got my first of 3 Fantasy drafts tomorrow night! who's #1 this year? I've done fantasy baseball a few times over the years but by the end of the season majority of the league has fizzled away. I know it's easier to manage teams by having apps on your phone and everything but do you find it difficult to stay engaged throughout the entire season?

honestly? no. I mean if my team ends up sucking and by late August I know i'm out of the race completely, yes. but even then ill still set lineups and stuff to try and win.
But I enjoy baseball more than any other fantasy game because it's a daily thing. there's always something to do or check on....there's always surprises and frustrations. something about it just keeps me going.

Get Cabrera or Mike Trout. Cant go wrong with either choice tbh.

WELCOME BACK!!!!! What are your thoughts on how the Josh Hamilton signing is working out so far? Haha sup man, did you used to have another screen name? It's been almost two years now so I can't really remember. The Hamilton signing is what it is, I wasn't very fond of it initially and I still frown upon it (and him). Especially when the season rolls around and he's fouling off every hittable pitch and swings-and-misses at junk.

to his defense, Jeter isn't a "fat old man" he's obviously in shape, has taken care of his body, etc. but i dont think he's going to flat out suck this season.
that being said, he shouldn't be playing "162" at short. i guess to their point they feel Eduardo Nunez will be his backup....or something, i dunno. maybe Ichiro could train at short, lulz

LOLZ welcome back dude, remember when you were saying the Angels will be the best ever because of Pujols? Where did you go? Oh but back to the boards before the season starts, any proclamations about how awesome the Angels will be this year? Pot calling the kettle black, we will miss you come Opening Day and throughout the season when the Angels are fighting for 3rd place...again.

Theres just no way he holds up for half the games this year, and even if he does his range will be even worse. Understand he's the captain, but I just dont see this working out and Drew would be perfect

I remember you talking about how awesome Pujols was (and I was debating that he wasn't the best in baseball anymore) and then 2 days later he became an Angel. I never thought Pujols would be the reason why we succeeded, Trout (who you said Harper was better than..LMAO) and our potential great rotation with Weaver/Haren/Wilson/Santana was why I thought so (and why everybody picked us to be in the WS). Still remember you saying Trout wasn't anything special and that Harper was the better prospect..good god that was funny.

Soooooooo you are agreeing with me that you looked like a clown for bragging about winning the world series and being a super team on these boards and admitting you are totally wrong because you listed to the wrong people? YOu were obnoxious on these boards and then disappeared when the Angels tanked. Pujols died, I was wrong, sucks for me BUT you are a fan of the team that has him for the next TEN years.....so I guess, jokes on you? Trout has exceeded Harper, I wasnt the only one who picked Harper. Trout is awesome. I never said he wasnt anything special, guy was the consensus #1-2 prospect in baseball, maybe try to remember my supposed quotes better there superfan. Enjoy 3rd place again, we'll see you next March bud.

Enjoy 3rd place again, we'll see you next March bud. Yeah I admit I was wrong in regards to our 2012 team, as were many. The fact of the matter is, you were treating me like some wack-job when I predicted his breakout season in 2012. And I remember you vividly (and some other guys on here) calling me out for saying Harper wasn't in the same league as Trout, a very good player but not enough tools to be able to produce in multiple aspects of the game (clearly shown by the WAR/WPA dispensaries). I'm not expecting much more than a 2nd/3rd place this year..although I have more confidence this season than I had last. Our rotation looks slightly more promising than last years embarrassment. Congrats to your Sox by the way, that 2012 season was atrociously bad for you guys as well. Hopefully we can make 50% of the bounce back that you guys did. I probably won't be posting here much because I enjoy other forums for sports, but nonetheless it was fun catching up.

Cardinals signed that Cuban SS, was that the one the Yankees wanted? He had a showcase for a number of teams and, apparently, looks very unimpressive. Various scouts have said he's nothing more than a utility infielder that's probably not good enough to last at Short Stop. I'm cool with it.

Sure got a lot of money though, I just think for all the uncertainty the Yankos have with the infield/future they'd take a shot.
