If Bryan goes over at Mania and wins the World Title, with all of the Superdome chanting his name and ''YES!'', he will officially be the most important thing in Wrestling right now, AS A LEGITIMATE FACE (not an edgy tweener like CM Punk was back in 2011/2012). Will there ever be a more perfect time to turn Cena heel? Just imagine Bryan winning while hoisting the championship with the entire crowd chanting ''YES!''. Cena can hoist him on his shoulders after the match (or at the upcoming Raw) and then AA him and shock the world. His reasoning could be that he's the face of the company and nobody gives him credit, that he gave his entire livelihood to the company doing charity events, meet and greets, small live shows, carrying it on his back for nearly 10 straight years. That a guy like Bryan is becoming the #1 guy in the eyes of the fans, and that the WWE Universe doesn't really know best in regards to the direction of the company. I mean I know we all acknowledge the fact that Cena will probably never turn heel because of how much money he brings into the company. I know that this all could/should have been done with CM Punk and that Punk was probably just as over as Bryan is right now and they didn't do anything. But I honestly believe that Vince (knowing him and how he works) is/has been itching to turn Cena heel for awhile, and really is just waiting for the perfect scenario. I mean Rocky/Austin brought in just as much money and actually were more loved by the fans than Cena ever was. They were both turned heel, so it really isn't that out of the question. tl;dr Again, I'm just spitballing. Responses can be about my theory or other theories/possibilities you have about Cena turning heel (or reasons why you think he'll never turn heel).

It's not going to happen. He'll just continue in a programme with the Wyatt's after Wrestlemania, while Bryan will face Batista, Orton, Kane etc.

WWE makes too much money on Cena stuff plus all the kids won't watch Pretty simplistic response. I clearly delved into this aspect, can you be more thorough? Who's to say that kids will stop watching? Honestly, once you're apart of the WWE..things like this will never stop you from watching. Just by looking at the youtube comments sections (most being pre-teens anyways) by the time these kids hit 8-10 they're chanting ''Cena Sucks'' like it's cool again. Vince said it himself, there's no such thing as a ''good guy'' anymore, and hasn't been since the mid 90s. You can try to be one, but the crowd makes the decision on how genuine you are. Cena getting booed for the past 8 years, and Batista's failed face return proves this.

When Bryan is finished with those guys? I mean Cena is going to come for that title sooner or later, having a babyface vs babyface fued can (and obviously has been done) but if one of the two had to go heel, at this point in time Cena and his stale character should.

Cena is like Hogan and won't turn heel until it's the last possible thing he can do.
And wwe won't turn him heel until they have someone to fill his shoes and as much as I like Bryan he's just not at that level.
For most of its existence the WWE has been a promotion carried by its baby faces.

Until there is someone who can outsell Cena in merchandise and there's someone who starts getting as much Make-A-Wish foundation wishes as Cena does, Cena's not turning heel

Until they get a guy selling as much merchandise that also appeals to the children near the amount of Cena, it isn't going to happen.

I get that you're trying to elicit conversation, but we've had this discussion hundreds of times, and it has never happened. For many of us, there isn't anything left to even talk about. John Cena turning heel takes the fun out of even fantasy booking because it's just never going to happen. WWE has had numerous opportunities to turn Cena heel, none greater than WM28, in Miami, against The Rock, and they didn't do it.
This is a financial thing, not a pro wrestling creative thing. Fans have been booing Cena for half a decade, and WWE has never even come close to turning him heel. It's counter productive anyway. The older fans will cheer him, the younger fans will boo him, and he'll see a slow down in Make-A-Wish, which John himself doesn't want to happen. Plus, adults aren't going to buy merchandise the way casual kids buy merchandise, meaning toys, armbands, necklaces and other assorted junk that appeals to kids.
Just not going to happen. I want it to happen, and I think it would be great, but if you're holding your breath on this one then you're going to suffocate.
You really hit the nail on the head though. CM Punk is that guy. He is the top heel that WWE needs and is desperately missing. That obviously isn't in the cards right now, but CM Punk is the most natural top heel WWE has at their disposal, or had at their disposal.

Odds are he turns heel one day. Just not anytime soon. Pretty much when he's nearing the end of his career. Like Hogan did in WCW. Because he had made enough money for the buisness and they needed that edge over the competition being WWF at the time. So yeah, I completely agree. Expect it one day, just not soon.

Very unlikely to happen. WWE is throwing their weight behind Daniel Bryan, and we'll see if he catches on to the extent that Cena has. Chances are, he won't. If he does -- if he becomes the guy that has the highest-rated segments, sells the most tickets (right now, the Bryan shows sell maybe 60% of what Cena's shows sell), sells the most merchandise, gets asked for by Make a Wish kids and sponsors... Then maybe Bryan becomes the new Cena, and Cena can turn heel. It's very unlikely for all those stars to align, though.
Plus, there's very little gained by turning Cena anyway, except the "I WANT TO LIKE HEELS" fans would like him more... And turning someone heel to make some fans like them more is beyond stupid.

While I do think Cena will work as a heel before hanging up his boots for good, it won't until his successor has been clearly defined. Even if that were to be Bryan (and I don't think it will), it would take some time before WWE felt comfortable with pulling the trigger. Bryan would have to be a proven commodity (on a far larger scale than he is now) for them to even entertain the notion, and even then, given his look, it's extremely unlikely.

John Cena is a cash cow for WWE. Despite the fact that adults don't like him, for the most part, he is huge with the kids. He is what Hulk Hogan was back in the day.
As adults now, we can watch Hogan matches from back in the day and realize that they all sucked. He was an awful wrestler. But as kids, we got drawn into the man, the character, and the whole Hulkamania act. The fact that he would "Hulk up" and beat these super sized villains.
It's the same for kids today with Cena. As an adult, I realize that it's a crock that John Cena wins practically every match no matter how severely beaten or what the odds are. But kids, man, they eat that up. He's like a hero to them. I don't think that kids should have that taken away from them for the sake of a "wrestling storyline twist". I mean, kids who have cancer and other illnesses that they are going to die from, their last wish is to meet John Cena. You really can't put a price tag on that. Say what you want about him as a wrestler or an actor...but he's a good person and he's important to a lot of kids.
John Cena will be a heel one day, and it will be after he's no longer anybody's hero and he's no longer selling merchandise. Hulk Hogan didn't become a heel until the kids grew up and they stopped spending money on him. Then, as a heel, he rejuvenated the business again as a bad guy just like he had done over a decade earlier as a face.
That's really my take on the whole situation.
