The 2005 installment was an awesome one-off, a deviation from the main product that had its own feel, fanbase and success.
I do prefer the 2006 installment, however, if only for the crowd heckling the hell outta Cena.

To be fair, WWE had to know the teams involved a couple weeks ago (they had like 8 days off before the Finals started) and would have foreseen them going 5, 6, or 7 games. Would've been more shocking if it was a sweep. Also the Cavs

Last year they said they had to cut various things that we liked--Create-an-Arena, match types, etc.--because they didn't have enough time to tweak those aspects for current gen. It's been a year. They've had enough time to screw around with the game and make stuff like that work. I feel justified in calling laziness if things like that--which would both add replay-ability and garner positive attention for this game--aren't in. MyCareer wouldn't drag on if it were more like Season Mode from HCTP. Cliché yes, but justified. I can see NBA 2K's MyCareer being linear--you're a singular basketball player. Yes you have a team but the core gameplay of that mode relies on your personal ability to play and affect each game. Wrestling's a different beast, both in reality and in a video game. Kayfabe-wise, what's stopping a wrestler from forming a team or switching his m.o. "mid-season" so to speak? You should have that ability to decide where you want your superstar to go, and not through series of text boxes. Voiceovers, backstage interactions, etc. would add to it. Hell, NBA 2K16 has Spike Lee directing the career mode! An option to start a career as a CAW or an active superstar/diva would be cool too. If you wanna start off in NXT and work your way up, do that. If you wanna be Neville and start small on Raw and make it big, go for it. If you wanna be John Cena and beat anyone and everyone, do that. Again, it'd add replay-ability and would make the Career mode feel different each play through. 2K15 was ehh. There's a ton of cool ideas but the execution was piss poor. 2K16 doesn't need to do too much to improve upon it, but there's a lot that they could up too. And that's what worries me.

Jericho said in his book that Cena was both the one behind the idea of the Summerslam finish and that he was totally wrong in the idea. They were built so well only to fall so hard from August to October. The final nail in the coffin was Cena beating Barrett at TLC and dousing him with chairs. Many saw them as jobbers but collectively all 8 had/have talent that, if brought out in the correct way, would've shone. No one was gonna believe the dancing, air-guitar wielding redhead was a viable heel, but bring him out in sunglasses, black tights and lack of a smile and he's viable.
Not to mention they buried the Undertaker at Bragging Rights and went nowhere with that storyline.
Not to mention the NXT pros beat up the NXT season 2 rookies on their premiere episode and that was stupid too.

Right now, no one on WWE programming is entertaining me more than Kevin Owens.
The only reason I would theoretically tune into SmackDown is for him. He's my favorite part of Raw and I'm always looking forward to him on NXT.

Seth with Joey's face makes him look like a sad, sad middle-aged man trying to reclaim his youth while in a mid-life crisis.

Paul Heyman is and always was fantastic. Same with The Rock. And Austin. And Dusty, Flair, Piper, Jericho, Miz, and numerous others. But in my mind, no one will ever be able to touch CM Punk in terms of promos. EVERY TIME the guy had a mic in his hands--from the indies to the WWE main event, whether face or heel--it was gold. It was special. It felt real.
From a delivery standpoint, Punk's always been firing on all cylinders. Tone, choice of words, mannerisms, body language--everything connects to the crowd and manipulates it in a genius way.

The Shield formed in Indianapolis. The Shield broke up in Indianapolis.
I was initially skeptical but I think at this point in time (now that Roman's starting to come into his own and Ambrose is white hot) all three of them are in fantastic situations because of both the work they did in the Shield and the work they've done in the past year.
I miss Batista too.

I legit was thinking yesterday "Remember when MGK was a thing" and then this news hit.
It hit like a swift kick to the balls.

I don't know. This'll probably come off as stupid but I feel like the three hours is a good excuse for Raw to be lacking once in a while. Like if the show sucked and it were two hours we'd be up in arms like "they had more than enough time to do stuff and they didn't do it well." But if the show was ehh and it was three hours, 1) there's usually one soul bright spot that people can say "okay that wasn't that bad, saved the show from being a total dud," and 2) we can say "well, they had too much time so they spent it doing things that didn't work."
For the most part, Raw has been moderately entertaining consistently since moving to three hours. Not every show's firing on all cylinders from the opening video package to the closing credits, but there haven't been many, if any, that had less than a handful of enjoyable segments. And every now and then we're treated with a Raw that's mind-bogglingly insane--like the past three years' post-Wrestlemania shows. That show budded in 2012 (when Raw was 2 hours), but imploded in 2013 (the first three-hour 'Mania recap show), zoomed into the stratosphere last year in terms of excitement, and landed safely in Mars with this years'.

SOFT SPOKEN HARD HITTING
Coach was alright. Weird seeing him on ESPN after some of the goofy stuff he did with the WWE.

I like it for him going forward, but for the feud with Cena I wish he had a spoof of Cena's shirt.
"The champ is here" in gold lettering with the NXT title at the waist. On the back where "HLR" is, "FOF" there instead.
I'd buy 10.

Instead of SmackDown just showing Raw recaps they should just have Cena do a 2-hour promo about Raw because he seems to do it pretty well

I want Ryder to come out for Cena's challenge. As he comes out Owens lays him the down and destroys Cena too to end the segment.

Sucks his merch has run out. The vast majority of his ProWrestlingTees merch is unwearable.
