I'm watching KoTR '97 and something JR said about Goldust really spoke to me as to why Stardust isn't so well-received. JR basically said the fans began to warm up to and respect Goldust when he explained his motives for being in the paint, the mannerisms, etc.--being all for Marlena. With Stardust we never had that true motivation for donning the facepaint. We just got Cody creating a "better" partner for his brother. We never had an explanation why he stuck around, why he was superior to Cody himself, why Stardust overpowered Cody to the point where he didn't want to even admit he was Cody, etc. It was a talented dude playing a character well, but lack of character development hurt him.
I'd welcome a Cody Rhodes face return with open arms, but I think the main event picture is too cluttered with good guys for him to matter.

Howdy. First off I appreciate that Jericho isn't being treated like trash in the build-up to Wrestlemania. Even more so, he's not a third wheel in a Rock/HHH feud but everyone has legit beef with each other. It makes the champion look good, a philosophy that somehow went unused in the real build to 'Mania X8. I like how the promos are structured and it's fun to read them in their respective voices--a thing only made possible by your ability to write in those characters' personalities. The opener was solid; I enjoy the amount of time it got being a Cruiserweight match and all. Kidman winning was the right choice too; at this point Jeff and Matt still needed to be partnered up. Test beating Rikishi was alright, it makes Test look good and builds a little credibility for his UnAmerican running mates later in the show. Hurricane winning was the right move here too and I'm glad it's coming down to him and Kidman for the Cruiserweight belt.'Taker's pissed. This is gonna be good. The Cruiserweight/Women's match at 'Mania is intriguing and I'm certainly excited for it. I like Maven challenging Undertaker and the write-up for it was enjoyable and made a ton of sense. Glad Austin was able to save Maven from a total beatdown; that match is being built up very well here. McMahon and Flair interaction was solid and gives me incentive to read Raw. The main event was real good; like Ryan, I was surprised the UnAmericans won but you got over the dissension between Rock and Trips. Overall solid show, the build (and hype) for Wrestlemania is real.

Howdy! First off, I do like that you give a quick run-down of the champs and your opening paragraph gave a good background of what's in store. It helps a dude like me who hasn't kept up as much (I stalked this bad boy a while back) get acclimated to what I have to expect. I enjoy the prospect of Abyss vs. Sting, and the way you build it here gives off a good feel of anticipation for the match. I personally hate Hernandez, but there was a point where I dug the dude in TNA, and he did what was necessary here to get him over. Hopefully soon he'll battle some more intense competition. I like the interviews with Chris Harris + Chris Daniels heading into next week's TNA Title bout: it adds suspense and anticipation to their ultimate confrontation. Oh, Petey Williams also has a budding undefeated streak too? Smart move keeping his ball rolling; as with Hernandez I anticipate a slow ween from lesser competition into the ranks of TNA's better opponents for him, which could lead to exciting and intriguing match-ups. CM Punk beating Doug Williams is good, especially since it seems he had his TNA Title shot set before the match. Makes him look strong going in without totally destroying Doug Williams' momentum. Also, I'm interested in your winning percentages that you give before each match. I like Sonjay Dutt but Lance Archer beating him in his debut was needed. I dig the Heroes for Villains stable as well as Archer's inclusion in it. Looking forward to what they'll be doing from here on out. It's magnificent that you build up the World Title match that much throughout the show. The main event looks like insanity on paper but your writing style complements it well in that it's easy to follow who's wrestling, what's going on, etc. The collective face forces winning was nice, and both teams look really good in dethroning AME. Overall I'm certainly following; the show was easy to follow, the matches were fun and I'm certainly looking forward to Harris/Daniels.

Hey, how's it going. The Live in Osaka card is intriguing. Firstly, I appreciate that this is in Osaka and not Tokyo. Gives off a different feel than the real-life show. Also glad that it's treated more like an In Your House and less like a typical house show in terms of the card--no random main event tag, more of an emphasis on certain titles while others are left off the show--things like that add to the uniqueness of the show. The main event is guaranteed to deliver, and I'm excited that it doesn't give away the Punk/Bryan match-up set for Battleground. KENTA being the second-billed segment is good looking and gives off the feel that he's gonna be a big deal in NXT and beyond. The two tag matches should be fun. Jericho vs. Zayn has to be insanity; expecting big things from that bad boy. Cool thinking that if WWE really did a live special in Japan in 2014, that would be the NXT Title match. Expecting Neville to retain but wouldn't be disappointed if Tyson were to come back to the states with the belt. Can't go wrong with the two women in the Women's Title match, and Del Rio vs. Big E should be solid. Don't know if it can top the best of 5 they had in 2013 when Ziggler was out with the concussion haha.
Definitely looking forward to it Kev.

The fans, because we see the payoff to a feud that has elevated the United States title above and beyond the IC strap. We get a trio of amazing matches from Cena and Owens and the satisfaction knowing Owens has been made on the main roster. We get the possibility of Owens/Cesaro down the line, and possibly more crazy match-ups because by the looks of it, Owens will be holding onto that title for a while.
Not to mention we win because Renee Young is still employed. Mami.

Is tonight really the night? Are the lights bright enough? Will the crowd actually be hyped? Is it even humanly possible for everything to go down? Why do I have to get loud? Because BROCK F'N LESNAR and PAUL F'N HEYMAN are in the House! Sufficient enough for me

Kinda salty it's Austin on the cover, but I'll prolly just put a pic of Brock in the cover sleeve anyway so it's no big deal for me.

I think it could be a defining moment for both guys Undertaker as ruthless Foley as toughest wrestler ever While there were many things that came out of the Undertaker/Mankind feud is it really helped 'Taker evolve as a performer. Some can say that Mankind brought out the vulnerable side out for the Undertaker. The chemistry the two had immense amounts of chemistry. The magic those two had is something we don't see today. The inclusion of the Hell In A Cell really was the best vehicle to blow-off their feud. I wished the WWE took notes and used the Hell In A Cell to blow-off major feuds. I can't remember the last time the Cell was used to blow-off a feud. That is a discussion for another thread. WWE tried (key word there) to get both Cell matches from 2014's PPV over as blow-offs. Here we are, however, nine months later, and Ambrose/Rollins has only been budding since and Cena/Orton was a "meh" way to end a feud. One could argue the HHH/Undertaker match from WM 28 was an adequate blow-off, otherwise it has to be Undertaker/Edge from Summerslam 2008. And this HiAC was brutal. It's hard to watch but in the moment I'm sure it was the craziest thing people saw live.

I read the title as "Smash" and I was wondering why Repo Man was going about doing impressions of wrestlers from his era.
