Honestly I did not care when I heard about this, but once I watched that video, if I didn't get so psyched.

I hope it's just a one-off or a part time deal.
I have no interest in RVD being yet another guy in the "inner circle" who "has" to be on both RAW AND SmackDown all the time that Creative will end up struggling to find something for because he's "too important to not be doing anything".
WWE needs to stop living in the past and start putting in effort and working with the guys they have.

WWE needs to stop living in the past and start putting in effort and working with the guys they have. Because guys like Jericho, Christian, and William Regal never helped teach the younger guys to improve. Once again the same problem we had with Fandango and Bray Wyatt. People see a 60 second promo and start bashing. Its not as many this time, but I am sick of pessimistic people here. RVD can put on an entertaining match and when in TNA always made the other guys look great. Are we forgetting that the great rock was booed from the start practically and then stepped up and became great. Guys like Stone Cold were gave the gimmick of the ring master and were treated like trash but became great. Who is to say guys like Curtis Axel, Fandango, and Bray Wyatt aren't future Main Eventers. Its funny everyone doubted Fandango then everyone became a fan boy. A lot of people booed Curtis Axel Idea and are starting to come around. How is it that so many members here are so full of hate that they are complaining about a wrestler based on a 60 second promo. Jericho has put over Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk many times. Who is to say RVD can't help the stars the same amount. Sure he phoned it in, in TNA. However it was evident TNA was to big on making Hogan look great to give anyone else a moment to shine. RVD may have phoned it in, however those matches of RVD are a lot better then most of the matches in WWE today. RVD coming in could be good or bad. I'm not saying everyone should love him being back, but atleast give it a chance.

Anything to prevent building new stars, eh WWE?? Instead they will sign guys who are in their 40s to come back and wrestle for their company, instead of finding a way to get new, young talent on TV. Please just stop. You can't put new talent over without using old talent.

RVD coming back can mean great things.
-Feuds with Punk, Ziggler, and Bryan
-Reform with Kane against the Shield anyone?
-And I would love to see him work with NXT to teach these guys how to be a better high flyer.
-And maybe just maybe.....a world title reign that actually will amount to anything

I'm not saying everyone should love him being back, but atleast give it a chance. Maybe they are future main eventers, and maybe they aren't. But the problem right now is that there are too many people presented as "main eventers" and as a result we don't have a real midcard anymore. RVD is only going to make that situation worse. I liked Fandango and Bray Wyatt because I believe that Johnny Curtis and "Husky Harris" were never given a fair shot. People don't like Curtis Axel because he's being given too much too soon. Joe Hennig deserves to be on TV (as do a lot of other talents), but I don't quite think he deserves to be treated like the next big thing. WWE should be trying to build a real midcard, not hotshotting everyone into the main event. Why not bring up guys like Zack Ryder, Justin Gabriel, Alex Riley, Yoshi Tatsu, or Tons of Funk and use them to feud with the new talents? The roster is so heel heavy and they're all getting shoved into programs with the top guys instead of being built up as solid midcard acts. WWE needs faces, but they don't bother to push the faces they have, and just let them rot as enhancement talents. RVD might put over all the heels, but there's no room for face talents to grow because RVD's very presence takes up a spot that someone could be pushed into.

I cannot wait to see him back. I never saw his work at TNA so my memories of RVD are very good. (Assuming the worst of TNA)

Well RVD is one of my all time favs, but even he won't bring me to watch WWE. The Rock didn't, CM Punk didn't and there's no Christian. All my favorites have either left or are semi-retired. I can't make myself watch WWE. But hey many fans will be happy and he'll bring in many more viewers. I was happy with him in TNA, but after his first year, he just felt like part of the furniture. He was just 'there'. He was on fire during his first few months, I was very pleased. Then as X-Division champ he had something to do, but seemed his heart wasn't in it. Just not the same RVD I grew up idolising. Toward the end I preferred to not have RVD around, rather than be in TNA and do nothing but tarnish his legacy. WWE has made the right move imo, but hopefully he can get a good last run out of this.

I'm gonna opt to not rip this thing apart because I'm just psyched. I've been a big RVD fan since I used to stay up til 3am watching the original ECW and I'll be in Philly for MITB so when I saw the promo I flipped a switch haha. VERY excited and I can't wait to see what kinds of things WWE will do with him.

Just saw the video and it got me super jacked for his return! Philadelphia is gonna explode when he returns I can guarantee. I was there at the 09 Rumble when he made the surprise return in his home state and hearing that reaction was insane so I can bet there will be some ECW faithful at MITB! I was really hoping he'd be the Heyman guy but we get Mr. Monday Night either way so I'm down with that.

Because there's no way that new talent can get over by beating any of those guys. A match against them (it doesn't really matter which one) wouldn't last two minutes on Raw and would be the first thing to get cut on Hulu. Look at the Shield... they came in and took out EVERYBODY. Now, would they have gotten over if they had debuted by running in and beat up Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel? No... no they would not.

rvd is the man, and if they use him properly you can bet we'll see his drive in the ring fully return. you can't make a guy flounder around the midcard and get squashed by hhh repeatedly and expect him to keep delivering epic pieces. rvd wrestling half rate still has a better ringwork rate than the majority of today's young workers.
very pleased to see him return.
