No offence to WBA, but Moyes is bigger than them. He was awful for United but lets not forget 10 strong years at Everton. I think Sherwood isn't as bad as people say. Since he took over Spurs are 5th in the form table, and he actually has some interesting and good ideas if you listen to what he says. The problem is his ineloquence and 'geezer' image that causes many not to respect him (although still like him). His stunt with the fan in the dugout was great too, as was his response when asked if the fan was the next Spurs manager: "He can't be, he's English." Sherwood is great for the game, and he actually has the results to back it up. He doesn't take crap from his players either.

Fair play to Arsenal. Didn't see them coming back from 2-0 down. Once they did there was only one winner in my opinion. Glad Arsenal have won a trophy now, hopefully they can believe in themselves a bit more now and not bottle it when it comes to the title race in the future. Aaron Ramsey is just awesome at the moment too.

Hull had an amazing start and deserved their goals. But Arsenal were the rightful winners as they could've easily had four penalties. One of them happened so fast that the ref can be forgiven for missing it but at least two others should've been given. Could've been a scoreline like 6-4 if there was better finishing.

What no talk about Man Utd's new manager? or the greatest player in the Premier League era retiring? What's wrong with you guys, you got lives or something?
Seems like Van Gaal is the right call. He's been favourite all along and if he did set the foundations for Barca and Bayen then they've made a terrific signing. It's going to be tough, it's another big change with Rio, Vidic, Giggs going. Gaal will need a good amount of money. Thinking 2-3 years before handing over to Giggs. Hopefully Giggsy sticks around and learns from the manager, so that he can eventually take over. Being Welsh Giggsy is beyond legendary, up there with Tom Jones. So it's sad to see him retire but he's done so much and it's the right time. Really hope he does well in management.

I was in mourning yesterday over Giggsy. I expect Kane had something to do with his retirement [/lamewrestlingreference]
Van Gaal and Giggs as assistant is definitely the right call, even if it took a while to get there.

Fancy United for Top Three next Season without doubt. If Liverpool can take the Title to the last day of the Season by playing no Champions League Football, I'm sure United under Van Gaal will especially once they've strengthened their squad. Expect to see Kroos, Reus and a couple of centre backs get signed. Could be very strong next Season.

I still think United are making this thing sound a whole lot more simple than it actually is, just like last summer.
It likely won't be as easy as: >appoint Van Gaal as manager >sign 5 world class players >back to being champions again
Are players like Reus and Kroos really going to leave to join United? I'm not so sure. If teams are open to selling players of that quality, there's going to be a lot of top teams interested. Some who will have more to offer than United.

Yaya Toure should be embarrassed.

It's a good appointment for United and I think having Giggs as his assistant is a shrewd move. Very interested to see who they bring in over the summer.

Sadly I agree with regards to transfers. I think we'll probably get a few smaller players and maybe 1 big name, but not 4 or 5 like most people suggest. I do think we'll get top 4 though, or at the very least should do. The squad we have is already top-4 worthy anyway (although the defence is a bit light atm), its just been underperforming.

This was my final table prediction at the beginning of the season:
Well at least I got the champions right. I think the only other exact position I got right was Newcastle coming 10th.

Early, and most likely horribly wrong, predictions: 1. Manchester United 2. Manchester City 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Tottenham Hotspur 6. Liverpool 7. West Ham United 8. Swansea City 9. Everton 10. Newcastle United 11. West Bromwich Albion 12. Aston Villa 13. Southampton 14. Sunderland 15. Fulham 16. Norwich City 17. Crystal Palace 18. Cardiff City 19. Stoke 20. Hull City Got Palace staying up at least.

Well, I'm not sure where to start. That was an absolute disaster of a season, and we got exactly what we deserved, in being relegated to the Championship. Three managers and god knows how many players couldn't get it right, and they all let the club down this season. It was just one extreme to the other; one week a squad of incompetent players on their last legs, the next a bunch of teenagers who looked hopelessly out of their depth. And of course the whole manager debacle was ludicrous, and we should have been relegated on that alone.
Unfortunately, I think we could be in the Championship for quite a few seasons now; we need to start bringing out youth squad through, and whilst lots of them are very talented, and will be much better suited to the Championship, they will take quite awhile to get used to the pace of the game. Looks like we're selling our most promising young talent, Chris David, which is a shame, as I think he would really tear it up in the Championship next season. I'm still annoyed we sold Kerim Frei last year, as he would have really shone in a lower league. Oh well. I hope those bastards QPR lose on Saturday, so we've still got a nice derby to look forward too.
As for the Premier League season as a whole, it turned in to a bit of a classic, despite being appalling in it's first few months. Liverpool were easily the most entertaining team to watch this season, but it was also amusing seeing them choke it. Was also mental how Sunderland did a Wigan, and claimed the most improbable victories in the last month of the season. Fair play to them, as they were down and out at the beginning of April.
Here's how I'd rank this season:
Manager of the season - Brendan Rodgers
Player of the season - Luis Suárez
Young player of the season (21 or under) - Luke Shaw
Worst player of the season - Jozy Altidore
Signing of the season - Wilfried Bony
Game of the season - Liverpool 3-2 Manchester City
Worst game of the season - Manchester United 0-0 Chelsea
Goal of the season - Pajtim Kasami vs Crystal Palace
Save of the season - David Marshall vs Aston Villa
Flop of the season - David Moyes

Manager I'd give to Pulis - yes I'm biased but what he did was simply more impressive than Rodgers' (still impressive) achievement. Pulis took a certain relegation team with an awful defence and turned them into a clean sheet machine that would've been top half had the season started the day he took over. As for signing of the season, I'm less certain but I do think Bony is overrated. Yes he very quietly scored quite a few goals but most of them were towards the end of the season and very few of them actually won Swansea points before about April. His late season form was very impressive but not enough to justify signing of the season. If loan signings count then definitely Lukaku - if not then maybe Lovren.

We've wrapped up deals for Ben Hamer, Matthew Upson and Marc Albrighton in the last few days all on free transfers, glad to see we're getting our business done early.
