The first one was far better. It's just disappointing that this one didn't directly face 'demon in a bottle' as many critics made it out to. It was more about toxicity in his blood, than an alcohol problem. Good buildup for the Avengers all throughout- I really marked just about every time I saw Sam L. Jackson on screen. I think Scarlett Johansen's fight scenes were some of the best/most awe inspiring parts of the film. Also, the final battle with WM/IM vs. all the drones- was great, but by that time they had pretty much put us all on 'machine overload' and busted their load 17 times already.
I think the character of Stark once again stole the show here, as only Downey could deliver- and there was alot of comic relief and some really good emotionally pressed scenes. Rockwell was both fun and despicable as Justin Hammer. Enjoyable stuff, but I had higher expectations.

SPOILERS AHOY!: So, when Tony was, like, dying from the arc reactor in his chest, am I the only one who was hoping it would be Bruce Banner who came up with a way to slow down the poison? I was really disappointed that they didn't even mention him.

Any hi-res images of Scarlett Johansson from the movie would be greatly appreciated . I saw IM2 at midnight, I really enjoyed it. I watched IM in full earlier in the night (I had only seen it in parts before) so I was all caught up. I honestly enjoyed IM2 more.

I love it.
It was not a perfect movie but it was very good. Rourke and Rockwell were especially great.
Most of the complaints I've heard from people were either things that didn't bother me or in a few cases things I liked (the cap's shield scene being in the latter group).
I'm planning on seeing it again tomorrow with my girlfriend and I can't wait.
This movie also helped build my excitement for Thor, Cap, and the Avengers. I can't wait for those movies.

Downey Jr. = great. Rockwell = great. Cheadle = great. Rourke = badass. Iron Man 2 = ...disappointing.
I'm trying to figure out what happened, if I was too overhyped or what...but it fell flat for me. Whiplash was great, but he gets his ass kicked in like a minute and is an afterthought to Stark's witty banter on the roof with Pepper/Rhodes. It seems like all the components were there and strong, characters and all...the film as a whole just felt kinda lame to me. I MUCH preferred the first. Maybe I need a little time to reflect.
One thing I'm certain of though is Kick Ass >>>>>>>Iron Man 2. Which is sad considering this has a shot of breaking records on hype alone.

I was never a huge fan of him in the comics and even passed seeing the first in theaters. Watching later on DVD I Realized the mistake and went to see the double header imax experince and it was easily the funnest time ive ever had at the movies. Maybe because I didnt follow the comic tightly I liked the movie more. Either way it was some of the most fun Ive had watching a single film. I actually felt like I was on an adventure excited to see what happens next. Nothing slowed down for me and I loved every single minute of it. To me that is a solid film. Everything worked, it was fun. Even if it had controdicting story elements or whatever, while watching I simple didnt give a and thats what movies are meant to be, a nice escape from doing stuff and thinking. As for the Captain America shot.... LOL......Captain America fans, grow a dick, it was a joke. One that seriously worked well with Stark's character.

I enjoyed the movie very much. The cast was great. Action was entertaining. No real complaints here. Thor & Captain America references were a nice touch.

This looks like a much better super hero movie than that Kick Ass garbage.

Saw it opening day and really enjoyed it I thought it was a great movie to get people ready for The Avengers movie and I loved the little hidden stuff with captain america and thor. It may have not been as good as the first but it was a movie and it entertained me and I enjoyed it so thats all that matters.

This movie was simply amazing. Im still recovering from the epicness I experienced, but Ill live.
It was intense, hilarious, and compelling.
People say Avatar made their life seem boring afterward? Ironman made this night boring for me, once I came back down to earth.
Downy was amazing. Rourke was phenominal. Cheadel was very impressive seeing as I had no faith in him replacing Howard, but he made me a believer. And Johannson was stunning.
The final Whiplash/Ironman/War Machine battle was good, but it could have been longer.
Onto the final scene. It sucked. I Never cared for Thor, and probably never will. Marvel has a way of changing my views though. It could just be because im not a fanboy but thats the thing that put a chink in my chain. But it doesnt change how i loved the movie.

Brilliant performances by Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell just did not make up for the fact that the movie dragged about halfway through and had a total, total copout ending. That's all I can say.

Decent movie. I wasnt a fan of the first one so much so I would have to say I liked this one more. It still had its flaws... I thought Rourke got the shaft with his character...getting his ass kicked so easily two times. Don Cheadle was laughable as War Machine. Downy Jr. and Rockwell were awesome though.

I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a real extension of the first movie, with more of the same, which to me, is a good thing. Pleased.

This movie was a steaming pile of crap in my opinion, easily the worst of Marvel's major releases besides Spider-Man 3 and Elektra.

I went to the Drive in today where it was the second feature, so I saw it for the second time... I still loved it!!! I'll be seeing it at least once more before it leaves theatres, as my girlfriend still hasn't seen it (she was supposed to go both times but kept deciding not to). She's already said she'll pay for me to see it again, so that's a plus. I'm excited to see it again too Plus, I love that final scene, it just makes me that much more excited for Thor every time I see it.

I seriously don't get the hate for this movie. I thought it was awesome. It could or could not be because of my major man crush on Robert Downey Jr. I mean, what were you all expecting? I thought it really helped set up for the Avengers as well. Sam Jackson was very good as nick fury.
