Yeah... they should definitely give this guy the next title shot instead of Stipe. Draaago!! He lost to Curtis Blaydes but KOd Alistair Overeem to send him packing from the UFC. Hard to believe Pavlovich's only loss was to Overeem though. This is the real Drago though: I think we can move past the Overeem loss... it was in his UFC debut, nearly 4 and a half years ago. Since then, there's been 6 first round KO's in his last 6 fights - "Whatever he hits... he destroys!" |

Anyone think that if the warrior here doesn’t get unlocked, we could see it in the returning Defining Moments line exclusive to a ringside? I know it would be an elite, but still the figure is fantastic, in my opinion. That duster is incredible! I think he'd definitely get made in the future... either as an UE, DM or Elite. Same with Hogan. |

Couple of good fights tonight. Pavlovich KO'ed Blaydes in the 1st. Curtis came out looking like he improved his striking and wanted to show it but Pavlovich has a chin on him. Lots of power too. Yeah... they should definitely give this guy the next title shot instead of Stipe. Draaago!! |

My fear of this is if it doesn't reach it's goal, that they will never do a crowdfund or future playsets. I know both Bill and Steve said if the New Generation crowdfund wasn't successful there wasn't going to be another one. For me it's simple, either support or don't. We'll see what happens in 15 days. Personally, I wouldn't really mind. But it would suck for those who like this sort of thing. At the end of the day though, if the market's not there for them, then the market's not there - and if this thing fails to get backed, it proves there's just not enough interest. I do think with the way Mattel have fudged this up though, they should at least try one more time with something around or under the $300 mark. |

You really dont seem to understand what tribalism is. However if you truly believe there are just thousands more people who love WCW and are just chomping at the bit to get this and for some reason just haven't done it in the month plus they've had the opportunity and are waiting till the final day to back it. Then I guess we'll find out how true that is in 15 days, but butts to nuts, the numbers don't lie and they lean towards one of our stances. I don’t think you’re completely wrong or anything close, especially in the sense that there aren’t millions of WCW fans waiting to back or etc. however that being said, I still price and size are bigger impediments. In fact, I’ll go a step further: Probably a controversial opinion, but I think a Raw is War stage at the same or higher price point with the same type of figure tier layout would also be struggling to be funded.I think you could be right - especially as, outside of an UE Mankind, I can't think of many figures they could include that would really get the juices going... |

New Gen price was better but it wasn’t really a package people were sold on. It had a lot of factors working against it. - Not everyone wanted another ring. We weren’t that far removed from the Raw and SD Main Event rings or WCT ASRs that a lot of us already had in our collection. Finding a spot for another ring felt more of a hindrance.
- Nostalgia just wasn’t there. New Gen was a really low point for WWF where a lot of people from the Golden Age started checking out
- Diesel was very underwhelming
- Tiers were kinda underwhelming as well. Doink was toyetic but not really a must have and skirts were kind of a “cool if we get it but not gonna be upset if we don’t” item
- The WW block logo is a big eyesore for many and with it being so prominent on the entrance and the ring it was impossible to ignore
- Nothing about the whole set prior to Macho being added felt like a must have
I did find the hype around Doink kind of funny... he was never mentioned once in people's previous UE wants/wish-lists - but suddenly became this must-have figure(?). I said at the time: if he was announced/released as part of the regular UE line or something, there'd have probably been an uproar, lol. |

If this gets funded - just think of all the cool stuff that could come once the tooling for this type of thing could be established, just thinking about smackdown fist and other awesome stuff (maybe iconic ppv sets and stuff too?) that's the biggest problem I have with the people actively rooting for this to fail... I'm not saying anyone should listen to me for what to do with their money...however, I don't think people grasp what kind of impact this can have on future products...But, so be it...I have lost almost all confidence that this gets backed at this point I hate to be that guy - but if this doesn't get funded, then maybe it just shows enough people aren't that interested/into big stages and the like - so it's not really going to matter about future crowdfunding projects. |

I’m the only one I see bringing up how the New Gen Arena went and I’m doing so in response to the people who keep saying this is hopeless. The previous crowdfund campaign followed the same trend as this one and funded on the last day. I’m tired of the constant “This project is dead” talk because I had to listen to the same thing last time and it funded. So to say the same thing about this one is premature based on history. That was my entire point And for the record, I’m not backing this because I can’t afford it. I’m merely trying to counter the negativity of people constantly saying it’s a bust when it’s not over yet. Because I want this thing to succeed, even though I’m not backing it. And I’m not criticizing people who choose not to or are unable to back. BECAUSE I AM ONE OF THEM. Dude, my post was not about you. There are plenty of other people saying the same thing. So no need to assure me that you can afford it. But to my point, you are not interested in it, as I also stated above. Weird that out of all possible reasons I listed you singled out “can't afford it” But since you did assume and reply,…. To say that you’re not backing it but yet you want it to succeed is contradicting and makes your point invalid....not really: just because someone isn't backing it, it doesn't mean they don't want it to succeed. |
