Good stuff all around today. 7 IP, 6H, 1 ER, 9K, 2BB and a W for Halladay. His stuff just looked filthy out there. Poly coming through huge today with a career high day with 6 RBI's, Just a great effort from the Pitching and for the offense to pile on run support. Thank God baseball is back! Jayson Werth looks asleep most of the day. Yeah, but there was a ridiculous amount of positives out there today, Nationals or not Howard is starting to learn how to hit lefties and against this shift and I feel his average is gonna show that this year. Rollins actually played aggressive baseball today and looked the best I've seen him in a while Polanco was an absolute beast today and that type of production is exactly why we brought him here over Feliz. Hopefully he continues to be a big producer all year. Halladay looked outstanding, even in the first after giving up the run. He just had hitters off balance all game and was just locating and throwing pitches with ease, like a thing of beauty. If Halladay looks that good on a day where he doesn't have his best stuff, I can only imagine how good he will look on a day where he's flatout dealing. Overall great game, run support for Halladay, offense produced, bullpen wasn't completely terrible, just an overall great start to the season

It was the ing Nats. The Nats man. Our WFigs MLB team, with Ralpho on the mound, could beat the Nats. Yes, Halladay was the ace we knew he would be and pitched an outstanding game. But the rest of the team cant be credited with too much.

Roy Halladay is already a bust, good luck Philly! Let me help you with the egg on your face. Mets with an opening day win against the Marlins?! Makes me a happy fan. You really worry me sometimes, by responding to seriously some of the silliest things I could possibly say. After 1 inning I said he was a bust, you thought I was serious? Also the NL MVP and ROY are already decided, sorry rest of the league!

I'm impressed. That was a very good outing by the Pirates today. Granted, I was thinking "here we go again" in the 7th...things were starting to get a bit rough there, but they pulled through. I say this was a very successful opening game for them. I hope their play continues like this throughout the season, with hope being the key word there.

Oh I agree completely, don't get me wrong, but I'm glad we have a series at the beginning of the season to get some confidence under our belt and work out some things we need help with. If Howard can work against the shift, Halladay can get into a groove, Hamels can gain some early season confidence on Wednesday, it's a good boost to start the season and give these guys some good things early in the season. It's like extended spring training

I was pretty pissed today. Marcum had an amazing start considering the come back from TJ. I figured his no hit bid would have been broken up earlier than the seventh. Anyway, that game pissed me off.
I figured this year they'd try not to blow late leads like they did all last year. Hopefully they can change that and atleast win a few games in the ninth.
I was pretty impressed by the game that Wells, Lind, and Snyder had. Although Snyder went I think 0-4 at the plate. His play in the field was great, and same with Lind. Although his plate production was much better. And Wells, well let's hope he gets back to his 2006 self and have a good, breakout season. IF today was any inclination of the way the season is going to go. I won't know what to think. Can't wait for thursday.
Btw. I don't know how my punctuation is gonna be or whatever, I'm trying to type from my blackberry and its crapty. Anyway,
let's go yankees

I figured BriGuy would appreciate that. Aside from that, that was just an incredibly awesome play.

I am streaming it on ESPN. If there is a local channel showing it, I can't find it. Pisses me off. Like 3 channels show the Braves, and it always changes. I miss when it was always on TBS. I know I'm late, but it was on sportssouth. I don't know if Georgia gets that channel though.
