Not sure where that's from... but isn't it kind of false advertising? I know it says "to back the stage" - but I imagine a lot of people will look at that and think they're getting everything (ie. the ring) too... š¬ Collectors: āYou should show it with the ring!!!!ā Me: āOk, here it is!ā Other collectors: āThis is false advertising.ā Good times. š¤ Apologies, Steve... I didn't know what/where this was from. I just thought that there could legitimately be confusion to new/potential backers because it doesn't say something like "ring not included" anywhere (...the post after mine kind of illustrated the point...) - It didn't dawn on me until reading this that the ring didn't come with it. There's nothing in the campaign dialogue that would imply the ring comes with it, so the fault is all mine. I guess I just assumed since the New Gen entrance had a ring and a figure at $250 this came with a ring, too. $260 ($400-$140 for Attitude Era ring) for the entrance and two figures does seem a bit steep. I'm not a WCW guy, so YMMV. All that being said, I hope it gets funded for those who want it and it allows Mattel to keep coming up with wild stuff like this.

Defining Moments Mankind has been one of my most wanted Mattel figures since the DM line relaunched (in 2014/2015). Having said that though, I've gotta say the figure looks... pretty average to poor, to be honest š - Those double-jointed elbows look awful... and what's with the "you can't see me" John Cena hands!? WTF. On the plus-side though, the new head is great... but on the whole, the figure looks very "Jakksie" (to quote MDT on YouTube).

How many more nWo Hogans can they makeā¦good Lord. More. The answer is more. Heck yes. I mean... aside from the Retro and Superstars figures, there's only actually been 2 Elites (both exclusive) and 1 Ultimate, so it's not as if there have been loads(?). And none of them had the tan...

I really hope the Shield gear Seth wins that poll... I like the UE's to represent different eras and we already have this UE for a great modern/'22 Seth.

This is performing way worse than new gen at this point in time when you compare. Itās also radically more expensive, youāre getting less for your money, and theyāve totally killed the ability for international buyers. This thing will 100% get less backers than the new gen did. So you can immediately kiss everything past DDP goodbye. Itās actually shocking how badly mattel have fumbled this and really they owe an apology to international buyers for scamming them.Just a price breakdown/explanation would do... it really isn't much to ask. š¤·āāļø (They should apologise to international buyers for the Mattel Creations website as a whole, charging people import tax/fees - even when the order/item is well under the US to UK threshold).

Hear me out. Mick Foley ultimate, Dude Love tights, swappable arms (one with the heart one without) Soft goods tie-dye shirt, soft goods mankind shirt, soft goods cactus jacket shirt, 3 heads (open mouth, smirk puckered lips) and a mankind mask...that would truly be an ultimate Ultimate figure... Probably too expensive for a standard Ultimate though š. I admire your creativity! Personally though, I'd prefer them as separate figures... You could definitely do a 2-in-1 for Mankind though, to cover two main looks: - UE figure in all-brown gear (w/black boots) - cloth white shirt - swappable arms (with & without wrist-tape) - Mr Socko - World title belt - 3 different heads If the cloth shirt was too expensive - or didn't look good - you could have a swappable white plastic one, with swappable white-sleeved arms instead.

hopefully we get Stiener and DDP down the road. would love them as UE. I believe Steve said in the podcast tonight that these figures are exclusive to this stage offering and they wonāt be produced if the stage fails. I think he just means the figures in these attires as Ultimate Editions. To be honest though, it's not really a big deal... there'll most likely be another (better) UE Steiner and DDP. And the others can easily be done as Elites, RSC exclusives or even Defining Moments figures (Warrior).

Hey everybody, my buddy that owns his own toy shop was at a toy show in minnestoa this weekend and he texted me some things I think you guys may find interesting. Of course my buddy isn't 100 percent on his predictions but he has been right in the past on such things as Luger being in the legends line and Ringside doing a WCW ring. Here are the tidbits, He expects renders of the Monday Night War Ultimates of Piper and Bret Hart to be shown at comic con.Two more Ultimates in that line are scheduled to be Hollywood Rules Hollywood Hogan with the tan and possible new torso and Black Jacket Raw Vince McMahon. Some guys to keep a lookout for in the legends line, Debut Hulk Hogan with the cape, Fit Finley, King Kong Bundy, Bruno, The Natural Diasters and Honky Tonk Man. He thinks there will be some surprise mid card guys in the monday night war line with Billy Kidman being one name he's hearing. Multiple Big Poppa Pumps coming.Ā ...Buddy's really going out on a limb here! š¤

Forgive my naivety. But if I bought a WCW Nitro entrance for someone outside the US. What legal charges are there to get it to said place? Has anyone investigated that? I get the sense that Steve would love it to work for you, just as he would love for Walmart not to cancel, legends to be signed or this campaign to work but as the messenger he has to deal with variables that I'm not sure any of us understand. At least I don't. I guess, I fail to understand that if someone say in England pays $400.00 American dollars plus American tax to me and I buy it for my cost ... how much would it legally cost to get it to you if I didn't charge a penny for my efforts? You'll pay whatever the postage cost is. Then when the person on the other side receives it (we'll say the UK for argument sake), they will be hit with a customs fee of 20% of the TOTAL cost (product + shipping combined cost). They'll usually have to pay a small admin fee of Ā£5 perhaps for the postal service or Revenue having to tell them there's a customs charge. The reality is, if you offered to buy it for me, and ship it to me, I'd save very little. The international issue has been way overblown by people. Anyone who has tried to figure out a different way to get this has seen that, too. The only way you could save anything of worth, is if you were to under-value it on the postal declaration and say it only cost like, $100 or something like that. Then you'd save a few Ā£/ā¬ as the customs fee would be lower, but that involves cheating the system a bit (which I'd happily do, but you can't expect Mattel to do it).
With respect, I don't think it has... whatever way you look at it, we're being overcharged - plus we have to pay the import fees now/up-front ( and there's no payment plans to soften the blow). The really obvious and easy solution is to just charge international/UK people the cost price ($400), plus the shipping to their country - no upfront import fees... no hidden costs... Simple (it's how they did it last time with the New Gen set too). For whatever reason though, Mattel seem reluctant to do this. š¤·āāļø

