I'd love more Legends in the main line... the UK doesn't get the (Target exclusive) Legends line, so we have to pay about double (or more!) for them. I used to buy all Legends/Flashback figures, but have to be more picky these days.

Are people presuming the singlet is red because that's what he wore with those kneepads and boots? I'm not sure the trunks underneath make any difference... they've got to be some colour(!), so may as well make them red, white, or blue.

If it is indeed 2 separate Ali figures (boxing gear and ref gear), I wonder if it's a one-shot deal for Mattel? I would have thought it would make far more sense (business-wise) to just release one figure, then the other down the road...
I'd love a (ref gear) Ali Retro too.

He probably did but they dismissed the trial. You all canβt be one way with him but look the other way with other issues with people like Lex Luger, Chyna, Jeff Hardy, Stone Cold, Eddie Guerrero and countless others who have done horrible things. Thereβs one person on wresting that shouldnβt get a figure and we all know who that is. I would still buy his figure though. I know Iβm not the only one None of these people are killers Didn't Scott Hall kill someone though? I think that was the reason why many thought Mattel would never make a figure of him... (*hope that doesn't sound disrespectful... I didn't mean it to be) |

Got my 2 sets today. Pretty disappointed they would ship them in the brown shipper box considering the 4 pack comes with an exclusive box. Yeah, they did this with the NWO Retros too - I think they should give us the option of paying a few extra bucks to have things like this (with shipping boxes) shipped inside another box for added protection... |

Yep,looks like I might be receiving my Spidey 3 packs and my DM Codys and HBKs tomorrow. Don't know which I'm more excited for For myself definitely the 4 pack and extra HBK, it will be a nice present after work lol That spiderman set was a hard pass for me. $30 a pop, no substantial accessories, no civilian heads, and no special packaging. It was easy for me to say no. Had it came with civilian heads, definite buy here. You compare what that RAW 3 pack came with for $65, then you look that this 3 pack for $90, and its like, wtf? It's a crying shame the packaging doesn't even have a plastic window, showing the figures (like the RAW 3-pack). For the price - and it being an exclusive - I was really hoping they'd make an exception π. |

Soooooo... sounds as though it's going to be UE Ali - in boxing gear with robe and referee gear (ie. cloth shirt and pants)? That would be pretty awesome, IMHO.

so are mattel just never making the hasbro/retro rings again? considering the time frame of the nwo figures and some of the other recent figures, a wcw or wwe attitude/new gen ring could be cool... Steve answered this in the Q&A at least once -- it was a "we'll see" answer. The response to recent waves hasn't been that great -- I am guessing Wave 3 didn't sell that well, so I doubt it UNLESS it's an RSC exclusive. But that seems like a big risk for them.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case, actually... that set seemed to cater just (or mainly) to the hardcore Hasbro collectors, rather than Retro/WWE collectors as a whole. Thankfully they seem to be back on track with Series 4...π |

Still waiting on a WCW Cactus Jack & Vader UE 2 pack 4 faces of foley ue 4 pack I'm not greedy... I'd settle for a Faces Of Foley UE 3 pack π€. It seems so strange that quite a few guys have multiple UE figures... yet the Micker - with at least 4 genuinely different looks/characters - hasn't even had one(?). Makes me wonder if they are actually saving him for an UE Faces Of Foley set... |

As pointed out, GI Joe - like Star Wars - is far better suited for these types of things... there are loads of vehicles and playsets to draw from - and vehicles are a big part of the overall line(s).
Conversely, with wrestling you only really need a ring for your figures... and that's pretty much it. And even then, I've seen some huge collections that don't even bother with a ring, and just focus on the figures. At the end of the day, the Nitro stage was not something the majority of collectors wanted.

It probably will be a figure most of you don't want anyways Nobody wants an Ali. Well, majority of people wonβt anyway. Disagree. He may not be a figure many people were asking for - but he'll be one of those figures that a lot of people will want, once they see it. Especially Golden Age collectors. I can see him having the same sort of figurs Mr T had: SDCC figure (boxing gear); Retro, Superstars, Elite 2-pk figures (ref gear), possible UE figure... |

I think the only difference is the pinless arms... other than that, they're identical.
Anyone know if the box/packaging is the same on these re-released UE figures? Do they say "Best Of..." or anything?
