Sorry if already posted ;D the link) Got bored today and was watching some videos on youtube of comic con. i saw the two pack Ledgends series 2 and wondered when they were gonna be relesed. i changed the quality to 720 and slowed the video down to look at the tag on the two pack ledgends. it said "fall 2010/spring 2011. So hopefully we can expect to see the series two in the spring.

I believe if the price was to drop on the Legends 2 packs they would definately sell more.

I believe if the price was to drop on the Legends 2 packs they would definately sell more. Why would they drop the price? I have no problem with the price of the 2-Packs. A Legends figure is $15 the 2-Packs are $29

What they really need to do is put exclusive figures in them. Don't put Piper in then have 4 other pipers released at the same time. Make teams people want ie the rockers. That is how they will sell a ton and keep the price point.

Legends 2 packs are a nice idea....but they need to release better characters that will be more popular......Legends 2 -packs Series 1 was NOT a good idea to release those 3 particular packs all at once. They are such shelf warmers and I'm afraid my TRU will never be rid of them.
-Bushwhackers? I'm sorry, but once the handful of collectors buy them, the kids are not going to want them, which is why they are sitting on the shelf forever.
-Sheik and Nikolia? Same with Bushwhackers. Sheik's individual figure isn't selling either, so him in a two pack with a guy the kids REALLY have no idea who he is, that's not going to sell.
-Piper and Orton? Piper should have been an individual figure. The kids really aren't going to be interested in Bob Orton.
Plus, as is the fatal flaw with 2-packs....most of the time you don't actually WANT both guys in there. And I don't know that many people can afford $30 when they really only want one of the guys.
Maybe we should just stick to individual Legends for now until Mattel can give us Legends 2 packs that will be in demand or where BOTH of the figures are popular not just one.

I really don't get your complaints about the character selection. What kids are you talking about? These are obviously not aimed at kids. I think the collector market in general for action figures has really taken a hit. I think that is a reason we are seeing the Legends go from 4-6 figures a series. Except for guys like LOD, The Rock, and maybe Stone Cold...I don't see any Legends being really hot sellers right now. If they make the Rockers & the Von Erichs in the same numbers they made the Series 1 two packs...those are going to shelf warm as well. I'm kind of worried about the Legends line right now.

If they make the Rockers & the Von Erichs in the same numbers they made the Series 1 two packs...those are going to shelf warm as well. I'm kind of worried about the Legends line right now. My complaint is this: They aren't aimed at kids, but we need them to be desirable to kids because we need them to pick up the slack. Once the collectors buy their Shiek's, Kamalas, and all the other obscure characters....then they sit there because kids don't want them. They need to release more popular characters so that they actually sell. Even if my TRU were to get in new Legends 2 packs, there is nowhere to put them! They are falling off the shelf onto the floor! It's really easy to make the Legends line successful. We don't need every obscure character throughout the history of WWE and wrestling. Bret Hart - tons of attires Classic Kane - Debut attire, 2002 return, removable masks Classic Undertaker - lots of gimmicks, lots of attires Vince McMahon Goldberg Kevin Nash/Diesel Scott Hall/Razor Ramon X-pac Roddy Piper Sycho Sid HBK - they could do 100 attires from his career The Rock - do it again with all his tats Those are all guys who have had WWE figures before and are currently Free Agents or affiliated with WWE. Hawk & Animal need an LOD 2-pack, not ROAD WARRIOR single releases. They could do Razor/Diesel and Hall/Nash 2-packs. We could get an HBK/Diesel 2-pack like the 2 dudes with attitudes pack. Yeah, the Legends line would be smaller and we would get less characters and more guys repeated with different outfits and/or gimmicks....but honestly, different versions of popular guys would sell better than obscure characters or people who are unpopular.

Do you really think kids who buy John Cena, and like Hornswoggle have any interest whatsoever in Scott Hall, Kevin Nash or X-Pac? This is my main point with the Legends line...I don't know if it is selling well by Mattel's standard, but if it isn't...I don't know what more they could do. I do not think the names you listed except for Rock, HBK, and maybe UT would sell any better than the names we have seen thus far from Mattel. Also...if those are the names we have to use liberally in the Legends line to keep it going, I say cancel it right now.

There is 13-14 year olds that have watched wrestling for years and know who a lot of guys are and buy the colorful guys and fat guys. Just because the average kid might not know doesn't mean kids won't buy a scott hall or kevin nash.

Does that mean they were big sellers? No. Anecdotal evidence is completely useless. Wanna kill the Legends line? Fill it with Scott Hall & Kevin Nash figures.

I don't really think the Bushwhackers and other lesser known characters of the past won't sell for kids...Toys R Us' just need to order less.....thats it...most kids will get who looks cool...my little cousin has no idea who half the wrestlers are and he got the Bushwhackers just because they had "army pants" on...so I think everyone needs to stop worrying about how Mattel needs to market...yes they are a bit pricey but just like PJ said a regular legend is 15 so why wouldnt a 2 pack be 30. Lets sit back and relax we have atleast 5 years of figures from Mattel...lets not rush everything.
