1. Twins 2. Rockies 3. Yankees 4. Cardinals 5. Dodgers 6. Angels 7. Red Sox 8. PhilliesSomeone's bitter. No, someone just hates the Philles. I only follow one team, therefore I hate my division rivals, like any fan should. So they are the absolute last team I want to win the World Series. The same goes for the Marlins, Mets, and even the Nationals.

I actually pity the Natinals then dance with glee when the Phils kick the crap out of them. I realize that pretty much everyone kicks the crap out of them, but it still entertains me.

But I picked the Cards from the get-go so...guess I'm kind of hoping they make it, division rivals or not; but I'm also somewhat hoping they fall flat on their faces. Ah well.

Extremely pissed off right now. The Phillies game is starting in the middle of the freaking workday for one thing. Fine, I figure I'll just stream the audio from MLB.tv where I've been a subscriber for a while. No. Not gonna happen. They happily billed me $15 for the handful of regular season games that were played this month, but now want to charge me either $20 just for the audio of the post season or $10 for just the video of the post season. Obviously, my boss is not gonna let me watch the streaming video of the game while I'm at work, but he wouldn't have any objections to the streaming audio while I'm working the shop. I do that all the time. I'm pissed that the mlb has basically hosed me for $15 (which I assumed carried at least the audio of the post season games if the video was blacked out nationally) and now wants me to bend over and pay an additional $10-20 for what I should already get. This is extremely ed up.

I don't have MLB.tv or anything, but wouldn't you have to pay extra for playoff games or something? (I really don't know. I watch what games I can on TV, and I use the gameday feature when I'm on the computer.)

I absolutely HATE those stupid rally towels, it looks so stupid everybody standing there twirling them.
You'll never see them doing that at Fenway OR Yankee Stadium.

I'm ticked that they billed me $15 (standard monthly rate) for just one week of baseball basically. I was under the strong impression that you got at least the auido of all the post season games and paid extra if you wanted to actually watch them. What pisses me off the most is that they basically charged me a full month for only a week of baseball.

If I'm a pitcher and I'm facing the backstop and I have to look at thousands of people waiving these stupid towels...it's distracting. They make pitchers with tattoos cover them up because it could be "distracting" to the batter....what about the pitchers? Nobody cares about the pitchers. Waiving towels in the crowd should not be allowed. But stadiums actually HAND THEM OUT on the way in. It's ridiculous.

I'm glad you mentioned Gameday. If I use Gameday, I'm actually able to get into the normal mlb.tv screen and get audio. If I go to mlb.tv, it wouldn't let me log in unless I buy one of their packages. That is extremely ed up.

Well the umpires are obviously all warmed up for the Playoffs...that was probably the worst call I've ever seen in the history of baseball....he touched 3rd base AT LEAST 3 seconds before the ball got there and was called out.

Pretty interesting game going right now though. Bad calls FTW!

Do you guys think it was a mistake for Girardi to leave Brian Bruney off the ALDS roster in favor of Chad Gaudin?
I think that Bruney coming in for an inning throwing 95 IF HE CAN THROW STRIKES, is more effective than Gaudin. The only thing Gaudin could do which would be a benefit is if one of the starters comes out in like the 3rd inning..in which case the Yankees are losing the series if their pitchers don't go deep.

I don't care about the towels. It's been done forever, and nobody has bothered to complain enough for baseball to do anything about it. There is nothing stopping Yankees fans from doing the same thing. I never once thought about that being the problem in the 91 World Series. Hrbeck pulling Ron Gant off of first base? That was a problem. But the Braves do the tomahawks sometimes, though the fans rarely get excited enough to bother now. But I don't mind it at all. In fact, I wish more teams did it.

My only complain is that it's distracting to the PITCHERS. The home fans only twirl them when the VISITING team is pitching. Now, I'm a fair guy, let's compromise here. Fair is fair, so if the home fans want to twirl towels in an attempt to distract the visiting pitchers, then they should be FORCED to also twirl them while their home team is pitching as well. That seems fair.
