Roman wins again.....yawn. Braun beat Roman at Payback and Great Balls Of Fire. That pretty much sums up Reigns haters. They have it engraved in their mind that Roman always wins even though he's lost cleanly multiple times in the last few months. Even ones that weren't totally clean that put the guy over, like when Joe choked him out after a distraction. |

I feel the business model is different now than it used to be. In the 90's if you went to a show, you were going to see Austin. They could've had monkeys dancing in the ring for the entire show and you wouldn't care. You were there to see Stone Cold. Same for Hogan's WWF Era and WCW era.
But now it's different. You don't go to just see ONE guy anymore. It's not the wrestlers fault, it's the over saturation of wrestling. There's way too much, and there way more variety and different wrestlers people relate too. Its not really a bad thing, just the reason IMO there's not huge singular full time draws any more.
The closest thing they have is Reigns and Styles. I'd say Cena but he's pretty much part time now.
It's so different now. Reigns and Styles wrestle almost every single week. Even during Austin and Hogan's runs they weren't wrestling 15 minute matches EVERY SINGLE WEEK. It's hard to be a PPV draw when you're available to the audience every week.

I don't care how many times they do shake ups, roster moves, etc, as long as when your on Raw you are strictly Raw, and when you're on smackdown, you are strictly Smackdown. Cena as a free agent is the first major crack of the brand split.

That's the most amazing/sad part about these matches. You're hard pressed to find anyone who would call any of the three better than "adequate", and the single highlight has nothing to do with the match itself, but rather, Randy Orton nearly killing a Singh brother. Imagine how people would be viewing these matches if one, or both of the "little guys" (who aren't even in the match!) weren't taking potentially unsafe bumps. A big gimmick match that hasn't been around in ten years wasn't even enough to make Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton compelling. They still needed to go with a Singh spot. the fact that they haven't had Jinder win a title match without "help" says a LOT the fact they had to  ing bring back The Great Khali says even more.......... That's the total idea of his character right now. He can't win a match his own. He's not a great wrestler. He's a cheating coward heel. It's classic booking. People might not like it but WWE has a clear plan for how they want to book Jinder. I think he holds the title longer than anyone expected. Reminds of HHH Evolution run a little. Will be oh so sweet when he gets beat but they've got to keep building it. |

I liked what the match did. Got Rusev back in a big match without eating a pin, makes Cena look like an American hero going into his feud with the America hating Mahal.

Triple H and Steph rigged this whole Jordan thing to get in Angle's head. Angle will step down as GM to make up for lost time with his new found son. Jordan turns the second HHH is instated as the new Raw GM.
At least I hope. Idk how they get there, but the end game here has to be Jordan is lying. You cannot live down that storyline.

Im assuming you mean the side plate for the figure belts? I dont see that happening. Seems like they are awful small plus to match the titles they'd need to have that gold plating done which costs money. Yes, the WWE title and Universal side plates. I was thinking they'd only come with elites, and most elite WWE championships have the same metallic coat. They def wouldn't cost more than the lame backdrops they've been doing. But like the person above me said the easiest and most reasonable way to expect these would be exclusive figures with the exclusive belt. Like the TRU Elite Mania 32 Reigns could of had his side plates instead of the normal. Or the new Summer Slam Balor having his plates would be nice. I think it would add an extra special touch on exclusives. |
