At this point, it's hard to not give a former WWE guy the World Title. AJ was so-so as Champ, and with a solid/okay first hour, maybe some new viewers saw it and will continue to watch now that "RVD from WWE" is World Champion.

Yeah... TNA is really ruining everything.... They give someone that's HUGELY OVER the title. Who gives a where he came from? He's ing OVER, and will make MONEY. Can we please complain about something that's actually something to bitch about? idk, like Ron Killings getting blown up? This.

People are seriously gonna say TNA giving the title to someone that's over is stupid, but blowing up and killing someone is perfectly fine....

They are probably paying RVD more than AJ. If that is the case might as well give RVD the belt hoping he can draw in some other fans that AJ can't.

I didn't mind, because 1), the match was great, & 2) I don't anyone saw it happening. I don't expect RVD to hold it that long anyway, because AJ is great with the belt, and will probably be like Flair was in the 80's where he would lose the belt for a short time, then win it back.
I think TNA really wanted to stack the show with the Raw guys not on Raw, and I felt they put put on one the best wrestling shows I've seen in years.
I just hope the viewership reflected that.

I find it Ironic that he wins the belt the day BEFORE 4.20 lol.
When did R-Truth get blown up?

I think its ing hilarious. I am a RVD fan for sure, but having him win the title after BUILDING IT FOR 1 HOUR is just stupid.

It's TNA throwing all their eggs into one basket....again! Wasted two perfectly good PPV main event matches on a free TV show, they gave a guy with no build at all a World title victory like it was nothing, and ruins future main events that could have come out of this feud and eventually making RVD's win mean that much more. It's a stupid move and it's just TNA's way of trying to increase ratings instead of using logic in booking their TV shows. I hate the ohhh don't give away PPV matches on free TV argument. Putting PPV quality matches on free TV gets viewers. Which in turn makes the ad time during the show worth more. Also if they go out and have all poop matches on TV, and only good ones on PPVs, then everyone would bitch all the matches suck. Then not want to watch the PPV. What company someone worked for shouldn't matter, as long as they are over and are good. If anything RVD is an ECW grown talent, not WWE. Ratings are all fine and dandy but if they built a feud for the title between RVD and Styles that would still get ratings and would bring buyers at the PPV when the title finally gets put on the line. Giving the title to RVD on a show with no advertising about the match doesn't make much sense no matter how you look at it.

See in ECW, when the guy had to go through a Gauntlet type scenario. The First guy would be tough to beat, and him and Jeff went to the limit. So the next logical thing if RVD goes over, is that his opponent is somebody he's dying to beat. (See Dreamer/Raven, also Funk In ECW). Therefore when he pulls that huge win out of his butt, it's extraordinary and its a emotional moment for the face.
Instead, it was like "I beet u Jeff Harvey, ok AJ Stylez with no wrist tape, ur next! I wonz! Yay! I dont even really hate you but everybody celebrate like im friggin awesome and worked for this for all my life!"

I've got no issue with RVD as champ. He wasn't even a WWE original. He was grown in ECW.
TNA was actually pretty decent tonight. A lot of wrestling, and mostly meaningful segments.

I've got nothing against AJ, but in all honesty...RVD hasn't even been champ for 2 hours and I already care about his title reign more than I cared about AJ's.
AJ's most recent title reign reminded me a lot of Jericho's first reign...eventually, he just became a pawn in his manager's feud.

Its awesome.. AJ just had a match in a cage the night before, they'll play it off next week for sure. I love it. Great match too.
