO liked all the extreme crap, the thrash, and the death (never was BIG in Black Metal) like Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Exodus, Kreator, Testament, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Sepultura (Both Max and Derrick), Death, Anthrax, Megadeth, Suffocation, Hypocrisy, Entombed, Vital Remains, Deicide, SFU (Yes, despite Barnes crapty destroyed vocals and craptier attitude), Immolation, Dying Fetus. Miz was at THOSE shows too...but yeah, bands like SOAD and Deftones and Disturbed were the three bands that actually came out of that whole time period with their respect in tact. I guess I like Korn too...but...and I regret nothing looking at the CDs I bought from 1998-2003, because, why should I? Also, look at Coal Chamber, one of my favorite guilty pleasures, they birthed an amazing band when they initially brokeup in DevilDriver. Also, Sevendust were, are and will be awesome.

I totally agree with this, and I won't buy it (I only buy pre 2009 attires and Legend themed figures) but he deserves an Ultimate, especially because he can wear some really toyetic, elaborate attires. Also, I gained SO MUCH respect for him over the last 15 years (had a chance to sit and talk to him a couple times by chance, and he is a nice guy, deserves to be where he is because he put the work in) YOU FOR MEETING HIM AND I HAVEN’T! Thank you for agreeing and the kind words towards him We’re from the same region and share rooting interests in a lot of teams and a lot of the same music (I used to see him at metal shows ALL THE TIME back in the early 2000s, in fact one of the times we talked I wanna say was a Slayer show)

Cody deserves a job for it that was cringe To think that Cody was the face of change and disruption in the wrestling industry 5 years ago today, and now he's just the ultimate bootlicker maintaining the status quo.... nasty business. Doesn't undo that him and the Bucks created the American indie boom that led to AEW's creation, and the AEW fans trying to downplay his importance are embarrassing. More than we can say for the muffin man who didn't lift a finger to break up the WWE's monopoly whilst complaining the loudest. But I digress 😆 Why are you in a Mattel WWE thread complaining like a butthurt AEW Fanboi? You know who you kind of remind me of? CM Showstopper…

I walked into my nearest Walmart and asked the employee if he had the newest Cody Rhodes and he said “I’m sick of being asked about the Cody Rhodes action figures! We don’t have any! Please buy all these jabroni Hulk Hogan figures!” Are you going to call off work and buy snacks for the next reveals? Or how about ditch your girlfriend and the romantic vacation you had planned? And did the last DM Cody in your buddy’s shop cause an intense bidding war that went into the several hundred dollar range?