Do these re releases actually hurt the value of the original? I mean if you had the original Harley Race, why would you sell it off to get the new one? You would think the OG would always hold its value. It depends - if you're a MOC/MIB collector, I think the original would hold it's value. If you're a loose collector, I suppose it depends how fussy you are... ie. do you just want the figure or do you want the original figure(?)

I love the entrance - the whole thing. Sad, it has stalled. Appreciate the efforts to add Steiner upfront ... hoping Mattel has one more trick up their sleeves. Only thing they could feasibly do is stop scamming international buyers but apparently thereās 0 interest in that "We've listened to our great international fans regarding the WCW Nitro Stage and have a very special announcement... Nothing is changing! That's right - along with the surcharge shipping plus standard shipping, you'll still get to pay ALL import fees upfront... still with NO payment plans! And don't forget, if you join us in backing the stage today, you are STILL guaranteed the special Ā£30-Ā£50 surprise "mystery charge"! We hope you'll enjoy these exciting non-changes"š¤

Anyone think that if the warrior here doesnāt get unlocked, we could see it in the returning Defining Moments line exclusive to a ringside? I know it would be an elite, but still the figure is fantastic, in my opinion. That duster is incredible! Iād just make it a regular elite release. Warrior never really had any ādefining momentsā in WCW and I remember hearing somewhere they wanted to stick to actual defining moments for the line this time around. It could be argued that his WCW/Nitro debut was a defining moment though - especially from his later years.

Hey Steve - how come the Micker hasn't had an Ultimate Edition figure yet? After the last reveals and all the various sub-lines, I was sure we'd see a Mankind, Dude Love, or Cactus Jack UE somewhere (especially as some guys are on their 2nd or 3rd UE figure...) š„ŗ

^ I'd like a black or white jumpsuit HTM... if he's in the Coliseum Collection, I REALLY hope they don't go with the same gear as the original figure because that was mainly blue - and the last HTM we had was blue (the Retrofest one).

Homie said if this thing doesn't get made we should all stop being collectors. I can afford it, I know Pants can afford it, so what about us who aren't going to back it because we don't think it's worth it? Your money, your decision on how to spend or save it. Once you decide to spend or save the money is where it ends in my mind. Things are only worth what someone is willing to spend for it regardless of the price tag. Suck it up and pay more than youād like for an item because you want it bad enough and you canāt get it any other way, or keep your money and live with the decision. If I could afford a Lamborghini, I wouldnāt buy one because I donāt think itās worth the cost based, but if some lucky day I could get one for the price of a Hyundai best believe I would in a blinkā¦ but I also wouldnāt complain about the price of a Lamborghini should that magical day never happen. Granted there are other variables to this crowdfunding project that make the choice less straight forward due to how it impacts future projects being made or not. If you can afford to back it and want anything included in the 5000 minimum tier or non of it, but you want the Raw set to be made you should back it. Then either be willing to do the extra leg work of selling off the rest to recoup some of the expense or keep stuff you wouldnāt normally buy because it will result in getting something you do want and wouldnāt be possible otherwise. If you can afford it and only want the higher tier figures and the Raw stage you should back it and also decide to keep the rest or sell items off. If you donāt give a crap about the Raw stage and can afford to back this but donāt want to spend the money despite any level of interest no matter the tier it reaches donāt back it. If you can afford to pay the price up front and donāt want to keep the rest or the hassle of selling the rest to get the figure you want thatās your choice and live with it and keep complaints to yourself. If you are an international buyer same things applies if you can afford it outright, regardless of the overcharges. Up to you to decide what itās all worth to you monetarily. If you are an international buyer and want it all or just parts of it but canāt manage the full cost outright but fits your budget with a payment plan, complain away cause that sucks and Mattel should do better if they want to be a global company. I believe Klarna started in Sweden, not to mention all the other similar installment based pay apps or whatever you call them. If Mattel isnāt offering because the one offered to Americans doesnāt operate internationally poor form on Mattel for not doing the extra work to contract one that does work anywhere the will ship. If the one available to us is used anywhere else and just isnāt an option thatās even crappier of them. If you can afford the cost that American backers have to pay in full and then pay for the shipping once itās received from some middle man in America, and customs on delivery per usual you have three weeks to do some leg work on WFigs and send money via something like PayPal that offers some protection if the person doesnāt ship, or go on trust in the reputation of either myself or other members here that have offered to do the extra work of receiving and shipping something to a fellow collector but donāt live with it. If you like any part of something, but not enough to pay the price is part of life when spending money, and everythingās worth is subjective. Bottom line if you can afford it despite the cost but donāt think itās worth it, and no amount of complaining will get it to a price you find worth payingā¦ so grow up instead of being that kid throwing a tantrum on the floor of the toy aisle. Basically... if you want it and can afford it - and think it's worth it - then back it. š
